I bet she’ll release at least 1 december for take another month payment, new queen milker should marry L&P
If she wanted to stretch it out for another month, she could have just set a release date for December. Not like anyone could challenge her on it.

My guess would be that there was a delay on the colorist's end.

No, its better in this way because if she would said “sometime december” would be another month in patrons mind, instead she said “this weekend or 1 december at latest” so she can release in december, take another payment and keep patrons calm because in their mind, 1 december its still november. Milker’s psychology at finest

If you look at the comments on Patreon, none of them really seem to be all that bothered. I would imagine that most people who are only after the update would wait until it actually releases before subscribing - if they are smart, that is. And it isn't like this site is exactly hard to find, so most would rather just come pirate it here.

Besides, since creators only update every few months, the majority of their income comes from the time in between. While her Patreon does get a slight boost during the months that she announces a release, it is relatively small (well less than 20% of her total). It makes much more economic sense for her to be honest and build goodwill rather than purposefully pull the wool over everyone's eyes for little gain.

Not like anyone will ever know for sure, though. Just my 2 cents.

The ones left paying are literally all simp cows being taken advantage of and milked. I paid once just to support them and planned to continue to do so but after the whole I went to a wedding and birthday or w.e so I didn't do shit for the whole month thing I used my brain and stopped enabling that shit behavior.

It's your choice how to spend your time and money. Not sure why anyone should hold that against her, though. I would consider myself a hardworking person, but I know if I had the freedom to work on my own terms I'd take more time off to enjoy myself. Even for 9 to 5 workers, it isn't unusual to take vacation days to attend a wedding.

It'd be one thing if it was an excuse to break a promise or miss a deadline, but it just sounds like an average personal life to me. It'd be easy to just say nothing at all, like most devs.

It’s pretty ironic to claim that every patreon is a simp cow, while at the same time being so incredibly fragile yourself that you—three months later—still haven’t managed to come to terms with the simple fact that the developer went to a wedding. Seems exhausting. But I guess it might somehow be related to the inability to tell the difference between a few days and a month

I'm a hard working person too, you know what I do after I take my vacation? My 9 day or w.e vacation? I get back to work. Not take the rest of the month off and get paid for not doing shit.

I don't get the luxury of taking a 6 month vacation and getting paid to work for what amounts to 1 chapter for half a fucking year.

Ok. To distract from the white noise of "lasy milking dev milkr" as we await the update, I've confirmed a little noticed but not so hidden truth that'll make some cringe, some cheer, and most say "why the fuck did you post this?"

But based on general female preference: *Drumroll*

Again I have to semi-white knight for Eva, even though I don't want to:

Patreon IS NOT a store where you buy a product. It's a support platform. You are supporting A PERSON / ENTITY hoping for results. When you do that, you agree for "the best" - getting content, but also for "the worst" - breaks, development problems, dogs eating creators's homework etc.

If you don't like that, there are two options - first one is clearly - not supporting in the first place. Second one is supporting only during months where content IS released, therefore kinda turning Patreon into that "store" where you can buy stuff that is already produced.

Recognizing that Eva's output has lowered drastically is one thing, but moaning about it constantly is another. Only someone with limited brain capacity can say she's "milking" anything. She has more and more developement issues the longer she works on the game, because complexity of it is going up, and that's why it takes longer and longer to release next update. It doesn't look like her passion or quality of work has dropped, quite the opposite actually.

If she was releasing more often, she would probably get more and more patreons, which would result in more money. How is releasing less and dropping patreon numbers/money considered "milking"? That makes no sense. I know that porn addicts here, myself included, want to masturbate to them Emma's cheeks getting clapped asap, but please calm the fuck down lol.

The development issues and complexity caused by herself, when i said that would be impossible to maintain a good pace or finish this game before 5-10 years, her defenders were saying ''sHe'Ll fInD a wAy!1!1'' guess who's right after 1 year without updates

even if it is, what exactly is the problem?

I will continue to support this game because that's exactly how I like it.

Will it take forever to finish? Yes probably, but I don't care if the quality of the game doesn't suffer.

Most games I support and like have a very long development time , see Summer's Gone, Jessica O'Neil's Hard News, Intertwined or Unleashed.

Yes that annoys me too, but for me it's the result that counts.
If I like the story and it appeals to me visually, I'll just have to wait.

I'm much more annoyed about expensive store-bought games for my Xbox X, which are then partly so buggy that they are hardly playable. :D
