Stan is a largely underwhelming romance option for Lena. It is hard to be excited about him at all unless you like it from a corruption standpoint or it allows you to self insert into the role of a rather pathetic, awkward, creepy Average-Joe getting with a hot-chick. The art will definitely not be hot.
Such is Lena's life though- no great dudes; everyone is a compromise.
Either physically unattractive like (Stan, Ian, Robert) or just an absolute toss like (Axel, Jeremy, Robert, Mike, Seymore, ect ect.)
At least she has some good Les content in Holly to fall back on. Louise would be nice too- if Lena could get her head out of her ass and not just treat Louise like a fuck-toy she can casually discard after she is done with it. Fuck toy is fine- but you gotta take care of your fuck-toy - especially when they are as needy as Louise.

Really? The worst I've seen are people arguing the opposite. I certainly don't agree that Ian is small, average at worst imo.
Not that you're wrong about Lena having a tough pool of male options, but Robert and Ian aren't physically unattractive. They aren't herculean like Axel but they look perfectly fine, even if I find Robert's facial hair a turn-off personally.
If Eva ever considers another re-write I do hope that Louise will get another look to make her route with Lena less casual, or at least allow the option for it to be sweeter.

A romance route between Lena/Stan could be done very well. A play on the classic "beauty and the beast" relationship, where an attractive woman falls for a less-so attractive guy because he treats her well and is a nice person.
However, I highly doubt it'll be done. Seems that Stan will play the role of the harmless creeper, at least based on the previous versions.
If this game has any flaws, and this is pre-rewrite, it's that too many LI's have similar roles. Especially Lena. Most of her male LI's are photographers. And she doesn't seem to have a male romantic option, besides Ian. Unless I can't remember.

I suspect that is partially a design decision. If there were an attractive, interesting, and non-asshole male romance option for Lena her picking Ian wouldn't make any sense.
Since there isn't; Ian is her most compelling male romance option. Despite being an underdog in terms of size and attractiveness he can legitimately give her healthy romance, conversation, validation, and stability. You take away those advantages and he gets snubbed like he more realistically would in the real world.
Same deal with Stan- you really have to suspend disbelief to think someone like Lena would go for Stan in the real world unless they did it for economic stability- it happens; but it is the exception to the norm.

That's a common problem with female MC games here..somehow really attractive women fall constantly for ugly/fat/old dudes. It seems to be some fetish for people but for me its immersion breaking. This game at least has more variety so I don't mind stan

Pretty sure Ian is supposed to be the most average man possible. He is made to cover the broadest audience, or at least the majority of the player-base. He is white, straight, brown/black hair, average male height (5' 9" if I remember), average build and most basic features.

Maybe that's what makes him not appealing for some players. I mean he's half blank slate character half player's choices but even if you go Cindy route he's kind of vanilla? I don't know how to describe it exactly, Average Joe.
I know Perry is smaller but Axl, Jeremy, and many others look bigger than Ian. Ian is again the average dude or worse. He isn't anything special even dick wise so why are all these hot instathots losing their panties for him?

Dual protagonist game is good for every other dev except Eva... dont get me wrong, Eva really bring the branching story system to whole new level, you can play GGGB many times and still cant unlock some of its scene, thats enough to prove how complex the branching story system that Eva makes for her game... and dual protagonist game doesnt really work well with the developer like Eva
You cant find any other game that has more compex branching story system than her games... and with dual protagonist, i think she finally find her limit, the way she struggled with every updates shows how difficult to makes dual protagonist game with her standard of branching story system complexity... Its not that ORS has bad written story in it, it just she needs a lot more time to write ORS story than what she needs to write the GGGB story and the options that she has when it comes to makes the next chapter story became more and more less, because she needs to makes story that highlight the two protagonist at the same time...
I really hope that in the next game, she only choose one protagonist game, because its not worth it to burn out herself every months just to finish the games when she should be happy and relax when develop her games
