Old saves dont work ! is so frequent now, any ideas why?

Hi,
that is the price to pay to play games in their early development stage - any modification in later versions may alter previous data/paths/whatever and screw your old save.
Or you won't have access to new features because they need a condition not included in your old save. (horizontal Dev)
that's why a lot of Devs warn that their games are in Alpha or early Beta - and that things may change/vary during development.
(Shit happens)

If it's Ren'py games, it's because their authors didn't take the time to read the doc, or to read the How To wrote by someone who read it. They assume that it's a natural behavior (since too many Ren'py games have it) and don't even care to search if a solution exist.
