But Kab is finished with Step 1? It is the last thing she's doing for the step besides you know, adding more things to the MC doll. Their attention for writing, scripting, coding, art, etc is all on Step 2 right now then they'll get the Step 2 VAs after Step 2 is finished the same way they're doing for S1.

While my full name isn't there, the shortened version is. Which is neat enough, but I'm not really concerned since I'm not the biggest fan of the Voice acting but I appreciate the attempt.

It's just a shame my actual name is never in any games like this whatsoever. I mean, Christian has to be a semi-common name right? But they go from Chris and skip straight to Christopher.

OL2: The Voiced Names List


Hey! I'm now able to share what should be the finalized voiced name list for OL2. It's 1,657 options in total, haha. I hope everybody finds a name that works for them!

Though, there is still a chance there will be small changes to the list. If a backer forgot to submit a name or really needs to change the name they picked, I'll update the info.
And here's some quick notes on the voiced name system in general:

Only Tamarack and Qiu will have voice lines for these names, no side character will. But they will be voiced by the two leads in all four Steps!

It's possible to spell a name differently in the game while using voice files for it. If you want to turn "Franky" into "Frankie", that's totally doable.

These names were chosen by backers of the OL2 Kickstarter. We're not not able to accept new names at this point in development.

You can only voice your first name. If you have a nickname, you can't pick a voiced name for it even if your nickname is on this list.

I don't really like the VC either, but it's only kids so it's way too early to judge. My name is usually on these lists because it's very popular. People paid for it and got what they wanted. Tbh when my name was voiced in OLBA, it just made me cringe lol cause it was bad

Well, people did say on this thread that they wanted a "fair shot" at getting their name on there despite not even funding for the game itself, which is hmm to me. I get the whole thinking the names are silly or what they deem stupid but in the end, how the names got up there was through support out their own wallet, you can express displeasure but the outrage about it is what had me at a loss. Also you're so real for that LMAOO

Also!! I was just telling you what Kab's said. She likes to finish everything for one step in one go rather than having to go all the way back and add in things lolol, I can understand what you mean :]

It's beta day! Sorry it's coming so late, there were bugs to fix today and my internet didn't want to work. But it's here now and you can play Part 1 of a Step 2 Moment. I think it's quite nifty. You'll be able to see even more how there's similarities and differences in your OL2 experiences being a child in Step 1 and being a teen in Step 2. Assistance could almost be considered a sequel to one of the Step 1 Moments .

I'm not "slandering" anybody what a weird choice of a word I just thought some of the names were odd and some are to "me" just because I find them odd doesn't mean I'm slandering people specifically it's just an opinion you are reaching this way out of proportion if you don't like my opinion then ignore it ‍♂ .

Maybe I should have worded that better but I already clarified I don't mind if people support the game and get what they asked for I just thought some names were a little too goofy to be voiced and I didn't think some people would use them at all that's literally it I'm not slandering specific people because I literally don't know who even asked for those names to be added in the first place frankly it's not my business nor do I care enough about this to hurt specific people enough to "slander" them.

I also ended this convention and said I just wouldn't use them at all so does it really matter what I expressed vs the others who will use them? if they want to and the other users who do like the voices/ name choices then they can I have no objections.
