Its meh. Less trashy version of ghetto femprotag game GGGB.
You have two main characters that meet each other, then end up banging a whole bunch of other people as well. It tries to be this kind of gritty dramatic thing but it just ends up feeling trashy. And there aren't even that many sex scenes.

As the dude you basically get to pick: whore redhead or whore tan woman. This choice affects a lot of the narrative. If you go for redhead=>you dont get cucked by a black guy. But if you go for tan woman, then the black dude will have his way with your childhood friend. So pick your poison, sex with a woman you dont want to have sex with to avoid getting cucked or sex with tan lady you do want to bang. Oh wait, the tan lady is hungup on her ex so she doesn't want to get serious with you. Kill me now.

Then you decide if the female MC and male MC hookup. If they dont hookup, the male MC is going to suffer as he wont get as many points as he should. But on the other hand if the MCs do hookup it becomes difficult for Eva to be a bi/lesbian.

If you care about the dude MC then you cant have female MC be a lesbo. Ofc logically this doesnt make much sense but thems the rules.

Also all LIs are sluts. every last one of them. Even the nerd redhead is a secret slut. None of the women are particularly likable. Everyone is either in a relationship or hungup on their exes. Wife material for sure. Female writing everyone!

But whatever everyones a slut and everybody dislikes each other and emma is a disgusting filthy feminist roastbeef harlot. It is a miserable existance. There are no fun times or parties of everyone having a good time, nope just shocking twists and turns and everyone is miserable. YEY!

Make no mistake this is a depraved Femprotag game even if you have two main characters, not some kind of interesting narrative where you truly control two people in the same world to their own ends. Nope. Depraved sluttery will ensue. The cake is a lie.

If you want total balls to the walls whore action GGGB or katies corruption etc. do it way better. Those are terrible as well ofc but I imagine women and cucks would love visual novels like that. It is like a dream come true for these people. Here you will only get a slight amount of debauchery.

TLDR; the game is fantastic but some of the (optional) content is not for everyone.

Unless you intend to play a vanilla romance route, this game is a real trip since you have to play as both Ian and Lena interchangeably and the story is written from their first person perspective.

Choosing to play Lena as a gorgeous unapologetic slut who fucks everything that moves without shame is a lot of fun but then by contrast playing Ian as a average guy who is getting cucked is not fun unless you're into that.

The story is well written and immersive which means that if you start fucking other people as either Ian or Lena or both, you as the player will eventually start feeling jealous because you chose to have sex with someone other than yourself which is a very bizarre experience.

So why 5/5 then? Because the game is a masterpiece and hating on it is unfair even if I can't appreciate some of the content.

The story is not bad but it seems to go in circles forever without evolving much and the releases are taking forever to come. The kinks are less straight and harder to find. Sorry but GGGB was way better game so far

This game has the best immersive gameplay, the story is interesting and doesn't make you feel bored, pacing is good, and your choice ACTUALLY influence the storyline.
What i can say i'm really hungry for more, can't wait for the next update !

Way to many characters, with too little original content shared between them. Two playable characters *female and male* who can date each other, and you are forced to play both (you can't skip female POV). Pretty much every single storyline connected to female love interests ends and revolves around the instagram/onlyfans/erotic influecing.

The only somewhat original storyline was from the male POV when you can try and date girlfriend of your old friend behind his back, while also pushing (or not) her into the onlyfans territory. It is good, but only a tiny chunk of all content.

This game is truly a labor of love, with nice vibrant visuals including UI, and character designs. Impelling and dynamic story with the way you split between both characters and the choices you make actually matter in the long run. Great game, keep it up!

I really enjoyed GGGB and expected to have a fun time with the author's follow-up game.

I did not finish the game. I got bored of it after a while and had no desire to continue (a very bad thing to happen in a story driven game).

There was nothing new for me here. Perhaps I've played too many adult visual novels but the story and writing feel overused and stuff I've seen dozens of times. The game never pulled me in like I expected it to.

The art has improved but literally everything else is worse than GGGB. In terms of story and lewd content it's a big step down from GGGB in my opinion.

I also disliked having two protagonists. Reliving the same experiences through a different person wasn't a good move. It added nothing to the story and slowed down normal story progression.

