As we wait between cycles I have a question for the thread. Who do you like more, Qiu or Tamarack. I think for me it depends on the MC I'm playing, but in general I like Qiu more.
Tamarack definitely, i don't like Qiu's smugness or his "better than thou attitude"
I used to like qiu more, he was nice to everyone and such a sweet boy, but tamarack is more aggressive in the hide and seek step, which I prefer. In step two Tamarack is my favorite, qiu is cute, but can be a pain. Also the way he's so passive with his friends treating the mc bad in the new step...he looses a point.
Tamarack was right about him, he wants to be liked by everyone which in itself is very self destructive. He cannot pick any sides to the point he would only end up caring about HIS image than the feelings of his friends
I would like to see a moment where Qui has to make a hard choice between the player and idk a group of friends, maybe even the boy's club (although doubtful given how they don't last past step1 )
Imagine mc being the catalyst of that club breaking up
Tamarack has grown on me a lot, especially with the little bit of time spent with her in step 2 so far. But I still prefer Qiu, the drama and angst that comes with them in step 2 is what i'm looking forwards to the most.

Can't really choose, adore both. I'd probably say Qiu a biit more only because I relate to them with their gender journey so it kinda hits personally lolol

I like Qiu a bit more at this point, but that might just be because I find first step Tamarack to be a bit.. much to deal with personality wise, at least while playing a quieter/more 'lets think things through' kind of character

Me too, I’m kinda curious to get to know Tamarack more in Step 2, as she feels more mature and thoughtful. In Step 1, she was more on the chaotic side, in a straightforwardly funny yet unaware way.I like Qiu a bit more at this point, but that might just be because I find first step Tamarack to be a bit.. much to deal with personality wise, at least while playing a quieter/more 'lets think things through' kind of character
Qiu, on the other hand, caught my attention since Step 1 because he can be smugly smart/witty and insistently considerate at the same time, which is super interesting. Also, I find him extremely funny at times. I’m very curious to see how he’s going to be in future moments during Step 2.
Oh that's not the problem, the problem is the product of it, like i said, he becomes concerned of HIS image than the feelings of his friends. That's why i said its self destructive
We've already seen it happen with hide and seek and by HIS OWN ADMISSION he knows that its wrong what he did, now we're seeing it again with baxter and darren, and I've yet to see him reflect on his actions and think back. It's fine not to understand that not everyone likes you but its not fine to abandon your friend's feelings once more
