Are you talking about the dances from her? I don't think those are normal spells since they can lower another aspect of the character instead of ooze.
I think they're talking about Momo's Divination spells. Currently, those spells require no Green Ooze to learn, only completing certain tasks for her. The trade off is that they tend to acquire or make it easier to acquire Ditziness in Phaera, which leads to more Bimbo scenarios.

When I revise the game proper (again), it should turn into a proper spell line, separating it from the dances. Coincidentally, Divination is also the only spell line that goes up to level 4 currently.

Well the game is interesting, lots of world building in the books and talks but... I don't know if I'm playing the game wrong because the first quest I picked up, a trivial bounty, I could not complete, as I could not pass what I assume are charm or strength checks. Okay, I guess I need to train more no problem, it costs 100 to train in the barracks, I don't know where to train charm so I'll stick to that for now. Working gets me 25-50ish cash a turn so I can train every 3 turns or so if that's all I do.

I choose to keep going to the library and mixing in reading books in at home, explore around town etc. Well, the second month started. "A hydra has been spotted go fight it, I believe in you!" says your mentor. I respond with "Bitch you crazy? I tricked a zombie into an iron maiden and that's the only combat experience I have! You taught me how to summon a small slime so far." My character however, does not say this and goes off to fight a hydra.

Hydra attacks for 20 damage x 2, I have 38 max hp. First combat encounter is a one shot game over. Turns out Int and studying as a wizard is not viable.

I've had some criticism over the end of month quest against the Hydra. Looking to repurpose it and a lot of the other stuff to make the game less obtuse while providing more ways of working out a solution. Among these is to make Conjuration better overall.

The Hydra can be dealt with through a number of ways currently. Torches/Burning it will cut off its regeneration and you can activate Sweet Scent to lower overall damage. There's also the part where you can plan ahead and set up traps the night before that can reduce its HP total.
