I think I said this before but my wishlist (that will never come true) to improve/save the production:
  • shorten the overall length of the game as planned (4-6 more updates at most)
  • kill of one of the MC's (drowning or shark attack would be a good option at the moment)
  • commit to a clear update cycle (if there is only one MC 2-3 months per update)
  • get rid of the prologue, alpha, beta, final, epiloge plus three versions each bullshit -> Alpha, Beta, Final
  • start over with what you learned from ORS and GGGB (and what people liked about both games: writing, characters)
    • keep in mind that this is a interactive sexual VN (sexual is key and should come first, otherwise people here and most likely on the patreon would care nearly as much)
    • for the next game embrace AI generated art (with human improvements) and simplify the variables
    • include more long term planning in terms of writing, the gardening approach is fine for individual scenes and dialogue but the overall picture of where things progress to should be laid out beforehand
While all of this is controversial and a lot of people (including here) won't like it. Imho a dip in quality is worth the improvement in quantity. EK is still way ahead in terms of quality (writing and art) the problem with ORS as well as GGGB at the end is that they got overwhelmed with everything they had to juggle: variables, art, customization in GGGB (tattoos), writing, tying together all open threats. While my suggestions are not a be all and end all solution they might free up some stuff.

Could even happen if it ends up being 16 chapters instead of 20.

kill of one of the MC's
Waaay too late. There is too much established and too much planned for to drop either of them. The game would be unrecognizable.
Closest would be to make some NPCs disappear if they are not routes yet, rather than including them in every chapter. If Louise isn't dating Lena (and Ian isn't responding in the current chapter), she could decide to not return, because there is no purpose. Stan could leave if he is ignored or even kill himself.
commit to a clear update cycle
Pfft, why when you get more and over a longer time money with less updates?
get rid of the prologue, alpha, beta, final, epiloge
Its either 5 mini updates a year or one big update in one year. Doesn't matter if its split in 5 parts or in one, timewise. The difference is that Eva gets a bit more feedback and can change an update easier if its splitted, so they decided to split it.

For the next game sure. But we are still 2/3 in the current game and you can barely change it now. Unless you favor a overwhaul. The chapter 9 redo was criticized enough. Repeating that regularly would bode ill for the production.

I don't think it is too late for that, it would just piss off a lot of people. For example if you killed Ian, the Alison fans would be mad, the Cindy fans might still be salvageable since you could open up a (model) rivalry between Cindy and Lena.

Well that opens up the whole "milking" debate. But getting a more consistent output might encourage patrons to return (like myself) or even motivate new one's. But I agree currently there is no incentive to change anything because the majority of her cucked patreons will support and shower her with praise no matter what.

Well we would have to do another calculation if the last couple of updates are in line with previous ones in terms of quality and quantity. I tried doing that but it is arguable if that kind of calculation is even feasable since it it highly subjective (for me new art is the marker, for other lines of code).

Again this is subjective as this entire discussion, for me the redo didn't do enough to right the ship but rather introduce new hurdles and include some pointless stuff. But as we seem to be running out of conversation imho something needs to give.

If you kill one of them, you kill half of the cast with them. Remove Ian, you remove Emma, Perry, Wade and Cindy (the model rivalry is underdeveloped and a sidething), Alison, Cherry, Minerva, Jessica. If you remove Lena, you remove Axel, Seymour, Stan, Louise, Mike, Ivy, Ed and Molly. You remove either Ians book and tpurnament career with all its characters, events and gameplay, or Lena's music and modeling career. The game would end as an unrecognizable ampituted multilated monstrosity beyond recognition.

A small reminder that the most recent update was (just) two months ago, and the next one probably isn't that far off. I understand the desire to want everything finished and shipped yesterday, but realistically this isn't the field of entertainment you're going to get that.

I remember Eva wanted to start selling ORS on Steam, does anyone know if she gave up on this idea? If so, why? Or maybe she will return to this in the future?

I have a question. There is some cuckqueen route? or plans to incorporate it?

I make a run where:

- Lena and Ian are a couple.
- Lena has no sex (except with her toys and the ocasional oral sex with Ian, no cheating). No Seymour.
- Ian, a chad, have fuck Cherry in chapter 2; Alison in chapters 3 and 11; Emma in chapters 5 and 8; Minerva in chapters 6 and 7; and Cindy in chapters 7, 9, 10, 11 and 12 (cheating). He had also flirt with Ivy and Louis.
- He makes peace with himself about Gillian.

Even with all these decisions, it looks like Ian is the cuck, even it is the only one having sex.

No.

Closest you get is Ivy and Lena mocking Louise, but there is no indication that it goes in that direction.
I suppose the "experimenting" route could eventually come to this point, with Lena bringing girls for Ian to fuck together with her, and maybe eventually on his own, if he dominates her enough.

... Or Lena will become Axel's Ivy's cuckquean, bringing her Holly, Ian, and who knows whom else.

The starting scene of that arc was fucking Louise and there was no indication of cuckqueen at all. Lena was totally in control.

There was more tension going on in the hogging Jeremy scene with Louise even looking dejected.

Adding how all scenes until now (including GGGB) go, there is no indication for cuckquean, its a fetish not on Evas radar.

If there ever comes a point(Ik never gonna happen) where one of the MC has to be dropped in ORS, it's always going to Ian. Most of her patreon base prefer Lena over him, plus I don't think Eva's going to deviate from writing Female protagonists anytime soon.

The popularity polls are misleading, because Ian fans don't like Ian for him himself, but his content (Cindy, Alison, Holly, Emma, Minerva).
By contrast, Lenas partners are largely trash and you mostly ignore them and focus on Lena getting railed.
Though you are right overall, Lena and Ashley, Holly and Eva, Ivy and Jessica are the stand-ins for Evas perception of how women go about sex, men and relationships.
