Ren'Py - Old Profession [v0.9112] [DAssman]

Played this game last month, and my experience was great with it!

You have lots of control of the MC's actions, and she has many different scenes with a lot of characters. Animations are nice and models for female characters are beautiful!

Each character here is super hot in a different kind of way, I hate when games have almost the same body for every woman. It also sucks when a game forces you to grind hours and you get just a softcore image with some text. On the other hand in this game there's very little grind and many scenes to watch, almost all of them with animations.

The game has a light hearted tone to it, which I like! In short, this is a beautiful game with tons of sex scenes.

has good parts, but gets boring quickly, primarily because the story is complete nonsense.

The animations are hot but short, no sound expect basic music. The fighting is fun, but nothing special. The rest of the gameplay is like any sandboxVN (get money, pay rent, improve stats). There not many characters and the story is complete nonsense. The main character acts like an alien trying to understand human life. While looking for a job, she sees a hooker fucking and then decides to become one too even though she doesn't seem to know what sex is. It's just weird man

Time for a review!

Anal content: the developer is kind of focused on this fetish so his games are more aligned to focus on the butt of the girls, which is good. So far the game has few scenes with a PAYWALL blocking other ones, the available ones are nice. I think it has 2 or 3 battle poses plus the event ones.

Kind of reminded me of Monster Girl Dreams with the battle fuck system, but a lot more watered down and with fewer enemies. So far, the battles isnt very much interesting as the MGD ones.

The render's have a good quality and the scenes are in general good, but few.

The story is lame and uninteresting, plus doesnt make much sense even for a porn game. Maybe would be good if the author goes full parody mode to at least be more bearable the story parts.

And, the paywall for other content parts is really a shame, specially for a game in the beginning AND which isnt so much famous like for example Once a Porn a Time.

Positives

Overall is a game with potential but still very crude and the paywall is hurting more than anything (I doubt the dev are getting much money this way), I would advice the author to at least keep the content unblocked and focus in the patreon requests to gain more ppl following and wishing more content, the money comes with the time.

That was an big dissapointment for me. I mean the characters look good enough. The setting (if with the ??? 2 realities) is standard...getting money to pay the rent, buy equipment to get more money....the usual.

BUT it looks like the dev forgot to insert even an ounce logic into the game.
We have an well educated girl. She could get some good paid job. But what is she doing? On the 2nd day she watched an prostitute. And than thinks about doing it herself and maybe get some experience with an former friend of her.
OK, no problem with that. But if you can meet the prostitute again on the 3rd day she tells you that you must work out and than she can show you some tricks......and than the option to work as an prostitute is still open and guess what: our virgin girl, with just watching sex 1 time does public sex with an orc.
That's a brain dead game!

While the animations aren't awful, the writing surrounding it is just what appears to be auto-translated garbage. Just trying to comprehend what's happening is an absolute waste of time. I don't know about anyone else, but I can't just watch a slideshow and skip all the text, and this AVN has a lot of text that is just total nonsense, the story, the dialogue, the characters, and the visual quality isn't enough to hold it up.

It's a free version, many features locked behind patreon paywalls, garbage upload of an otherwise passable game i suppose.

You play as some chick that moves to a city to become a whore, you whore yourself out for money but there are 2 different currencies, gold and $$, u get gold for sex, you get $$ for distributing flyers, kinda strange to whore yourself out for a currency you can't really use.

THE GOOD

- Girls are beautiful
- Sex animations are better than most games, between good and fantastic
- Many sex scenes with different positions
- There are tips for game objectives
- Girls have distinct personalities
- Camera angles tend to be good
- No grinding (or very little), so not much time wasted with boring stuff
- Everything in the game is about sex
- Mix between magic stuff and mundane, with a bit of RPG elements


THE BAD

- Still in early state
- Dialogue can be janky sometimes
- The story is silly and looks like it doesn't take itself very seriously (that's fine for me, since it's a sex game, but some people might want more romance)


CONCLUSION

Many good things, lots of sex, cute girls and a magic vibe with few minor inconveniences.

I look forward for more content.

Since this had no reviews I've decided to post one, even though this game is in really early state.

Good:
- art
- porn and how everything in game is about it
- setting

Bad:
- writing, it feels pretty dry
- amount of content

The game is definitely NOT worth downloading as of v0.03, this is more of a proof of concept rather than a game, with content worth about 15-20 minutes of game time. The idea is not bad, but writing is not. Gameplay is completely fine, could use some better UI but other than that it's ok.

While the game is worth only 3 stars in its current state, all it needs for 4 stars is more content and considering that I propably won't bother updating this review I will leave it at that.
