So her core audience likes Stan and Eva talks like she's going to please them. Eva herself admitted that she didn't like this character. It feels like Eva is no longer developing the game according to her vision, but is trying to satisfy the crowd by making fan service. It is not good.
Eva said that fans asked her to "redesign Stan" to make him a more likeable and meaningful character and to give him a route.
Correct me if I’m wrong, because there’s literally hundreds of Patreon posts and I might’ve missed something, but I’m pretty sure Eva has never said anything about fans asking her to redesign Stan, and that being the reason for the rework?To think that Eva changed a whole character of her own story just to please some people really makes me sad and angry at the same time...

And I don't really know what to do with him in the narrative. When I created him, I thought it would be interesting to add this character trope into the game, since GGGB didn't have anyone like him, and I wanted to try to explore new character dynamics. But the truth is Stan ended up being just that: a trope of a character, and I felt all his interactions with Lena were shallow and didn't fit the rest of the game. And it's time to fix that.
