RPGM - Completed - One Girl's Adventure in Another World [v1.0] [Green Tea]

When people complain about RPG Maker games, this is what they're referring to. The art is alright (the only thing keeping this from being a 1-star), and the scenes are decent, if perhaps a little generic, but the gameplay mechanics are absolutely miserable. I generally don't mind RPG Maker mechanics but these were incredibly annoying. The maps are needlessly large and meandering, and the fights are at best boring, and at worst miserably annoying.

This game was decent and heard it's getting a sequel. I'm actually excited that I get to play it. There's a few games with beautiful artwork and roam. Wish it had more scenes and roaming experience(with/without clothes) in the first game.

The gameplay and combat are a clear afterthought - they are completely bog standard RPGMK faire. So, if the dev does not care about that part, why are the maps so huge? Why are there both overworld enemies AND random encounters? It's very tedious.

As to the porn: the corruption was total shit. There is no transition between states; no acknowledgement by the main character; suddenly you jump from hesitantly accepting groping to loving a full gangbang. The art is great though. Just download the gallery somewhere >_>

Porn games don't have very many requirements to reach a 3/5. They need porn, need gameplay, and the story should be coherent. This game has porn and the story makes sense. The gameplay exists, but it's lacking (in short, it is far too easy). It qualifies to be a solid 3/5. However, the artwork for this game is so good, I feel it needs a 4/5. Genuinely, the h-scenes are beautifully drawn and highly erotic. I wish a 5/5 game had his artwork. This is his first work and has a planned sequel in the same world, so I have hope for the future. Side note, the one and two star reviews are genuinely braindead critiques, while the five star reviews are too generous.

The Good

• The artwork is fantastic. It's a solid 11/10. His way of drawing is unique yet familiar, the characters are well proportioned, and the scenes are drawn extremely well.
• Speaking of artwork, the FemC has a realistic appearance and has the "right amount" of squish to her.
• Great translation. In the sea of MTL, its great to finally have a game with a story you can actually read.
• The story is overall solid. The plot is coherent, everything that occurs makes sense, and, while not gripping and kind of generic, you will not lose interest.
• The amount of scenes is appropriate for the length of the game.
• H-scenes are easily obtained. You'd have to be daft or have never played a h-game before to miss them.
• Only requires one playthrough.
• There's not too much "sex text" to bog down the porn.

Not good but not detrimental

• Aside from bosses, combat is too easy. That means no grinding, but conversely easy combat kills a main gameplay element.
• There are some timing issues with the text (example: you can have her give one person a BJ, then give a second person a BJ but in that second scene she treats it as her first BJ).
• Most h-scenes are formulaic: Brothel, bunny-girl, maid for rich pervert, orc, tentacle monster, bandit boss, etc. The beach stand is unique as are some of the "one-offs", but this is not enough to balance the unique with formulaic. That said, its not an issue.
• Yes, the maps are mostly all mazes. While not unique, it is engaging. This is a game, you play the game, you solve the maze. They're not difficult unless you're inept.
• This is entirely on me, but I thought the femininely drawn tan person on the "cover art" was a female and was gonna get railed. He is not female and (thankfully in hindsight) doesn't get railed.

The Bad

• You can't hide dialogue. The art is 11/10 but you need to find a instance of short, internal dialogue in order to get the "full picture." This should be a standard feature by now.
• I'm not a fan of how all of the ways for FemC to lose her virginity, aside from the storyline sex scene later on, are rape scenes. This game is mostly vanilla (for h-game standards), so it's a bit odd.
• Money and the guild are useless, there's no reason to include them.
• No h-scene while she's in her white attire or the full maid outfit
• There's quite a few bugs, you will encounter at least two on a playthrough. If you save before any important event (obvious story progression moment or h-scene), which you should be doing regardless, then you'll likely have no issues.

It's a fantastic fap and enjoyable story for 3 hours of effort, why would you not give it a shot?

The game was alright, maps were a pain, and I almost put the game down when I was trying to collect slime essence at the start of the game. The mobs you fight later in the game are basically damage soakers. I'd say tone down the mob hp, and you can tone down the special moves.

Also for a move that costs 45 tp to cast, it should hit more frequently, I missed way to many times on that move, even with 10 boosts to my attack power.

The teleport circles were great loved them, I was able to navigate most of the mazes using very little in the way of potions due to the MC talents, most of the potions went to Pei, it seemed like you could escape all the fights very easy with a few exceptions, but all in a fun game.

A few of the scenes showed as lockedl even though I had seen them, and I'm guessing the others were locked because I had not rested at an inn before coming back in that area. I still have no idea how to get the drunk scene, but I'm not worried about.

I saw a lot of nonsense discussions going on under this game. first of all, the most common complaint is that the maps are too complex, they are not, they are almost the same complexity as any rpgm game.

The battle system is not very good but not very bad either, the good thing is that the game does not require much grind.

The scenario of the game is good but it becomes inconsistent in some places. and some endings are really harsh. also corruption in the game does not affect much except for the scenes, but the characters were good. teleportation points called idol in the game make travelling much easier.
but the random event encaunter in some places can be annoying.

there are many side events in the game and H-scenes are usually obtained from here, especially steer city is full of side events. the H-scenes in the game has lot of variation and beautifully drawn. really erotic and hot. fapability is very high. you also do not have a shortage of money with these events. in general, the H-events of the game are excellent.

the music in the game is varied, at times very harmonious and at other times very loud. you may want to turn the volume down. there are some bugs in the game but not too much trouble

the game lasts 4-5 hours and is ideal for the number of scenes

To summarize briefly: the game has great scenes, the characters and the script are good, the battle system is not very good but not bad and there is no grind in the game. there is not much other problems in the game. the scenes of the game are definitely worth seeing so my advice is don't listen to those who expect gta 6 from the game. I definitely recommend you to play the game.

