Is that whole online safety act that the UK keeps pushing, and I think Australia is doing something similar or whatever or were they just hitting games and banks? Either way, will any of that affect this website?

This website? Not directly, no.
They might struggle with some hosts if they enforce their rules, but host bans already happen. Shouldn't be that big of a deal even if they become stricter, and of course it might influence the rate the games get posted (Due to devs, if they're impacted).
