I also remember him extending an invitation to Lena in front of Holly at the civic center event, but I don't think he specifically invited Holly did he? She invites both Lena and Holly at the same time, Holly is surprised to be included (even if she's dating Ian) but says yes. I don't think there's any further reference to it, so it's not strange that you don't remember it.

Her knowledge or lack thereof of their drama is inconsequential. If something doesn't end with Ian's dick inside her, she won't care. She's not going to the beachhouse most likely for work reasons, but if for whatever reason she was, and she did invite Cherry even if it is to spite Lena, as Socrambus said, Cherry is mature enough to reject the invitation if she knows Lena will be there.

If Lena meets with Seymour, the bum will show up recognizing Lena from the ally, trying to aplogize for scaring her, Seymour will then chase him off. Seymour then goes on to say he looks really familiar, like his old business partner. Later, at the civic center if Lena offer him money; the implication becomes Seymour screwed the man over, leaving him homeless.

It ain't like there are many realistic scenarios where random average gymbros like Ian can get tons of pussy in such a closed social circle. Ian as a player gets plenty of hook ups that can turn into romance which is great.

It's infinitely easier to crank up random sexual encounters for a female protagonist while staying somewhat etched in reality.

I'm pretty sure that Lena and Ian are always going to be at the beach house. In the real world it would make sense for her to back out, considering she very likely hasn't developed strong bonds of friendship with the rest of the scooby gang, aside from possibly Emma, but since this this is a game and Eva would have to write an entirely different chapter with entirely different scenes, characters, and dialogue. This beach house trip is one of the big three events we're expecting to wrap up the story, so it would be weird to not include Lena at all in it.

If Lena and Ian aren't together, then Lena has option in the epilogue to indicate her willingness to go or lack thereof, and it's stored in a variable.

I think it'd be just as weird to do all this song and dance if in the end player isn't given any choice whether they attend this or not. Keep on mind that Lena not attending opens her schedule to interactions with her other routes (Mike, Robert, Stan, possibly Jeremy, not sure if he's coming) and that can be a way to start wrapping these up. So between this and Ian being potentially paired with someone else, there isn't necessarily much sense in forcing Lena to go, if she hasn't developed close connection with people who are going to be there.

And Lena seems to be convinced by Emma (if she hasn't already accepted), no matter what relationship she has with Ian or your choices as a player.

Lena is at best, wavering if she didn't want to go. And don't forget outing with Emma is completely optional. Lena can very well go shopping alone, and then it'd be quite weird for her to change her mind out of the blue and ignoring player's input.
