    Review as of version 0.9556

Since this will be a longer review, the tl;dr is that Paccsu is a rare gem in the field of western eroge. It's an RPGmaker game that actually feels like a polished RPG, fun to play, tons of content, and is actually finished. It's almost as good as the likes of the SEQUEL series or Diary of a Lewd Vampire. It's a longer game but absolutely worth anyone's time.

GAMEPLAY: Paccsu's gameplay is definitely the game's strongest suit. It's a traditional turn based RPG in the style of many classic JRPGs, taking the most inspiration from Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. The pacing of the game is excellent as well, and from a simple start the more complex elements of the battle system begin to show. Starting with just the main character, Namu, and later adding two additional party members in Kiva and Purnima, the game is constantly giving the player meaningful choices in how to create character and party builds. While each character has archetypes they initially lean into, there is a lot of customization available through the diverse and unique loot that the player acquires throughout the game. Namu, for example, can be played as either a magic focused damage dealer or a tank, complete with AOE taunts and debuffs. Later in the game she can also become a powerful healer and buff her allies. Due to the carefully balanced action, item, and MP/TP economy, no one character can be good at everything, unless the player grinds them to absurd levels. While this is possible, Paccsu's pacing and difficulty curve is airtight, and there should be no need to grind unless the player habitually avoids fights. For those looking for a challenge however, avoiding fights is possible since encounters are visible in the dungeon as roaming monsters. The gameplay, level design, and battle system are not just good for an eroge, but could probably compete with some larger budget studio releases. As a long time JRPG fan I was very pleasantly surprised by Paccsu's gameplay.

STORY: The overarching plot of Paccsu is nothing unique or particularly interesting, and long time fans of the Dragon Quest series or JRPGs in general might even roll their eyes at the "Demon King plots to destroy the world", but the story is a perfectly serviceable framework for the game. There are a few interesting twists regarding Namu herself that I won't spoil, but longtime fans of the genre will probably see it coming. What saves it from being utterly generic and predictable are some of the excellent side stories. While these are also somewhat derivative, they keep things interesting and some of them are surprisingly well written and executed. A standout favorite has to be the haunted mansion side-quest, which is at times genuinely creepy and disturbing, but manages to keep the tone consistent with the rest of the game. While Namu and friends aren't particularly interesting characters, they all behave consistently and it's hard to dislike them by the end of the game.

H-SCENES: One thing that deserves heaps of praise right off the bat is how h-scenes are unlocked in Paccsu. As opposed to many other games where the player has to intentionally lose to unlock a game-over scene, Paccsu does something so simple and effective that I'm shocked this method isn't standard. During battle, certain enemies will perform attacks that initiate h-scenes. This then unlocks them for Namu's memory room. Attacks that have already been seen then have an option to be skipped. Battle continues normally after these scenes. It's really refreshing since the default system often forces players to play intentionally badly, and usually requires them to reload a save or at least restart the fight. With this system, that hassle is totally avoided. The are a few game over scenarios, but the vast majority of scenes are unlocked via this method.

However, the tl;dr said that this game was ALMOST as good as some other RPGmaker eroge greats, and this is the aspect it falls a little short in compared to those games. It's not that the game's h-scenes are low quality or downright bad, in fact many are pretty good, but they're not as good or as numerous as they should be. Obviously one should always want more of a good thing, but the number of scenes for a game as long as Paccsu just aren't what they should be. By the last stretch of the game there's not a lot new to see. Quality can also vary, and there are a few scenes that are entirely recycled from other scenes. One particularly egregious example is a scene where Namu grows a dick and is given a handjob by the enemy. By itself it's an alright scene, but this exact same scene is repeated in the same dungeon, with only a few lines of dialogue replaced. But it's counted as a separate scene. It comes off as a little lazy, especially since it's the only unique h-scene in that dungeon. Art assets are also recycled between scenes with varying levels of obviousness. While this is understandable, this also gives the game a somewhat cheap feel at times. For some people, this might seem like a dealbreaker, after all the point of an eroge is the porn right? Some people might ignore the gameplay entirely and just unlock everything in the memory room right off the bat. There's enough quality scenes in the game for it to be worthwhile, especially if you're in to the subject matter. This game is one of the only eroge in existence that caters exclusively to fans of shortstacks, and it does the fetish plenty of justice. Since this game is still in development, it's worth noting that many of the lower quality scenes appear earlier in the game, while scenes made later in development are very good and don't have a lot of the problems outlined above. This is the developer's first game, and he has stated he wants to add more to Paccsu even though the story is done, so hopefully the lesser quality scenes were unfortunate casualties of the learning process.

