Could not agree more with literally everything you said. I guess time will show whether Eva sticks true to her vision as the creator of this series, or if she caves to the skewed opinions of her Patreon who know nothing about what's to come for the characters and plot of the story. Way too many games on Patreon go this way, and it sucks.

I'm hoping that Eva does these polls more as a curiosity to gauge how people are feeling and to keep them engaged, rather then something to dictate the game focus going forward.

But I get the impression Eva is a creator with pretty clear focus and vision, and knows where to draw the line on 'Patreon participation' in the project.

Thanks for that I'm glad I'm not the only one with this Opinion! But I do believe Eva is a very good Writer and I trust her completely with this Story so I hope she can fullfill her Story like she wants to.

Patrons don't own the right to influence the direction of the game just because they donate - they only own the right to what the artist offers in that tier, and the whole idea is to support the artist so they can continue to make content at all. It's just that a couple of devs who use Patreon and don't have a strong direction, or are easily swayed, or care more about the money then any particular vision they have, will let the Patrons direct them. Most of those types of games end up either never getting finished - using the Patrons as little more then bottomless cash cows - or result in a game that's of relatively low quality cos it pulls in a million different directions without focusing on the story's structure, and on forwarding and bolstering the central plot.

Personally I think Jeremy - as he is right now, and from my current experience playing - is little more then a bland stereotype, and no amount of BBC makes up for that. Not that Jeremy is beyond saving, but until he actually gets a personality and makes me care about him in some significant way, I'd prefer Ian a million times over.

But that's just my opinion on it.

It's really not one of the best scenes in the game and feels rushed with a lack of options and ending fast compared to others tbh I hope it gets completely overhauled like what happened to emma's second scene, hopefully eva collects written feedback and realises the majority of the votes are just people liking bbc and not actually thinking its a well made scene which is what the poll was actually after. Yes but to be fair the IanxHolly Scene was kind of just the aftermath of the really great Scene in the End of Chapter 7 whereas the LenaxHolly Scene was a complete and full sex scene which was heavily expected and definitely one of the Highlights of Chapter 8.

In regards to all the talk surrounding the poll results and Patreon, people need to understand that just because the Lena/Jeremy scene is winning doesn't mean that Eva is going to suddenly change the way she is writing the game and making scenes. She hasn't shown any indication of altering her plans based on these polls in the past, so I don't expect it to happen now. If anything, she likely just uses these polls as barometers to see how people are responding to the various paths so she knows if people are liking the direction she is taking the scenes in for each path. After all, Robert regularly gets shit on in these polls but she is still pushing through making content for him even though few people like him.

It really just seems like this all stems from people hating Jeremy, so they are getting up in arms because there are people who do like him (or more likely his dick lol). I do agree that it would be nice with more control, especially because I like that scene in particular.

I don't think this should be a universal rule that applies to all scenarios though, and I am ok with Lena/Holly not being one too, for me it comes down to tone and scene composition.

If you read the text there it's clear that its not supposed to be a popularity contest, its all about worrying that scenes are too similar or boring and garnering feedback to prevent this. Just to make it clear - I don't hate Jeremy, I just don't care about him whatsoever, and that's something that I wish would change.

If we get more Jeremy content as a result of the poll, then so be it, but I hope Eva can at least establish the guy's personality a little more, so I can decide to feel some sort of way about him beyond 'could literally be any black guy'.
