VN - Ren'Py - Pale Carnations [Ch.4 Up.5] [Mutt & Jeff]

One of the best games on the site. The story is very interesting and engaging and to top it off, it has beautiful renders of the girls. Something that I like is how the developers are exploring the back stories/motivation of why each girl is competing in the carnations exhibition, making it challenging to choose who to root for. I also appreciate how the choices you make in the game have some weight/consequences and how the MC questions himself on whether he is doing what he is doing out of necessity for his tuition or because he enjoys dominating/humiliating the girls. I can't wait to see how the story will be developed.

Beautiful women, feisty kinks, hot scenes, with the moral dilemmas throughout; From MC's mother backdrop to the various carnations he's employed to care for but also exploit, a contradiction with lots of dramatic trickiness. The breakdowns of the women that remind the MC of his own mother's survival path. The moments of intimacy with the various women contrasted with his chosen employ. The wrestling of one's own thrill with the fragile lives of those in the web he's a mere assistant to.

Chapter 3 Update 4 (Public)

Fantastic AVN. Anyone who's looking for layered characters whose whole world does't revolve around MC's cock should try this out. The work put into renders, animations, and writing is praiseworthy. All character models look very good too, my favorite models being Hana, Harper, and Veronica.

Sexual Content: there's a lot as you'd assume from a game set around a brothel- err a gentleman's club- but they're not just there for a quick fap, lot of these also give more insight into the character performing those acts which I really like about this game. It uses sex scenes as a backdrop to reveal the aforementioned layers to characters, including MC. There's a lot of bdsm and a female character can perform sexual acts with characters who are not the MC (as women are supposed to... in a brothel...) so if it's not your cup of tea then steer clear.

Writing: Plot revolves around a contest between 3 women who are competing against each other to win a prize. Catch being these games aren't just have sex with 30 men for 30 hours but dig into the personal lives of these women, MC is roped into this competition and he also begins to find truths about himself he wasn't aware of.
The dialogue is witty and smart, and characters are written with personality instead of being empty cliches. All of them have their own strengths and insecurities and all of them are working towards their own objective. There's a bunch of subplots aside from the competition which I find more interesting but so far MC or the story hasn't put much emphasis on it.
Other male characters are also fleshed out and they (may) play a significant role in story depending on how MC interacts with them. MC's dynamic and interactions with his best friend and Mom account for some heartwarming moments as compared to otherwise bleak and sadistic shit he has to do for the club. And no MC cannnot fuck his mom.

I only discovered this game now so after 2 years but normally I don't even look at projects in their infancy. This game is not in it's infancy it is actually nicely developed and boy... It is developed well. All models are great I just love every single one of them. There is nice balance between free roam and just visual story. And animations! There are great animations. In summary - this is must play for you. I love how corrupted this shit is.

Its a decent game depending on your preferences and fetishes and based on them you will agree or disagree with my rating.

You will like it if you can distance yourself from the MC and overlock it from a third perspecitve. You will like it who likes to humiliate and degrade his LI and Side characters sexually. You will also like if you have light cuckholding tendencies, aka sharing or watching/enjoying your mothers porn past etc.

You will not like it if you looking for wholesome moments. You will not like it if you look for Harem. You will not like it if you look for romance and you also will not like it if you think you can keep your LI (singular) from taking part in the Adult establishment.

So with that its pretty clear what this game is and for what it is its ok. Could be better in some parts but nothing what I would say its stupid from story progression or character development. I mean its a story about a MC working in a Brothel for Rich folks and you "let it ride" or try to have some what of a relationship with one of the LI. With that mindset you have to play the game.

I remember trying this game last year and had mixed feelings of it and waited for more content. While the story can be enjoyable and the MC is not a total looser, I felt that in some part the MC behaved inconsistent so that specific scenes coud happen or that the story could progress in a specific way. In the end it reminded me of the old Japanese VN where you have many routes, but not much to say in it.