The game just wasn't my cup of tea. I was expecting to have an awesome experience and perhaps all the hype and perfect ratings got my expectations too high. I am disappointed in this game overall.

I have been following the work of Eva Kiss for more than a year and he says that her script and the ability to generate sensuality are captivating. The characters are very different and each one has their way of generating interest. I wish for Chapter 10 to come!

This game is wonderful. I especially love game mechanics such as relationship system, personal interactive phone, character leveling and the ability to play from another person. Moreover, this project can boast of large number of different characters.

very well written, compelling characters and gorgeous artwork. probs the best adult game available. being able to play as both sides of the relationship and exploring the different affects the MCs have on eachother and their friends, gives this game a uniqe edge that compintes the fact that it has really great sex scenes

My review is of the version prior to the remaster. I'll check out the updated content on my next playthrough, likely whenever the next proper update drops.

Our Red String is an ambitious follow up to Eva's previous work, containing the same strong character work and much stronger hand-drawn art, but with a somewhat slower pace with more time devoted to the story between the sex scenes, attempting to follow two separate protagonists with their own stories and supporting casts as their lives intertwine. The sex scenes are hot, the women offered appeal to a range of tastes, and I really was invested in what was happening (though slightly moreso on the Lena side of things, I have to admit).

My only gripes is that I don't find any of the men in Lena's story appealing and the game feels like it really wants you to follow through with the Ian/Lena romance (it connects the two halves of the story afterall), so it took quite a while for the lesbian content to get rolling.

I'm curious how Eva will balance all the potential choices and routes of the two stories and how they connect as more chapters release, but I trust the quality will be high however she manages it.

GGGB is a tough act to follow and in many ways this second game doesn't meet my hopes and expectations.

The artwork and GUI is definitely a success in my book. I really like the relationship and stat build system. It very much has a 'game play' feel to it.
In terms of story and lewd content however, it's a big step down.

The duo protagonist approach seems interesting, but the execution of it feels a bit unbalanced to me:
The male part has lots of good LI's and different situations crossing his path in a dramatic 'slice of life' kind of way.
The female part however has little of this, most of the LI's are creeps and douchebags. Not a single one of her LI's seemed interesting or likable or even unlikable in a good kind of way.
The rich antagonistic Nietzsche fan is such an obnoxious and irritating character that it almost made me want to quit the game. Where is Arthur from GGGB when you need him, or at least someone remotely as interesting? Idk, seems like the dev has lost her touch in creating good male LI's or characters.

Very few kinks are being properly explored in this game also, just lightly touched upon. The smut is and always will be the main reason people play porn games.

The revamp or remaster hasn't brought much to the table either, just more of the same done slightly different, slowing down development. For the life of me, I don't see why you would do this in the middle of telling a story.

I can't bring myself to give this game less than four stars however, because it looks so damn good and I will forever be grateful to the dev for gifting us GGGB.

This game is wonderful, I really enjoyed playing it, The concept, writing, art, characters, their relationships and how the story is progressing is very amusing and perfect. Eagerly waiting for the next update and would love to play the ending.

Wouldn't call this one a "porn game", not really. It's an adult visual novel. Yes, there are porn scenes, and depending on your choices you might even see a lot of them, but this story is mostly about the cast of characters, their lives and relationships. I guess it could be considered a bad thing, if you are looking for a quick dose of porn. Having two perspectives on the same story is a neat gimmick and it works well. Other than that, the artstyle is pleasant and consistent, the music is nice and the writing is amazing.

Having played Eva's previous game and absolutely loving it, I had to try this one. I admit that knowing it has multiple protagonists did put me off a bit, I prefer to play female only.

The art style is definitely a step up and looks lovely. Lena, the main female protagonist looks pretty hot from the start and is actually working as a nude model at a gallery as well as a cafe and restaurant waitress. She has a potential LI called Robert who is a co-worker at the restaurant and he tries hard to get with Lena. I found him to be an asshole and kept it professional.

I liked Lena getting intimate with her needy goth housemate Louise.
Lena can be the domme in that relationship and it can get pretty steamy between them.

Eva has setup this VN so that both protagonists can date each other, but I never tried that. I made Lena a lesbian and Ian - the other protag, go after his friends girlfriend Cindy just for the drama..

