Honestly Ivy's position makes sense. Lena says she wants nothing to do with him but then flips out when she sees him with another girl. This happens with Cherry at the birthday party and possibly Cindy as well. Ivy is saying that she needs to stop acting hung up and jealous regarding him to show that she's moved on and that will have Axel hopefully get closure. To Ivy she believes that since Lena wants nothing to do with Axel he shouldn't have so much affect on her emotions especially if it could appear that she isn't really over the relationship either.

And I doubt Ivy is so manipulative as you believe because not only did she not tell him where she work she also didn't tell him where she now lives. I also think there was a possible agreement between the two where she would tell Lena to talk to him once but since Ivy knew Lena wants nothing to do with him she agreed since she believed it'd go nowhere. Now she does believe life should be lived a certain way but she appears to still support Lena even when those views conflict. Keep in mind she tried to play nice with Louise for Lena even with their beef.

*sigh* I guess it means Agnes and/or Arthur combined with Axel will have to take over as handlers...or of course, Seymour might get in trouble when taking Lena to Dubai and scurry away to save his hide leaving Lena to face what comes next. I think the reason for the apparent fizzle is EK's general burn-out coupled with the urgency to "get something out".

One of the things I really don't like about chapter 11, is it takes away a lot of some of the more interesting speculations we as a player base had about the characters. Up until she mentions Axel didn't uphold their accord, we were all pretty much in agreement that while Ivy did it in her own unique, albeit at times misguided, way she does have Lena and Holly's best interests at heart. See also, her Perry interaction.

Same applies to Marcel; again I think a lot of people here acknowledged he would still be used for BBC, but his interactions with Holly made it seem like it wouldn't be the normal troupe.

Ivy, to me, is a more interesting character as a slutty, but kind hearted friend. Not as a scheming manipulative slut. That is a tired troupe. Marcel was more interesting as a friendly giant, and not as a background BBC fetish.

I mean this is also a small update, because it would be untenable to have a huge focus on Seymour when he is isolating Lena from all other potential interactions with the cast. There are multiple facets to why this particular update is short, and we honestly got a pretty reasonable development on multiple fronts of Lena's character here. Her thoughts on the throuple, possibly opening a gold digging route, actual sex with Seymour, an upgrade to her necklace, keeping the Emma / Seymour rivalry fresh in our minds, learning that if Lena stick with Seymour that her dream vacation is still on the table.

Chapter 13 status report (5)

During the past week I've focused on drawing, completing almost all the illustrations for the next update, which will feature Lena's POV, and I also finished a scene that will appear in the next update, featuring Ian's POV. I did this so I could send the artwork to the colorists (I've been trying out a new recruit) while I focus on the writing during the upcoming weeks. I'm writing this post from Japan, since I'll be visiting a relative during Right now I'm visiting a relative in Japan for a couple of weeks, and although I won’t be able to dedicate all my time to work, I hope to make progress and complete the next chapter by December.

So far I can't share much with you guys without spoiling things, but I hope the upcoming scenes will satisfy and maybe surprise you. Regarding the Seymour update, I will go over it in detail when I get back from the trip, polishing any inconsistencies that might still be present in the Beta, and release the Full version.
