So I am confused. In my pure Ian/lena play through I distrusted Billy and was not going to model for him but Lena still seemed to be going with Ivy. Am I just forgetting something where Lena decided she was going to Billy’s no matter what?

I throught the same,in some saves it makes no sense that Lena is going and this is a forced event.
Like if you are all in with Seymour why would Lena go?
She doenst need the money and she has a contract with the old man...

Can't recall, but maybe the distrust path is Lena going along to watch Ivy's back? Secondary holiday? Seems like a tent-pole event, so not optional.
I guess. It just seems odd. That was why I was wondering if I missed a scene where it explained why she “had to go.” I saw the whole Billy thing and was like this is some casting couch/ Andrew Tate (coercion/ force into adult content) bull shit no way I am falling for that shit and then boom Lena is going along with Ivy.

Lena does say that she can't go to the photoshoot with Ivy during her bartending gig. Ivy then tells Lena to let Seymour know that, she's going on a vacation with her friend.

It seems that Lena attends the event no matter what, but if she's distrustful (or has Seymour contract ongoing) then it's just a "vacation trip" for her, tagging along with Ivy for fun at Ivy's request. Instead of going to do any actual photo work.
EK probably didn't want to have another update where nothing happens for a large portion of the playerbase the way the Seymour update happened. It would have been pretty difficult to write a situation that got Lena to go with Seymour, especially if she had been adamentaly opposed to Seymour. Lena has overall been a lot less opposed to Billy on the other hand; just far more sceptical. Much easier to write in a throwaway line like "I can't believe you convinced me to go on this trip, but I'll use it as a vacation opportunity than a photoshoot"

I was surprised that EK chose to just skip over the rest of the vacation instead of doing an extended Lena POV of the beach house, especially since a lot of interesting developments happened that weren’t seen in Ian’s POV (i.e, Lena’s conversation with Wade)

Did an Ian/Holly run with a Posh Lena (fairly heavily into Seymour's pocket, doming Louise, playing with Ivy and Mark) and you can get the Holly Trinity, but you can also taint it by giving into Seymour in Rome. Can't mess around with anyone else though. And it's very clearly a planned path.
And Imho it's kind of annoying because it looks like Lena is more into Seymour than anyone else is into her.
It almost looks like EK does't want Ian and Lena to stay together.

I got the impression that they did, albeit off camera... I did an Ian Cuck run and Lena disappears off to talk to Wade at the beach house and then asked Ian if he'd be interested in a threesome with Wade.
Lena is into Seymour more than anyone if you choose for your Lena to be head over heels with Seymour. I have no idea why this would be annoying, when it's basically the game acknowledging your choices and shaping the narrative to match them.
I imagine that was at least in part a PTSD from dealing with all those potential paths that were coming to head there and squashing all the bugs that were popping up as the result. At this point EK has worked on the beach house sequence for literal months, i could definitely get/sympathize with the urge to move on and work on something different.
