You've seen the artstyle? Yes, I do mean the beautifully recreated nostalgia art. Calling yourself a rather oldschool gamer who isn't scared off by some texts of wall (that are, mind you, captivatingly written)?
Then check this game out no matter what, unless you really only cum for the ca.. I mean - came for the cum!
In short: There are tons of games out there where you can see all sorts of explicit sex scenes, many of which, and by that I mean most of them, are completely over the top and absurdly fetishized.
This game has a decency to it and by that I mean that it doesn't show off right away but tries to tell an interesting story alongside (cannot say too much on that front yet, but seems to be going in the right direction!).
As can be read on the first couple comment pages, the game, up to this point, doesn't feature nude content and according to the developer never will depict explicit sex scenes or genitalia for that matter.
Which doesn't have to please everyone, but again - the game takes such a refreshing approach and tries to be so much more than a clickable pornhub-video that this fact alone makes it worth your while!
And I do agree with the developer that with the implementation of more sexually oriented content the game will become even hotter as is.
To sum up the pros and cons:
+ + + amazing artstyle
+ + + great retro-feeling
+ + + fantastic, really great music!
+ + + seems to spring from heart and passion
+ + + a developer who's trying his own thing in our dear capitalistic society where slowly everything becomes homogeneous in order to cater to the "needs and wishes" of the customers (e.g. this site where 95% of the games are basically the same boring grind)
+ + women aren't only breeding machines that need a good pump (ten times hotter when a female behaves and reacts at least somewhat like a human being would)
+ + very cool characters and story-driven so far
+ + beautifully drawn characters
+ playable with controller
And to be fair some minor critique
- - some of the dialogs could use a little less text in my opinion. These ero-novels excel the best for me when they manage to be concise (and I know the issue myself with keeping it brief, sigh)
- - the above mentioned underused role of nudity/sexual content
- though the art is superb, some scenes look better than others (a little consistency improvement would earn this category 10/10)
- some characters and scenes could be a little less goofy for my taste. But again, that's personal preference and I am not too keen on overly "nipponized" characters - others might find this to be a plus
