VN - Unity - Out of Touch! [v3.91.1] [Story Anon]

Really good. If I wasn't a broke neet I would give story anon money. Just the right amount of sensible drama. Humorous in the appropriate places. All the girls are cute and I'm looking forward to the lewd scenes in the future. And to be honest even if the lewds are bad I would keep reading if the plot maintains it's quality. Only gripe is that animations during the battle couldn't be skipped but it's minor.

I'm glad this is a poly game because I don't have the heart to turn down any of the girls. They are just too precious

One of the few games out here that immediately inspired my patreon-age. I was in a bad place and reading this story has helped to bring me out of that funk.

With a heartfelt story, fitting soundtrack, and a lovely cast, this game hits all the notes. Props to the creator for the gripping plot without resorting to cheap narrative devices for filler. I can't wait to see where you go next!

I really can not say much about this game, except that it is SERIOUSLY underrated, deserves WAY MORE praise and attention than it has gotten. The renders are absolutely beautiful, the characters are unique and the storytelling is just amazing.

It's an experience. A lot of story and not focusing on sex (initially), but it is doing everything right.

Aspiring authors and game creators, please take a look at this game and get an idea of what quality looks like. It belongs on my list of games I'd recommend without skipping a heartbeat if you are up for a very unique experience!

All i can say is that, this game is amazing for its comedy and romance. Like for real, the moment i saw the story, i got hooked on it and just wanted to play more. In fact, i could play this for like 10 times non-stop. The horror genre is the one big twist for me and im a scaredy cat for horror games. There is not much of a lewd scenes but i find it relieving since it gives me a good time.

Overall, this game is very nice for its story. Of course, there is a room for improvement but its very nice.

Liked the characters, story and humour. Only issue character wise is that there's a little too much freckles and glasses for my taste.

Really enjoyed the prologue. After that, not as much. Free roam and protag switching killed my immersion. Story was still good, but I found myself getting more and more bored as it went on and ended up turning it off during chapter 2.

I'll be keeping my eye on this one. It has the potential to be a great game.

Story Anon you are a god. I really wasnt sold on just the prologue but I'm so glad I kept playing. This game is amazing. The characters are lovable, everyone feels very human and I just know theyll all be fleshed out. The writing I honestly thought was cheesy at first but it didnt take long for me to understand your approach to this game. And I wanna say I really respect you having multiple character perspectives in this game, it really serves to bring out the characters feelings and thoughts. I can tell you're a veteran to this genre (you must have played, watched and read many games/anime/manga to put so much effort into this) and you know exactly what you want to do with your story and its characters. Also your taste in music is top notch for sure, definitely a nice change of pace from the royalty free music a lot of these sort of games have to use (not that theres anything wrong with that) I highly encourage anyone whos into story driven romantic comedies that arent afraid to touch on real life trauma with broken families and broken people to give this a shot. Even if the Ero scenes are a ways away, it's all worth it. This isnt some nukige for you to get a quick fap, theres investment here not only with story and drama but I'm sure with how ero scenes will play out as well. It's not for everybody, but you owe it to yourself to give it a shot. Lastly thank you again for bringing this to life. I've seen so many projects with potential get abandoned on this site, and I pray that will never happen here, because I truly want to see the end of this story. I will be supporting the patreon this year when I'm able to. 10/10 keep up the fantastic work!

At first, when i saw the thumbnails i thought the art style looked nice and the girls were super cute. i went in expecting a naughty sex filled experience with some hot girls. To be fair, i only really glanced at the tags and didnt read the description, but still gave it a go. The title Out of Touch and the colors did give me 80's vibes from the start.

So i loaded the game (visual novel) and began playing. it started off a bit slow and i have to admit i stopped playing and went to go do other things halfway through chapter 2 (or i guess it was chapter 1 because all the stuff when CJ and Vic were kids was a prologue or something). I came back to it later to see if there was more to it and im really glad i gave it another shot. because i binged the whole game after that because the story had me hooked.

