On my most 'good guy' route, Ian didn't get the confirmation about winning the prize, but still had a positive talk with Seymour. I don't know if that means Seymour is going to sabotage his chances, or leave it up to the judges.
Did anyone fail to get promoted to editorial? I think in all my playthroughs I got 3/4 points and nabbed a private desk. It's a shame it pisses Victor off, especially since I promoted his friends sci-fi book.
No. Emma was not an option when buying a gift. Ian purchases the gift before leaving for the beach house, and Emma doesn't become a romance option until during the beach house event.
