Im sure some people will disagree with this but for me this is the negative part of playing this game now,EK is always changing things,adding new dialogue,new music,new texts with images,etc...makes you feel like you are missing out if you are not starting new saves all the time.
I wouldn't expect anybody to start fresh as often as I do, I don't actually make saves at decisions, instead I start fresh every time. But I do think it's worth it to at least start a fresh play-through every couple of chapters at least to see all of these types of changes that EK does put in throughout. It does show the amount of effort being put into the game, and that even if it might not be readily apparent if, for example, you only played the Seymour update last time; that a lot has changed in the earlier chapters, even if the Seymour update is pretty regarded on this site as very short and disappointing.Im sure some people will disagree with this but for me this is the negative part of playing this game now,EK is always changing things,adding new dialogue,new music,new texts with images,etc...makes you feel like you are missing out if you are not starting new saves all the time.

Ian and Lena definitely together, considering how much the narrative pushes them. Holly as the connecting inofficial third main character is likely best served to be together with them as well, her other options are lacking.
Some people would say having Ian and/or Lena suffer horrible fates is the canon path.

In general it's not normal. But similar stuff can and does happen. A guy I knew did something similar to a less extreme degree and when it came out his immediate circle ostracized him.

For me the Lena/Holly and Ian/Allison romances are my canon saves.
Well I don't see any as canon, but in my mind the ultimate playthrough would be the pure trinity run. It results in the two protagonists and Holly, the unofficial third protagonist all being happy with each other. In other playthroughs where Holly doesn't date a protagonist, she either ends up living an unfulfilling lifestyle as Slut Holly or she is rejected plain Jane with no progress.
