It's been a about a year since I checked in on this game. How far along has it gotten? Is it to where you become adults yet and has any romance started? Last I saw it was just childhood. I'd like to start but kind of on the fence. May wait until it's complete
The game is at the beginning of step 2 so the characters just started high school. If your interest is mainly in the romance I would advise to keep waiting.
so i noticed they drop the internsex option for part 2 is that a temporarly thing or a perment thing
When you start the game you get to pick your gender AND birth sex, intersex is part of birth sex. In step 2 you change your gender (male, female, non-binary), can't really change the birth sex there. Most likely because it's rare to get gender affirming surgeries at the age of 14, and GB Patch wants to make a cozy game, so probably won't be any medical emergencies that would require surgery or anything of the kind.
Because intersex is your SEX, not gender identity. If you pick intersex at the beginning - you will stay intersex physically, no matter what you pick later on. You are not picking your physical attributes in step 2 or further, only what you yourself feel like - just like Qiu goes from being a male to being non-binary. Their body doesn't change, it's their identity that changes.

Yeah, like they said, it's not your gender. The thing about intersex folks though are that they get assigned genders like everyone else does, I'm pretty sure the parents have the say so on what their kid's gender will be if they're intersex but they're free to obviously not agree with that when they're older. I'm not sure if that technically counts as being transgender if you do that... The complications of humans, man. /lh
It's less about your physical attributes because... you can change that to fit who you are as a person but it literally just has to do with how you were born. If you were not considered male or female (via your sex aka assigned gender at birth match/biological traits), then you are considered intersex (typically perceived as people who are born with both biological traits)
Fun Fact: Yusuf is intersex! "He was born intersex, was assigned female, and transitioned to male as an adult." (so i guess it does count as being transgender, the more you know ^^)
It is, which, as I said - is the physical body of the MC. What you pick in step 2 and possibly also in later steps like in the previous game is the gender you feel like, not what your body reflects. So if you pick intersex in step 1 and then decide in step 2 that you are male or female or non-binary - your pronouns and how people see you will/can change, but MC's body won't, at least not in step 2, they will stay intersex. Who knows what GB Patch has planned for later.

I feel like that's weirdly insensitive when you bring it into irl terms because hermaphrodite is outdated and considered derogatory while intersex has to do with irl biology and is an actual scientific/medical term. They're completely different imo, you should search up intersex vs hermaphrodite to understand how it works more! ^^
im old and thats what it was back in the day and i dont even see it as a derogatory term its just a simple descriptor is all. would futanari then been the kinder term intsed of hermaphro
Futanari is more or less just a pornographic term, while the word is basically just japanese for hermaphrodite it is pretty much exclusively used in porn to mean "woman with penis". Intersex is definitely the most common and accepted word to use for people displaying physical traits of mixed gender.

Besides, humans biologically cannot be hermaphrodites, as it would require for a person to produce both sperm and egg cells, and that is just not possible in humans. (And also - intersex is a term that encapsulates all people who's sex characteristics don't fit the male or female binary, which doesn't always mean someone has both genitalia, or that it's even visible.)
Whilst a condition that causes a person to have both exists, it's extremely rare, and only one gonad, if either, is going to be fertile; Therefore - not hermaphrodites. It's not only rude, but also just categorically false to call any person that.

Another beta has arrived. I do want to say right away that playtime-wise this is shorter than we usually do. Things have been developing, though. There's fundamental fixes and QoL improvements in this build. We're also at point where things are stable enough for us to hire a new programmer to help implement scripts! Nobody new has joined the team just yet, but going forward we'll hopefully have even bigger updates than usual.
