So I’ve been glued to my screen playing Our Red String for the past few days and I’m not even kidding when I say this thing owns me now. Like I was just looking for something mid to kill time, but this VN went full god-tier outta nowhere.
The art? Clean as hell. Characters look , and the CGs actually feel like someone gave a damn. No reused trash backgrounds or lazy edits. It’s smooth, detailed, and everything just clicks visually.


But the STORY, bro. It’s messy in the best way possible. Characters make dumb choices, catch feelings, cheat, fight, spiral—just pure chaos. And it feels real. You pick something thinking “lol whatever” and suddenly boom—entire route blown up.
It’s adult but not cringe, which is rare. The scenes make sense, they hit emotionally, and it’s not just there for clicks. Also the music?? Weirdly good. Sets the mood perfectly when you're deep in some emotional mess.
Honestly this VN is cracked. If you like story-heavy games where your brain gets cooked from making one wrong choice, Our Red String is it.

This is by far one of the best written, developed and hottest games I've ever played.
The storylines branch far and wide for all the tastes and all the girls selections are beyond perfection, this game definetly shows how a game can be engaging and hot.
Also Holly is one of the best girls by far and her corruption storyline is well done as well as her romantic one with either of the MCs

I wanted to rate Our Red String for a long time but haven't had the chance. I am currently bored of all the other AVN slop that's out there but every time I comeback to this, it truly feels like a breath of fresh air. Similarly to its predecessor, it makes you feel like you have control and agency over the story. This is something that other VN's and devs fail to understand or capture. Why make me play something, to just click through and not have any agency and not feel a single ounce of investment nor emotion towards the story nor its characters. I would gladly choose a different medium if I wanted to experience a story that way. The character art and background are hand drawn which shows effort and investment into the game development. The characters visually look and feel like real people but also feel "fictional" at the same time...if that makes sense.

One of better games on here and pioneer in many was plus it is more about people exploring sex rather than turning it into a competition so plus in my book. And the game has a lot of content and lot's of choices which is always a good. It let's you tell your own narrative. And it makes for truly good game. It's some fresh air in the sea of the same old tropes and stuff. So best of luck to the dev with finishing the game and even more better projects in the future.

damn .... What a great 2dcg renpy VN. it's one of the best in the "grounded" genre.

I went the corruption route for both. man It's dark. not necessarily extreme, and it's really really hot and spicy yes, but also a bit depressing if you go that route.
the dialogues and description are great too. not too verbose, not too succint.
I don't know who eva kiss is but I'd wager it's a lass, because you can definitely dive into the character's psyche and personality. I felt those people were real. all of them . they're complex character each with their past, and none of them fall into the usual cliché.
It doesn't feel fake at all. the build up to full-on corruption ( which for the moment the only route I picked ) is done slowly but very very well.


the art is phenomenal too. Also If you play the previous game, there's a lot of tie ins and cameos. though you don't need to have played the former one ( which is also fkn great by the way, but not as good as that one) to enjoy that game.

Also there's a boatload of content. easily , EASILY 20+ hours if you read.
you can't help but get attached to the MCs and those are the best VNs.
I didn't care much for male MC at the beginning ( the game has both male and female MCs you see the story from both POVs) but his struggles definitely grew on me. I was annoyed at myself because he felt relatable and just ..... great.

I wanted to see the MC lass get railed asap but I surprised myself on pondering choices many times, because I wanted both characters to have a favourable outcome. The story ACTUALLY overshadowed my urge to see spicy content.
which is why I ended up a bit sad at the end of my play through ( I played it through many days an hour here and there and went full "bad choices" .
so it was like a book to me. a pretty bittersweet one at that.

I'll definitely replay it in a more positive route because I don't consider my choices canon. Those 2 should end up together. I want them to be.

The "group of friends" setting is fucking well done. I've never seen it done that well honestly.

whoever did that game is definitely used to writing deep characters with engaging story and spent a long ass time fleshing EVERY SINGLE one of them.

Our Red String is one of the best adult visual novels on the site in my opinion.

Oh, what a great game! For those who like corruption with progress, this is an excellent game in that sense. Both Ian and Lena have their separate stories, but the achievements affect each other. This makes you rethink each choice in the long run!

The characters are very well done, Alison and Louise for example. I'm not a big fan of Evy, but she is a character. The couple Wade and Cindy, the various possibilities, but no character has evolved as much as Holly... 10 out of 10 for the characters and the development of each one!

The story is great. The choices make a difference. The difficult life that the two protagonists lead connects with the problems in real life. It's really worth it. I'll recommend it to my friends rsrs

This is literally my favorite game. Amazing character development, meaningful choices, and no out of character cringy dialog. The story itself is compelling and explores emotional trauma just as much as sex. This is a fucking work of art. Thank you Eva!

Best. So many actually meaningful choices both big and small. An insane amount of branching paths and variations. Love the characters, love the dual protagonists, the stat system, the interactive sex scenes.

Before reading this review I recommend also reading the one by “WaterIsKing” of July 18, 2024, very clear and explanatory even if perhaps a little too hard.