FINAL THOUGHTS: Paccsu is a really good game that edges on greatness. It's not a perfect game, but definitely closer to a 5/5 than a 4/5. The reason I wrote this long review is because this is the developer, Zem, clearly has a lot of potential. As far as I know, this is his first game, hopefully the first of many, and it already blows so many others in the same genre out of the water. Feedback is important to growth, and since he does post in this thread I hope he sees this review and takes both the praise and the criticism therein to heart. All the problems the game does have are fixable. It could go on to be one of the greats with just a little more effort in the h-scene department. If this game just got around ~15 or so good quality scenes with minimal recycled assets, sprinkled around the existing story, this game would be perfect, and you would earn a fan for life. Since this game is still in development, I really hope this happens.

This has been a amazing game, and i know this is at the end but i still can't wait to see what will be added to this, i highly recommend playing this game. And Namu is just cute as a button. But the story, sex scenes, and also everything in this game is amazing.

This game feels great to play for many different aspects, would definitely recomend to a friend. Also, if you're a butt/anal fan, this game is specially for you. Fantastic job from the dev, will surely play another game should you decide to keep creating more, once paccsu is over :D

    Amazing game!
Resuming, a lot of thick butts (my weakness) and large boobs, with a not retarded protagonist, just a bit unlucky in mid-battle that is where you find most of lewd scenes, and charismatic coadjuvants with their own caracteristics.
And for sure a true rpg with a LOT of equipament variety and skills for a lot of builds
The history is not a full of plots, betrayals and whatever, its still a porn game, but its interesting and not boring what makes you want to continue

Well this game was a nice surprise.

The first thing you'll notice is how good the artstyle is. Namu (mc) is gorgeous and downright adorable. It doesn't stop there though and the enemies and some characters also have very good art.

I know a lot of people hate RPG Maker games, but I like them and this game is one of the reasons why. Because you can make a good game with this engine if you know what you're doing and especially if you can make unique art and assets. Now while the game uses generic RPGM assets, the art is original and excelent.

As usual, you have an inventory system and the game utilizes it, allowing the player to manage recovery items, weapons and skills. Unlike some rpgmaker games that don't use these options, but leave them there, this game does and every section of the menu is actually important to some degree.

One thing that would be nice to see here, is the option to toggle Namu's character model, while not in battle. Now while you don't have different outfits and armor (which is fine, since her outfit is good enough :p), you could take advantage of status elements like poison and bleed, to change her model a bit. And just to give us a chance of seeing her as well, outside of battle, like some old rpgmaker game did, like VH, Adventures of Garnet, etc.

As far as the sexual content goes, version 0.23 has tons of it. Now most of the scenes are "rapey" in a way, which bothered me at first in the very first scene you might see in a pub. But since the game has a rape tag, I decided to give it a chance and move on.

I still wish Namu would enjoy more of those scenes, instead of being negative to it most of the time. I haven't finished this update yet, but so far I only saw one scene in which she actually wanted to have sex while she was drunk.

I think it's important for you to have a female character that can have some control during sex scenes, so it doesn't feel like she's being punished all of the time. She could at least have more orgasms to signify that it wasn't all that bad and she liked some of it. The game makes sure that we start caring about Namu, so it'd be nice to see her having fun as well.

With that said all of the scenes are incredibly hot and I love how the game has a lot of focus on anal, considering how gorgeous Namu's ass is.

If you don't like that type of fetish, you'll probably be disappointed, considering there aren't many scenes with vaginal sex yet. But I'd still give it a try.

Overall, I loved this game and had to stop and make this review. I want thank the dev for making it. This is definitely a game that deserves support and praise.

