change your gender and pronouns in the step 2 character screen to anything, so long as it's not the gender/pronouns you had in step 1

there was supposed to be four gender options right?, female, male, non-binary, intersex. i only see three in step 2

that's because intersex is not a gender. if you want a different gender besides male and female, you choose non-binary and write the name of your gender in-game. if you want to be intersex, you select the intersex option in the step 1 character creation. the reason intersex isn't considered a gender is that you can't change the sex you were born with (at least not without surgery, but i don't think surgery will be available in the game until step 4—just a guess, so don't quote me). that's why you can't change your sex after step 1.
this is in step 1, in the step 2 character creation there is only the gender option.

“Darren gasped; Baxter brightened. Qiu always impressed, even when he made declarations while the [three of them/four of you] were squatted to the ground cleaning up a mess he’d made.”
qiu “Yep. We’ve got a phone right here!”
“Still crouching, still gathering those pages, Qiu jerked his head to a side table behind him. There was a silver and black phone that was mostly squishy looking buttons and a teeny, tiny screen.”

OL2: Tamarack Backyard (Step 2)
We're checking off the few remaining things for the demo update! Tamarack's backyard needed a Step 2 version. It's very similar to the S1 version. Omi and Opa don't tend to change things, haha.
