This may be unpopular but I don't like all the GGGB characters showing up in ORS. Jessica was fine, more so in her bad version, because we get to see how the lifestyle ruined her. But then Nat shows up for no reason, and then... well, it's too much.

Also Gillian should have appeared earlier in the story, she should have always been present like Axel for Lena. Mostly because the character model is so attractive that it's a waste not to have a bunch of sex scenes with it. :p

It's more that she's begging you to cum in her during sex, then immediately has a panic attack after you do, because she's not on the pill and hates the morning after pill. So the scenario I was envisioning was an accidental pregnancy from how irresponsible Alison and Ian get in the heat of the moment.

Agreed... Axel makes some sort of sense as he turns up and not only fucks like a shire-horse but also acts as a gatekeeper to the modelling profession so you can *see* why Lena would feel tempted to go back to old patterns. It's not just the sex, it's also the money and the security etc

Gillian exerts much less of a psychological pull. Ian literally starts browsing her images in between hook-ups with beautiful women and there's not very much about her so you, as a player, don't really see the strings that bind Ian to her. She's easy to move past whereas Axel is not.

I'm just not sure what purpose Gillian is serving at this point... I assume there were plans to involve her more as a kind of parallel to Axel but Eva moved away from them or couldn't find a way to make them work.

Horny brain often likes risk taking, and really likes baby making risks. It's the one outside purpose all living things are programmed with, make copies. Humans have managed to take a lot of that control back, to not let that rule them, but evolution created a back door for lust to hack through. I kind of hope Alison comes to terms with both sides of herself, gets an IUD (or something) and leans really hard into the breeding kink. Safe, and sexy!

Is there any real content for Gillian other than when they bump into each other? I never followed her back, or kept her photos around, that I can recall.

Gillian to Ian is effectively what Lena is to Axel -- she's "the girl who got away" (although unlike Lena/Axel probably not due to Ian's fault). So the player gets the choice to either move on, or keep obsessing over her and wanting her back in his life, even if that's seemingly not what Gillian wants.

I wonder if Gillian will somehow be tied up with the book contest? A professional and romantic complication, perhaps also a gatekeeper. George Lucas would like it, it rhymes.../s

I wonder if instead of another cheating story would it have been better from a story perspective if the reason for Gil leaving could be because she got cold feet right before their wedding. It would add extra weight to why her leaving hurt Ian so much, his hang-up over moving on and help make it more palatable for the two to get back together.

Not really. Some people need therepy and their whole damn world ends because a gf left or a bf cheated. It's perfectly realistic as it is lol.

The whole "Gillian left me, I can't get over it" storyline would hit a lot harder if she left him for one of his friends, and both of them were present in the story. You could make Gillian appear in every chapter almost like a spectre haunting Ian, and the male friend could be present in the story as a rival (instead of Robert, lol), maybe culminating by being the final opponent in the MMA tournament, or the book competition, or both.

Feels more high-school than mid 20s type of drama, imo. A few more crossings of paths could have helped though.

Ian is an intern supported by his parents and is writing some silly fantasy book. Perry and Wade spend their days playing video games and refusing to grow up. Emma is still going through her rebellious phase. Cindy seems like an ice queen bitch straight from a high school drama. Despite all the "look how we've aged" talk during their get togethers in the Fortress, it seems like they barely aged mentally at all. Only Alison seems like an adult.

Ian may be on the cusp of being a brand new hot author, Holly is a published author (an extremely competitive career, and making it professionally as any kind of artist is a huge accomplishment). Perry and Wade are definitely rudderless, but I wouldn't dismiss Emma as being in any kind of 'phase.' She seems like a true believer, an active and beneficial part of the community (with a great ass). Alison is more career oriented and type A, but I don't think she's actually more fully herself than the others, seeing how her personal life is so poorly developed. By those types of measurements, Ivy, Axel, and Jeremy are closest to their 'final' forms.

Wade also had a job until some months (year?) ago, so it's not like he's spent all his time since high school doing nothing. It's only after he lost it that things apparently dissolved, both in his relationship and otherwise. He's probably taken better care of his appearance/fitness too, otherwise Ian wouldn't be so surprised seeing his current form at the beach.

Ivy and Jeremy will crash and burn like Bad Jess eventually.

Wade is the most insane character in the game actually, how can you have a girlfriend as smoking hot as Cindy and be such a lazy bum is beyond me. I'd understand if he had clinical depression of something, but he seems just fine when hanging out with Perry.

People have speculated that he might actually be depressed. In fact, i'm not sure but i think Ian can suggest as much to Cindy with high enough Wits? Although maybe i'm remembering it wrong.

As for the insanity of being a lazy bum with hot girlfriend... lot of people stop or at least reduce making effort once they "secure" a partner in relationship. How hot that partner is can make little to no difference. It's the people who don't have smoking hot girlfriends that think they'd never ever start taking things for granted if they had one. :sneaky:
