ORYO is a multiplayer roleplaying sandbox game that we are developing. It aims first and foremost to provide an extensive framework and realistic settings to the players to help minimize their efforts to immerse and commit themselves fully to the characters they roleplay and to the world around them. Initial idea and development of ORYO started about a year ago as a standalone multiplayer RP game. 6 months later we quit our full time game dev jobs to focus on this project. Since then we have been hard at work developing this game non-stop.
WHAT'S IN THE GAME RIGHT NOW?
The preview build consists of our initial designs in both art and gameplay areas, meaning the build is still very early in development and very barebones. We are releasing this as a proof of product, as in demonstrating that we are committed to see this project to the end.The art, gameplay mechanics and pretty much everything in the preview build are expected to have major changes in the days ahead.
We currently have our base customizable characters and a few clothing items for you to try.
There is a placeholder sandbox environment that is incomplete but still traversable so you can get a feel for the art style of the game too.
A basic version of our emote system is in place and you can try out the emotes as well.
We have a basic implementation of our interaction system included, you can interact with the NPCs (placeholders for players) and some objects in the world such as benches in the street.
There are also a few intimate actions that you can do with the placeholder NPC characters in the starting zone...
We are aware that there is no "game" or any interesting content in the build yet. Again, this preview is just to give you a feeler for our game's vibes and demonstrate our hard earned progress up until this point.
