I love the VNs that have gameplay, story and love some action and romance.

You know, I haven't played a whole lot of visual novels, but I'm pretty sure what defines the genre is that they basically have no gameplay besides navigating dialogue.

Well, anyways, my pick is the Black Souls series. First of all, the story is unique and there's not much else like it. The artstyle is usually seen as a weakpoint, as, well, you can take a look yourself, but it adds to memorability. The gameplay goes from "one of the best RPGM games" in the first to "the best RPGMaker game" in the second.

Unlike a lot of other dark fantasy games, the protagonist is usually the offender (assuming he takes the choice to do so). As Mary Sue says, "Rape, kill, cheat and betray".

Whichever game has the biggest asses, that's the best one! Joking aside, Eternum might be the best game I've ever played as well. I'd love to see that game with DAZ or Blender graphics. But if you're making an RPG game, it's not a suitable example for you. I don't think any visual novel would be a good example because quality RPG games are usually sandbox-style. I don't play these kinds of games much either, so I'm sorry that I can't give you a suggestion that would be helpful.

For sure Eternum has to be the best game I've played so far. The games that catch my attention are normally the ones with an amazing story and gameplay. I love the open world aspect of some games and the ability to actually makes choices. Animations and graphics are definitely a plus. I am just waiting for a AAA game to come out with all these options, haha!