Gameplay has potential if he refines it more in later works. But Hscenes and CG art is great. Wish there were more Hscenes interaction in towns. Support the author so there will be more upcoming works from him. Love the game

2- so tough controls idk about u but i usually hate RPGM game cuz they controls and cut-ins animations that can`t be speed up a bit
3- u just can flee with one click and go to the next
4- boring kill bug u can`t rerun the game or doing anything so save a lot if u won`t to regret about the time u wasted plying and not saving for an bug

Pretty good, wanted to give a 4 star but the areas are WAY too big for a game with an awful generic combat wich also doesn't has any kind of H-content in the combat, that aside the art and dialogue in the story is kinda good and the game also has art during some dialogues wich is actually very uncommon in this type of games wich is a plus, the dev dialogue at the end was nice, i am 100% playing the sequel. but i do think that if the exploration and combat are going to be this garbage the game should straight up be a walking simulator with choices to decide events and story progression stuff.

This game is just a giant waste of time

1. Maps are stupidly huge, 6-tile wide corridors are extremely common...

2. Maps are full of mazes, to go between cities often you will traverse 5+ mazes in a row, it is just silly.

3. Game is buggy, I uninstalled it after a door I had to go through opened itself due to me touching the door at same time as a random battle triggered, then I touched a sparkly bit on the floor, that was supposed to open the door, and it CLOSED the door instead, and now I was stuck.

4. Oh yeah, you see enemies on the map, but avoiding them doesn't help you, because they added random battle anyway.

5. Very, very long battle animations, that you can't skip.

6. Enemies are kinda super easy, specially with the insane speed you level up (sometimes levelling up several levels for several fights in a row), but all battles still take forever because enemies are HP sponges and animations are slow.

7. As far as I know, the game has almost no lewd, I played for 2 hours, and the only lewd I saw was a badly written blowjob shota scene. And I am not into shota.

Not really much to say about this one, it's basically exactly what you'd expect from someone's first foray into using RPGM. Lots of stock assets, stock maps, stock music and stock RPGM combat. Plot is your standard isekai adventurer plot except they got bored half way through I guess, after the obligatory bandits are defeated you just go climb a tower and the game ends. Or rather the gameplay portion does, then it turns into a scene hunter because to send her home you need 5 million gold and there's only one way to earn money as a female adventurer.

As for the porn, eh it's fine. Sadly like the rest of the game it's just too formulaic, work as a maid for a rich guy, work as a bunnygirl, work as a waitress, you've seen it all before with more depth.

I'm probably being too harsh, it's their first game afterall, but literally the only interesting thing about the whole experience is that the main character's weapon is a ruler. Oh and I've no idea why it's listed as a 8-12 hour game, main story is cleared in less than two and there's not that many scenes to hunt down.

Okay, game finished, time to review.

First of all, thank you
@fountain for the quality translation and the QOL changes you made, (like the teleportation idols added), it really made the game smoother.

Now, as I stated this before, the main strong point of this game is the art and scenes, which are gorgeous and hot. I also really appreciate that the majority of the scenes are really sex positive, I do enjoy the vanilla flavour.

Gameplay wise it's nothing groundbreaking, but not bad either. Money comes easily, experience comes easily, and you can really quickly farm max libido (which is required to trigger progressively more lewd H content). I think I've spent like 2 minutes or even less at the beach spamming the part time job there pumping my libido value from like 20 to 40, (Thanks for the change here too fountain) than went to work as bunny girl. (those scenes are just *chef's kiss*).

The story is also really nice, again, nothing really special, but still stands out for me.

Back to gameplay, what you really do is go through a dungeon, beat a boss, advance the main story, and follow instructions on where to go next. Between them you do part time jobs to earn money, and watch sexy scenes.
There's no real reason to explore, since the maps are mostly empty, what you can find in chests are simply money and potions, but those can be earned pretty easily. (On a side note, do not spend much time on collecting slime mucus or whatever for the quest, drop rate is low, and you can literally buy those at the black market.)

The quest from the blonde haired girl at the end of the game caught me off guard, but it was a really nice touch. It feels that lot of love was put into this game, which I appreciate. It is also the dev's first game, and considering this, it's actually really good.

Full gallery save is included, (save 20), but if you want to play through it and collect the scenes yourself, rest assured, nothing is missable, there are game over scenes, but you don't really need to lose to get those scenes. Simply play through the game, and once you unlock free roam and the recollection room, you can unlock all CGs by interacting with the crystal there. (You need to do a little something first though)

I absolutely enjoyed the game, and I hope the dev will make more in future.

Generic story and gameplay but well executed for the most part. The protagonist is likable and the shota sidekick isn't much of a bother since he's not present for most of the game. Some elements of the game are surprisingly polished while others are a bit bland such as the maps. The corruption system is slow in the sense of requiring repetition, the money system also requires some repetition. These gameplay elements could have been avoided but it's not that much of a detriment to the overall experience. The quality of CGs is very good which makes it worth playing and honestly maybe even a bit underrated since it has fallen under the radar.

Damn, this is some really good art that is completely wasted on one of the most generic RPGs you could possibly create. There is just straight up no reason at all to play this game. It feels like someone took some premade template project with barebones features and just slapped some CG into it. Maps are big, confusing and empty, you get 1 or 2 enemy types per map, items don't matter, levels don't matter, nothing matters tbh. It's just there, probably because removing it would require more effort than what we got in the end.

I was considering giving it a 2 stars because of the art but screw this. If you wanna make H art then just make H art. If you're gonna make a H game, then i expect it to be a game, not just a piece of software to download to view your gallery.