So what are the pros and cons? on the plus side id have to say your story is a bit sow to get going but once you get the characters established and the whole backstory out of the way, you get what feels like a nostalgic mix of anime styles with humor drama and action rolled up into one. i was diggin the soundtrack too! dont know if the dev remixed some of those song themselves or were able to find ones already remixed that just fit the ambiance but i thought it was a nice addition to the whole experience. there were a few animations that i found to be pretty well done as well.

As for the negative, (as i mentioned before) i went in thinking there was going to be a lot of "hooking up" in this game/VN, however thats not necessarily the case. the silver lining is that the way the devs story is unfolding there is the possibility of "hooking up" later in the story. the next thing isnt really a negative but its not a positive either, that long slow buildup at the start of the story! i realize that the backstory has to be established and there is some important plot points in the intro that need to be understood to get the whole concept of the rest of the story, just in my personal opinion it was a bit slow going. next thing i want to touch on are the boobies (lol see what i did there? touch on the boobies?! hahaha *ahem* anyway... moving on...!) i noticed that a lot of times when there is a scene where boobies may have been exposed the camera angle will shift or there will be convenient things happen to cover the nudity. im guessing this was a trope/ nod to old anime that used to do the same thing as there are later scenes where the nudity isnt avoided and figured it was just a stylistic choice

I have one last thing to nitpick on for negative and thats about it. i wanted to touch on the lack of consequences or noticeable effects from the small amount of choices we are given.i didnt see any choices that effected story progression or the route of the story depending on our choices. there were sections where you had a large list of options to choose to ask a character and i would choose to ask them all instead of leave right away because if i didnt ask i would miss out on some portion of the story.

ok wel thats my opinion on Out of Touch! the positives make this VN stand out while the negatives i found were simple nit picky things that dont really detract from the feel of the overall story. to those looking at these reviews to determine whether they want to play this game or not, id say go for it! the story is pretty good and will leve you wanting more at the end. for those looking for fap material, you probably wont find what your looking for here, but if your like me the story and overall feel and ambiance of this VN will be enough.

This is my review of the visual novel Out of Touch by StoryAnon

It is 4:45 AM on the christmas day, the 25th 2020.

For the first time in 6 to 7 years, I have cried real emotional tears. I remember feeling like this when I was a kid.
When I used to cry more often. I used to cry about such small things, but that reminds me of how I actually felt things when I was younger.
My body is still shaking and shivering after playing the game in it's entirety. It started with a massive shiver througout my body.
Then, as tensed up as I was, there was a moment where I let everything go. And then tears started rolling down my face.
I don't think I have ever been so attached to characters before in my life. This is not a porn game. This is a proper novel.
If you are looking for a good read, go read this novel. You will not regret it. I am patiently waiting for the other 85 chapters to be released.

I don't know what just happened. I don't know why I'm here. But holy shit is this a story. This right here is a fucking STORY. I didn't know I needed this in my life but I'm gonna be agonizing over the remaining 85 chapters for the rest of my life.

Is this even Koikatu anymore? The last few chapters were insane. If nothing else the Koikatu engine has been pushed to its god damn limits making the scenes for this.

God damn man. This is one hell of a passion project.

Wow. It is hard for me to put into words how I feel about this work. As others have said, very little sexual content of any kind in this visual novel. The story is completely linear, and choices do not really matter, so it's more novel than game.

The characters are extremely well drawn and their stories make you fall in love with most of them (except the evil ones, of course). If the author decided to end the story with Chapter 15, it would feel very fulfilling and complete.

I just hope they do not, because I can't wait to see what happens next. I only have good to say about this story, I can't really find anything negative about it.

Edited Feb 11 after the introduction of Chapter 2. The game was reworked to make the front part of it better and more consistent overall. One new introduction that I am not thrilled with is the fact that the battle with Cro is now a non-escapable mini-game, and according to the dev, more of this intended down the line. I really do not like mini-games. Hopefully, they do not overwhelm what is still an outstanding VN with incredible writing and character development.

Warning: Not a porn game. I think sex occurred like two or three times, and it was less than you'd see on tv. I mean I saw a nipple once. lol.