I found Ian's friends quite irritating to be honest. The lazy one who rents a room to Ian especially, all he does is whine. Even Wade is a bit of a dick to be honest.

The story has plenty of drama unfolding so far and the usual great choice of choices/consequences that Eva does so well. It has a lot of potential.

Overall I can totally recommend this for fans and people new to Eva's games. It's a very enjoyable slice of drama that could give Love Island a run for it's money

I've been following developer EvaKiss since her first Good Girl Gone Bad game. This game opened the world of indie porn novels for me. The concept of GGGB was refreshing - a girl in the role of MC, a non-linear plot and a morale system that changes with our choices. It was cool and fresh.
The second game, Our Red String, was a huge jump in quality. I would call it how to compare GTAIII and GTA IV. The game has become deeper, more thoughtful and more difficult. The graphics look like a real Next-gen compared to GGGB, the role-playing system has become more diverse.
The game tells the story of two main characters, the guy Ian and the girl Lena. Ian is an aspiring writer in his late 20s working for a crappy journalism outlet with a crappy boss. A bit of an introvert. Lena is a beautiful young girl after breaking up with an abusive boyfriend, a fashion model and a musician working as a waitress. Unlike Ashley at the beginning of the game, she is not as shy.

The player will decide their fate, decide whether to connect the two main characters or not. This is what the name of the game tells us. Playing as two main characters with separate story arcs opens up huge possibilities for a branching scenario. This increases the replay value, makes you ask the question “what will happen if I do this?” and click the "start a new game" button. The possibilities are huge. Several dozen characters, they feel like ordinary living people, and not a set of stereotypes. This makes the game world more saturated and lively. The plot is captivating, this is an adventure game about human destinies and the path to success. Eva uses the scripting mechanism to end the episode at the most interesting place, which makes you look forward to the next one.

There is a lot of sex in the game and kinks for every taste - as before in GGGB, depravity is gradually increasing with each new episode. You want vanilla, hardcore, BBC fetishes, a hint of NTR - it's all there. Optional, you decide. Knowing the perverted mind of Eva - it will be even more fun. The scenes are hot and beautifully drawn. I have already said that the game has top graphics, but it's even more pleasant that it's all handmade - the game has 2D drawing. Eva is a very talented artist.

The perk system has evolved and become more serious. The “good-bad” system was replaced by a perk leveling system that swings in dialogues, a certain level of skills opens key dialogues:
Wits - solves the problem in a scientific way and a reasonable approach
Charisma is everything. Oratory skills are always appreciated.
Athletics - the game has sports and fights
Lust is important for sex scenes, the higher it is, the more perverted and uninhibited your character is.
These four characteristics define your personality, there are even clothes for each type. Designed for the little things!
Another important skill is Will, which is very rare and hard to get. Don't waste. Also in the game there is a system of money, as in the previous one, it seems that it has not undergone any changes.

The result is a complex, thoughtful and deep game, just the way I like it. I cannot rate below 5 stars. Our Red String is in my top 3 favorite games, it's almost a AAA VN game. Why almost? Because there is only one AAA porn game. Good luck with the project EvaKiss and I hope it doesn't suffer the fate of many games that haven't been completed yet. The only drawbacks to the game are that it suffers because of its size: two MCs and a non-linear plot make it bigger and more difficult with each episode. Increasing development time and requiring a lot more creative complexity by piecing together a growing script. I hope everything ends well.

This has to be the best game of this genre I've played so far. Writing is the best part of it and all the characters are there for a reason. Having played its predecessor (Good Girl Gone Bad), I see ORS as an improvement over the classic title. This game definitely has replay value and I'm looking forward to the finished version. Only downsides I can think of is the lack of more in depth visual customisation of the MC, but this isn't a big deal with the rest of the VN considered.

You know how bad the writing is in games ? Not just in VNs or indie games, but also big successful games sometimes have awful writing. This game is an exception.
The writing and story are so good I didn't skip a line. The overall quality of the game is phenomenal.
I'd say one of a kind if the author didn't have another game of the same quality.

The author is a champion. No doubt that this is one of the best games ever seen! The graphics are also beautiful, sustainable. The story is full of sub -trams, well developed and the points technique, although not innovative is well made.
