I've tried all the available links, the ones in the OP, the Itchio one and the compressed. The only one that worked for me was an older version of the game on Itchio, but I wanted to try the latest version. It must be a problem related to the latest version of the game, unless people are actually playing the latest version without any issue in which case I have no idea.

On the other hand, they revealed that the Equestria Girls fangame is purported to have more NSFW stuff than NOVEL. What that means, I don't know for sure, but given it's being drawn by MisCon I can only hope for good things.

However, I found another fan game of Equestria Girls. The game's art style is very faithful to the original work. It's called "Lust is Magic". The author is Dierrt77. He accepts sponsorship on the patreon website, but his game is highly confidential. It seems that if you don't sponsor $10, he won't give you the download link of the game. And only when you sponsor $10 will he send you the download address of the game to your private mailbox. So far, there is hardly any free version of this game available. If you can get one, could you send it to f95? I can't handle the sponsorship here, so I can't get this game...

I think they will do this because a few years ago, a game development team also encountered this situation. There were acquaintances I knew in the team, so I learned about it. He had just joined the team dealing with other languages and had not yet been included in the producer list, thus escaping unscathed. However, I can't provide any evidence about this matter.