Really this game should remove the very small amount of slightly lewd stuff and just sell on steam as a visual novel. It's a story for sure.

The art for this is the highest point. Pretty damn good art.
Except the Chad part. That was... horribly out of place.

There were a couple times some choices popped up. Absolutely don't matter at all, and otherwise it was straight linear story.

Almost 0/5, but hey. There were a few teases I guess.

So... There is story. I was held attentive until about the end of chapter 1.
Then I realized it was just a drama for the sake of drama. Not actual good story, in my opinion.
I held skip for like 3 solid minutes just skim reading and seeing if anything else noteworthy happened. Not really.

Overall: 3/5 as a VN
Enjoyment: 1/5

Not my thing. I recognize the art quality and sheer amount of story. Just not... interesting story. To me.
Give it a go if you like non-H rom com stuff.

I went into this game expecting a half assed story and some naked anime chicks, but what I got instead was one of the most engaging stories I've seen from any game on this website .

The characters are complex and you care about them, the mc is a good guy that you're rooting for, and the writing is impeccable. This game takes you on a rollercoaster of emotion, I laughed out loud on multiple occasions, I felt bad for characters on multiple occasions, and I also felt happy for characters on multiple occasions.

The soundtrack suits the game so well, and the art is fantastic.
Its not easy to have Skyfall in your anime game soundtrack and have it feel earned but Out of Touch has done it.

It feels weird to write a raving review for a game on f95 that I didn't fap too, but I feel like I'd be doing this community a disservice if I didn't.

If you're looking for a quick fap this ain't it chief,
But If you're looking for a great character driven story and a potential future fap, PLAY THIS GAME.

To be honest, due to the harem tag, I started playing this game with an "it's a porn game" mindset expecting lots of rendered sex scenes and me having a fap session. Currently (v0.9.1), there is no sex, all you get are some boobs. Am I dissapointed with that? Not in the slightest.

Right now, the game is 15 chapters of, in my opinion, pure perfection. I love the story and I really love the charaters. Charaters and their emotions are portrayed very well, the way story shifts from one person's POV to another's is also fairly smooth and easy to follow which is a major plus.

Most importantly though, I actually like the way MC is portrayed. Usually, games featuring a harem have a bland guy whose sole drive is wanting to have sex so the entire storyline is driven by, well, sex. Here, however, he actually cares about others and generally acts like an actual, decent person and it's a welcome change, I love it.

All in all, while I didn't get the porn I expected, I love every second I spent playing this game and I very much recommend it to anyone considering playing it.

Possibly the most deserving protagonist of the harem that I've seen so far (and I saw a lot hahaha). I love how the points of view vary, and they are not a mess to follow, something that is very complicated if you do it in the first person.
PS: I love how the protagonist can be a walking jojo, and it would fit perfectly into the jojo universe lol. I'd love to see him interact with Josuke haha.
ps2: Hopefully there is more than one ending, where you can choose to stay with just one girl, so we give all our love to just one of them.

A total of 15 chapters at the moment of this Review.
Awesome, instant 5 stars, the story keeps going crazy, but its addictive.
The main character is a lovely dork. And so are each one of the girls, very different between them but their characters are easy to understand. Even those a bit more complicated like Leah.
So far an excellent experience and i hope people give it a try.
Also, Dev, make a discord server for this game, first warning.

Fun game. The story is funny and gets pretty interesting in the later chapters (its interesting at the start too, but you will see). The music is well done and really does a lot to set the scene and the mood. The art style is interesting and really fits the overall theme of the game even though I am not used to these kind of visuals. I am looking forward to more chapters. Not much choices yet, except the latest chapter, which also explains a lot of the story up to that point. Same for lewd content but its all building up.

As for the tags, dont worry too much about female protagonist or multiple protagonists. The way the story is written, it follows the male MC from the eyes of both him and one of the main females in the harem. You are not going around dating men as her or anything. Personally I dont think the female protagonist tags fit the game and might make a lot of people skip it based on that misleading tag alone especially considering its listed first before male protagonist is.

Give it a shot, you will like it.