I think “Our Red String” is definitely a game worth trying.
The best and most interesting part is the plot and finally the possibilities to progress within the game. I must say, however, that it is also very difficult to be able to discover all the scenes in the game, after a couple of games I still had many scenes with Lena and Alison that I had not been able to unlock and even though I returned to those chapters, I was unable to find how to get to those scenes. From this point of view I recommend installing a MOD that allows you to see what kind of results each answer will give, so that if you want to follow a certain path with a character, it is easier (but in any case even with this it will not be possible to find all the scenes).

The least interesting part, for me, was the "hard" part because it is a (very cute) 2D cartoon, and the scenes do not develop much, from this point of view there are definitely better games. I also agree with the writer that the game lacks depth and the game remains very superficial. The only character who seems to be better from this point of view is Alison who is busy with work during the week and would like to find a man to build a family (she is definitely my favorite character).

Another thing that I did not like is discovering that during my second game, there is no possibility of using the Skip, except for very few passages and this limits the replayability because in the end it becomes boring. In such a complex game it would be important to be able to use the skip much more to be able to see only the paths that have not been played previously. I played the second game because in the first I had followed the path with Lena, while I really like Alison and I also realized that I had completely lost the path with Minerva (absolutely recommended if you like MILFs). To my great regret, however, I basically had to redo all the dialogues without being able to use the Skip and this prevented me from replaying to look for the galleries that I had not unlocked because it is too boring this way.

Each of you will surely find the path with the girl you like the most, there are many girls and different from each other both in age and characteristics. I must say, however, that, playing on Lena's side, the possibilities are greatly restricted and the choice of men, outside of the protagonist, is very limited, with men who in most cases turn out to be slimy and mean (and I fear that the worst will turn out to be Seymour, something has already been understood between the lines).

Personally, I would have developed more (for those like me who are attracted to these things) the "cuckold" path both with Lena and Alison, with the protagonist aware of their encounters both with him and without him. Since there are many branches in this game, those who do not like this development but want a more romantic one, can avoid it.

I would like in the evolution of the game, to have the possibility of being able to decide whether or not to get our partner pregnant.

I still recommend trying this game, even just for the possibility of finding the various plots, but in this regard I recommend either installing a MOD that illustrates the effects of the various answers or following a very detailed guide (you can find many on the internet).

5 stars, is one of the best visual novels I have played, has good mini games and lets make decisions that will impact the individual development of the characters, as well as cross stories. . It is quite replayable and offers ways to get the scenes you need. GG

I went into this one thinking it would just be another other games , but it really caught me off guard - in a good way. Yeah, the sex scenes are seriously well done - they’re hot, detailed, and actually feel connected to the characters and story, not just thrown in for the sake of it.
But what really surprised me was how deep and emotional it got. Some scenes straight-up shocked me, and not just once. It touches on some pretty real stuff — relationships, choices, identity - and it does it in a way that feels raw and honest. There’s a ton of paths to take, and the choices feel meaningful, like the story could go anywhere. It gives off this feeling that the possibilities are endless, which kept me hooked.
It’s mature, it’s bold, and it’s definitely not afraid to explore darker or uncomfortable moments. If you’re looking for something more than just spicy scenes (though those are definitely great) this one’s worth diving into

I think Eva Kiss is one of the few authors who really makes the charm of a visual novel, lots of choices and routes that really make the novel a game and you can choose the route you want to experience.
Writing wise I think Eva is at a very good level, she has the ability to not let the plot fall apart, that alone is more than 90% of the game authors on this site. The drawing style is unique and I kinda like it. And there are good looking male and female protagonists, which as a bisexual I'm happy about.
My only big complaint is the dual protagonists, which is a matter of personal preference, but I think the dual protagonists hurt some of the immersion.
In any case, I'll be picking up a copy on steam to support the author after OSR comes out with early access. If Eva will make a new game after making this one, I very selfishly hope it's a single protagonist.

One of the best games on this platform in just about every aspect, from characters, non-linear story line, great writing, high quality art. Just about everything you could want from a visial novel .

This one is really, really good
has a lot of routes, the character are well developed, the story is compelling, and the art is pretty consistent and pleasing to the eye. Although i do feel that Lena's LI are not that great, I heartly recommend this one.

This game is honestly on the path towards perfection. You take what is good from Good Girl Gone Bad (GGGB) and you improve everything. The art, which was a main gripe in GGGB, has been highly refined with much finer details. The writing which was already highly verbose, takes it to another level in Our Red String. Add more characters and choices in the story for friendship and romance, and you have a serious contender for best game on the site. Additionally, you take control of not one but two characters! This gives the story twice as much variation, and becomes closer to a CYOA. This game respects the player's autonomy and have corresponding consequences. Watch as the two MCs' path converge or diverge based on what you choose.

one of the best experience playing this game with branching path depending on your decision. first playthrough should be your own choice based on your own morals and pov. 2nd and 3rd playthrough is to check what you may have missed depending on your first playthrough experienced. Overall it is a very new experience and showing both pov for both ian and lena gives a better output towards your mistakes or decisions. 5 star no doubt, definitely worth the time.
