I'm pretty sure GB said she hasn't decided yet! She hasn't even finished writing step 2 yet so I don't think we'll be getting step 3 info until a little later in the year

Oh okie tyy! I figured as much but its been on mind for awhile, kinda hoping for senior year cuz I really want see my mc experience it

I've generally been assuming that the jumps will all be 4 years (so 10-14-18-22).
Since the story always seems to start in/focus on fall, I'm going to assume Step 3 would be the start of college, because most people are 17 at the start of high school senior year and 18 at the start of college freshman year. And having Step 3 be a massive shake-up because you're now going to a completely different school (and Qiu and Tamarack wouldn't necessarily come with you) could make for some interesting conflict dynamics.
Of course, that's all just pure supposition on my part. And I could easily see the argument that Step 3 should be senior year of high school for exactly the same reason - because shifting the focus to college throws a massive monkey wrench into tons of things, and sort of requires a reset of most of the cast. Whereas a story set in senior year means you can keep all your existing cast, and make the anxiety about planning to go to college/everyone splitting up the core of the drama.

If the last game is any indicator, it'll probably be graduating/graduated and trying to figure out colleges to go to
So far, it seems to be retreading ground from the last game in the series of "things changing" especially given what's said within the game by characters about the future.
Personally, I'm more than ok with that given that the cast is nothing like that of Always & Forever so the reactions and such are lot different.

If we're going to use the first game as an example probably recently graduated but take that with a whole lot of salt
I don't think step 3 can be recently graduated because the game is set in a specific season and town; the academic year starts around the start of the step.
If one of the cul-de-sac trio goes to college they can't be in the grove. We haven't been told about a college in town right?

It's most likely gonna be before graduation, given that each step starts during the first day of school and I don't see them changing that up, not to mention that they're not gonna force the MC to go/not go to college.

Does anyone have the new patreon images? The sketches and opals new hair etc
when i said recently graduated i was actually thinking about college/university graduation since it would make more of an impact in step 3 if the casts are new young adults now. seeing how the town they grew up in has changed/remained the same lol the nostalgia vibes would hit so hard for those attached to their hometown
They're 18 in step 3 so that's not possible.

Aaaaaaaah I can't wait! Both figuratively and literally, they're so good and I genuinely want to play the whole thing asap but I also understand why it is. I can barely contain myself and I haven't even gotten the whole release.