I spent 7 hours playing this game, it is great! I never thought I would like an rpg maker game but this one changed my mind. I 100 percent enjoyed the game and can not wait for further updates. I think i'm gonna donate to the patreon

Easily the most surprising game I've come across in months. Extremely fun rpg with a bunch of lewd scenes thrown in and excellent artwork. There are a few things that could be fleshed out and I'd definitely like more content with more characters but that will come with time. The gameplay is solid and not too challenging (or easy) and the framework can easily be expanded to include a bunch of lewd content.

DEFINITELY recommend. It's the first time I've actually enjoyed a RPGM game, so much so that it changed my opinion of the entire sub-genre.

I'm extremely excited to see where this project goes in the future.

Review of 0.09... Overall, I really liked this.

I didn't realize there was a gallery in the game and found it accidentally but I'm happy I did. I like the scenes for the most part, but I do wish there were a bit more movement of Namu in them. It seems like she's a stationary image in most of the scenes and only the aggressor moves, so there's no actual impact of what's impacting her. It makes the aggressive scenes not feel aggressive. (I realize this is still an unfinished game, so I'm just saying what I'd like to see.)

I like the orb and magic system. Spells are fun to use. Special abilities and the charge up system works well.

The flow of having enough health potions to overcome obstacles seems to work pretty nicely throughout the game, but I do have one critique about potions... In most situations there aren't any issues, but if you get stuck in a situation where you have negative status effects and low life by yourself (no party members) you can't heal because your potions are too weak to make the difference of both the enemy's next attack AND the status effect of poison, burning, or bleeding health you'll lose on top of it. You end up in an endless loop healing yourself and taking about the same damage as your potion. Perhaps consider increasing the standard and greater potions by about 70 healing or so to fix that? (Epics don't feel underpowered at all, but if you haven't encountered epics and don't have an elixir, you're pretty much screwed... no pun intended.)

I love the art style thus far, particularly the way softness is portrayed with hands sinking in.

The combat is actually pretty fun even without the lewd aspect, honestly. Seemed well paced and had a lot of variety in weapons. The visuals on some of the weapon attacks were pretty decent, too. Like, I found myself legitimately enjoying this game for the gameplay, which isn't all that common for games I'm playing for "reasons."

Hats off to the developer(s?). Gonna be keeping an eye on this one.

Pretty mediocre so far, at least as far as a non-dumpster fire of a RPG maker game goes. Much better than most other RPG maker games, but it is otherwise not very impressive with the most notable thing about the game being that the protagonist is a short stack which is a rather under-served market in the world of porn games. May one day develop into something truly good, or flounder and stagnate like so many other games.

Serving as a deterrent to the 2 votes already up
the playthrough is kinda smooth for an RPGM, not too grindy...
the cover image kinda drew me in cuz big tail fins are (y) shortstack too bless*
    i also don't really mind E X T R A T H I C C designs of the other creatures either
bu that's just about it for me

the in game animation and art is where things tend to fall apart for me
not a fan of the images that were looped, to say the least.
the cum looks... weird, if it was just plain white it'd look less abrasive
this bleeds out into the battle system, where you will encounter the scenes
i was in the zombie territory i fought a monster, that kept fucking me,
i'm talking about every single turn it wouldnt attack and it'd jump straight to sex
to my knowledge you can't skip it, so you're SOL
ultimately i just rq, never thought i'd lose it over a sex scene
 i tend to like what N7 posts, so i'll still watch over this like a hawk
its possible the art used in the first 2 parts are a bit dated as well

Well this game is my bread and butter one the content side so i'll review the quality.
The art is excellent, really well done and it feels like the developer put their heart into it.
The combat and the scenes were really interesting and got put together into a nice system i really liked.
The history is still on the beginning and has a bit of development ahead of it so there is good potential.
There might be little bit of grind associated with the adventure part but it wasn't boring, mostly as it came together with exploration. I liked the map designs overall.
It gets a high score. I'll give it an 5/5. Even if it is still in development i have high hopes for it.

The battle system is good, and the art is fantastic. The subject being monster girls is a bit niche, and may turn some people off, and there's not much content, both story or porn-wise, but this is a very solid start to a very promising-looking game.
