Nothing spells angsty teen writing like gigantic, unrealistic breasts. It's ridiculous and weird and I have yet to read a story I cared about with such a "focus".
I actually kind of like what the Dev is trying to do here, it's admirable and a decent amount of effort obviously went into it. There's a few weird immersion breaking things, like a 90's household kitchen in a prototype, top of the line spaceship and mobile phones... I guess, we never moved past that. To be honest, the game starts out really really rough (and bland and shallow), but it does get a bit better at the end.
But while the world building is good...ish, there's a few critical things, I just can't look past:
- The sex scenes are completely gratuitous. They have no build up and have nothing to do with the story. Of course, the captain fucks his crew on the first day, right? What do I know, I never served. They are mostly stupid, unrealistic and detrimental to the story.
- The MC is more of a bro than a captain. He also talks like it and is a bit of a push over initially. If you try to give the story a military feeling, show at least a minimum amount of discipline.
- The "Love" Interests (of which there's again too many) mostly fall flat. The only character that has a somewhat deep and believable development is Lym.
All the other crewmates are basically walking tits that use stereotypical talking points that were probably poached from an 80's Star Trek Porn Parody Movie.
So, C- for effort.
