RPGM - Abandoned - Old Man's Inn [v1.3.0] [Cheedle]

So to balance some of the reviews out, if you don't enjoy an old man MC who corrupts pretty women, don't play the game.

Onto visuals: the images on the page are representative of the game, except newer scenes are all animated. If you enjoy this style of animation you'll enjoy the scenes in-game, my only gripe is that they can be quite short. Beyond that, the scenes and girls are really great.

The first scenes are unlocked by simply gathering money for items, but currently quests are introduced which make the game far more interesting. Grinding is a core part of the game, but by introducing upgrades and these quests I've found the experience relatively pain-free. And. a gallery has been added with both tips and replayability for the scenes which automatically made this game far more enjoyable to play.

There is not really much of a story at the moment, although plenty of world-building gets included. The dev is still setting things up, but the world does not feel too empty.

This is a game in early development, so it's not finished or saturated with content. However, there are two main downsides which made me give a lower score. Firstly, the main NPC's don't interact with the player without a quest, which makes the world feel emptier. Perhaps some changing dialogue lines would help, as well as seeing the sprite appear. Secondly, there is very little the player can do regarding money and fame at this moment, which makes the rent/income aspect of the game feel a bit pushy as you can't plan on exactly how you'll increase income.

Overall a strong start, I disagree with some of the more negative comments and feel as if the gallery and changes to the grind so-far indicate that the dev is still balancing things out. If you enjoy great babes getting tricked by a horny old man and have an hour to spare, play the game.

A basic consept for the game "Make/Have an Inn and fuck the tenats while they stay" But it is grindy for the sake of it being grindy and prolonging the game, just that and nothing else realy.
I don't like that the CGs are pretty much gated-keeped behind items like at all! Also even if you want to repeat them you still need to buy said items again it's not like its you abc-->item--->unlock new cg--->can repeat now whenever you want but its abc-->item--->unlock new cg--->raise money again buys same item to see the same CG..... so over it;s kinda a letdown as well as the renders are... basic yeah that's the word I'm looking for...

Average would be too high of a note for this I'm afraid.

The graphics are nothing to write home about.
There's no sounds or atmosphere to speak of.

The direction on what to do are not that great, and aside from getting "not yet in the game", there's very little to be seen.

I gave it one extra star, only because of the different setting against the usual stuff.
Building up resources and remembering to open your inn, is getting on my tits very quickly though.

There's no character development whatsoever, you get X product locked to a specific slut, use it until there's no more content for that slut to see a spicier scene, that is it.

In short I can not see anyone coming back to that game for more, since the graphics and animations are nothing to drool over, and there's no story or character attachment either to hook you on a story. Since the porn side is so bare, it's not even worth it on a fapvalue either.

1.0.0 Review.
As a proof of concept, it's fine. The gameplay loop is taken from a familiar game, but simpler and less grindy. By no means is doing so is bad, but to make it better, improvements can be made. A few suggestions I could make, is using adventurers after you get them to a certain level to get materials for you instead, and scaling the required materials appropriately. Maybe, certain items can only be gathered from the adventurers, instead of just having Penny do all the legwork.

The map for the game does seem interesting, character dialogue hinting for scenes inside & outside the Inn. I do look forward to them in the future.

Characters seem to have a personality that certainly would strike a few chords, but design-wise are sub-par. The Researcher looks more like a peasant rather than a cut-off out-of-touch researcher, the Blacksmith looks like a modern girl rather than an overworked, debt-filled blacksmith, and the Monk looks more like a barbarian than a rude spirit-searching monk. I do not know if it is the limitations of the render programs' clothes that make it so, but if it is, I hope the developer is able to overcome it. I'd be more than happy to praise it. I could suggest a few changes to said characters, but I think it would make this review much, much longer.

The scenes are pretty good for the few the game has, does bring promise for what the developer could make next. Bonus point for being animated, as well. I would suggest changing the perspectives a few times for the animations, get a few interesting shots off.

Overall, I'd say I would be interested in seeing what gets pushed out in the coming updates. Kudos to the developer!

"Man fuck adventurers! . . . Wait a second, that's a brilliant idea!"

So yeah, the concept here is pretty sound. Old man goes to the demon lord, convinces her to allow him to build a tavern on the outskirts of her domain, and starts using various methods to fuck his female guests. I can see this going some fun places, since this could be a lot like a 3D Welcome to the Adventurer's Inn. So there could eventually be quite the list of girls to pork, all the up to nobles, maybe a princess or queen, bishops/holy women, and eventually the hero herself.

Of course I hope that the old man isn't going to pass up trying to land himself some demon/monster booty, because I know we're gonna want to smash that demon lord herself with that bitchy attitude of hers.

The upgrade system can have the potential of being gindy, so hopefully that doesn't happen, but I do like the changes that happen to the inn as you upgrade from a dingy little shack to a more robust tavern. I also see the rear of the inn becoming something like an open-air bathing area, plenty of possibility there.

The graphics are pretty box standard for a 3D RPG, but it is nice to see the scenes animated. So that's a more attractive prospect than just CGs.

For now I'll reserve my final score, but I'm hopeful we can see this go somewhere soon. If the next update has at least 1 new girl with a scene, and a new scene for each of the current ones, then I might consider throwing some support in. (as of version 1.0.0)
