Out of ORS cast i'd say Robert and/or Mark are positioned as "average guy", with shortcomings balancing out the few advantages they have.

I'd include Perry into their ranks. I'd say, he's the definition of average. He isn't as pathetic as Stan, is moderately attractive in a hipster way, and has some attractive qualities despite his shortcomings. Mark and Robert are slightly above average looks-wise, even if they're typical assholes. If one had to choose between Perry and Robert for a stable relationship, I'd wager Perry would get lucky over Robert (in fact, he's getting there with Cherry). If it was a one-night-stand competition, then Robert would always win of course.

he is intelligent , can fight ,worksout ,is witty ,loved music, good in bed and is decent looking and is above average or avrg in height (since the dev is spanish the avrg height there is 5.8 so ian is an inch taller than avg)

Decent is a synonym for average. Spanish average is... not defined, Wiki has a range of 173-177 cm, so he is average with 175 cm. Even if he would be +1 cm technically above average, practically you wouldn't notice.
I give you intelligence and wit, though he can still write a shitty book and lose his job and he can still flirt aweful and not contributing anything worthwhile (not saying anything, saying the wrong hins to turn off his friends etc.)


I estimate you two consider Lena and Ian above average people that got wrecked by their breakups. I point out that this is on point with Lena, she is a 10 who is dealt an extremely bad hand: Her parents can't support her, she has to end her career, she isn't payed much, Ivy is a questionable influence, Louise is instabil, Stan is a creep, she has no support and almost all love interests want to take advantage of her.
Ian is a 5, but he is extremely privileged: His father pays him, Perry sticks up to him and wants little rent, Jeremy and Wade are bros, the girls care for him and most of them are relatively harmless if he pursues a relationship with them.

That's the basis the two characters offer for different playstyles. Lena is meant to be a 10 that has to struggle while Ian is meant to be a 5 that has chances to become everything between 10 and 0.

Average person doesn't work out at all, FYI. Most people are too fucked by their jobs or schools to have any energy left for workouts. An average Ian would instead dedicate his entire free time to writing, jerking off, gaming, and occasionally socializing in bars. An average person would drop the gym after a month or two even if they had free time. I don't know why you think so highly of average men (or downplay personal achievements and hard work).

Even a loser stoner Ian is at least a 3. At his worst, he's better than Stan who is probably a 2 (because he's not too ugly or covered in acne). 0 means totally unfuckable = smells bad, covered in zits, socially inept, dumb, bitter, no hobbies, etc. Not just one of those qualities, but all of them.

Of course they do, its required for a healthy livestyle. This habit is endagered nowadays due to work focussing more and more on desks jobs and the better infrastructure to avoid walking, running and cycling.
As I said, Ian is above average compared to these trends nowadays. I used to ride to school with my bycycle every day and swam once a week. I wasn't buff in any way and had no muscles, but I was like Ian, lean, slim, average, a 4 or 5 bodywise.

So Ian needs to be Stephen King with the appareance of Brad Pitt to be a 10 but Lena is a 10 because she is hot...

That's how the double standard goes. Ian needs to be successfull to get to the top, Lena could get away with that by marrying a rich man. She is still quite intelligent and can converse, hence Axel and Seymour appreciate her over someone like Ivy. Once she is rich and someone like Agnes at old age she'd made it.

True, the Loser path is currently not fleshed out enough and Ian needs possibilities to sink to new lows for the remaining chapters. The best way for the 0 is to let him be cucked (and him not being okay with it), lose his job, lose his friends etc.

I feel like Perry is a bit too socially incompetent to be purely average, but it's "very slightly below average" sort, and it wouldn't take him much at all to overcome this. In fact, you could probably argue that if he's convinced to start helping Lena in the cafe he's pretty much already at "average and moving up" by the time chapter 10 rolls around.

Check out average human weight and how it compares to healty one, and be surprised. That's what average is, not the rose glasses idea of "i was slim in my youth"

But still his success in the game is based on player input, ie the gameplay. He wasn't successful with literal models prior to the game starting. With all due respect to Gillian, she isn't exactly as physically attractive as people like Lena or Cindy.

Forgive me if this has been discussed at length, but has there been any hints at possible pregnancy course even if as just the endings? Couple of interesting scenarios I wouldn't mind seeing:

- Wade raises Ian's or Axel's (or some other white guy?) baby as his own with Cindy (Wade thinks it's his)
- Emma gets knocked up and both Jeremy and Ian have no idea who was the lucky fella
- Holly gets triplets from Ian on romantic loyal route (happy family ending)
- Lena gets pregnant, but gives baby (babies!?) for adoption
- Louise gets knocked up by Jeremy, they split up, Stan and Louise start to get along and he helps her raise the kid
- Gillian shows up with bunch of ginger rugrats and Ian steps in to help make a family

And well if you would like some darker themed ending or story part...
- Minerva gets pregnant and has a miscarriage somewhere down the line

I never called any of the girls bad-looking, but in the context of the story characters treat Cindy and Lena specifically as being the most attractive women. If Alison really had this big crush throughout their entire friendship, just like Holly, and like how Minerva had a thing for Ian, doesnt that speak to how socially lacking Ian can be without player input? That he had three attractive woman crushing on him but did not manage to sleep with one of them and instead got cheated on by Gillian and proceeded to spend the following months wallowing in self pity.