Im not sure where the game is going and from what I played the story could either end in two Chapters, or could milked for 10+ Chapters.

If you not into this type of content I suggest to try the game for a 1h or so.
At least where you can progress one of your LI in your liking to see if its suit your taste. If not, I suggest to wait like me when its finised and give it another try. Trust me, if you dont want to play through the game, at least check the scene replay out because some of them is the download alone worth it. (You need a mod to unlock it tho)

Full disclosure... I am not a fan of most Honey Select games, but there are a couple that rise to the top and this one is probably the best.

I rarely give a game 5 stars but for me, this game hits all the right buttons. There are very few adult games with decent BDSM, but this one is really good. It is more glamour and or humiliation bondage without the violent element which is just my speed. Plus, you can play the MC in a variety of ways... nice guy, a-hole, deviant, mix of all... it's really well done.

Additionally, it is well written with a good story. All of the girls have a fleshed out backstory and each of them are different. Each girl represents different interests.. you have the rocker/tattoo/goth, bimbo/slut, redhead/muscle bound, milf/curvy and a cutie to round things out. Of course the concept is not realistic, but once you buy off on it, the rest of the story fits nicely inside.

The story is essentially about a competition between 3 girls and the cool thing is the MC can help to decide the winner by directing the action and directly influencing the outcomes. There is a lot more to the story and the MC can get serious or just have fun with all, some or one of the girls, but the competition is really what drives the story forward.

If you like light bdsm, watching girls orgasm, humiliation, playing an MC who can be both caring and selfish, then you should be playing this right now. If you have been interested in it, but have never tried it, this is a good intro. None of the girls are forced to do anything and they can quit at any time.

the BEST visual novel on this site. clever writing, great renders and characters full of personality. a nice amount of content and more to come, this game will end up as one of the greats. good luck to the dev and i'm excited about futher development.

Actually just making this review because I believe this is my duty, and that I was shocked I hadn't already given 5 stars to this game.

This work of art (let's call it as it is) is an actual masterpiece and something that should be praised everywhere if sex wasn't as taboo as it is in our society. I actually am sad I cannot talk about it with IRL acquaintaince for obvious reasons, because I have been tempted to more than once.

The Honey Select art is absolutely amazing and knowing a bit of Honey Select myself, I can attest how much time and hard work is needed to attain this result. The girls are very varied, all have actual identities and differences, and to top it all off juicy, very arousing, and dare I say, perfect bodies. The lighting in the game is pristine. Everything about the art is at the very best level you can get today.

The story is not for everyone, but is extremely well written, thought out, and actually goes somewhere, contrary to almost every single other game you can find on this website.

The MC has a personality too, and while he doesn't refrain from indulging in his desires and debatable kinks, also reflects upon himself with surprising maturity which makes this game interesting on the intellectual level too.

I know this is something one should not say with frivolity, but this game is simply the BEST game you can find on this website. Nothing less indeed. So much so that I would have loved to be part of the team creating this prodigious art work, if I had the opportunity.

A very nice and addictive VN for me. Definitely rated 5 stars. The character designs and the scenes are good and stunning. It's really hard for me to believe that these are created by using the Honey select. The characters’ personalities are unique and complicate, which makes you to love them and probably hate them at the sametime. Like Ian, the ultimate combination of asshole and best bro. Personally I love Hana the most, her interactions and chemistry with the mc is really the best, all their teasing and emotional sharing are very cute. She is the absolute to me in this game. Looking forward for more Hana contents.

The idea is kind of fresh to me. I mean the ideas of corrpution and depravity is not rare in AVN, but talking about building a club for the sole purpose to satisfy the twisted and greedy needs of a bunch people with strong power. It’s just some next level depravity for me, which I never imagined myself will be enjoying it, but here I am dammit.

The story is well-written, which makes you really invested into the story. The game choice will make you (or it is just me) feel conflicted, e.g. the relationship with Mina, having an EXTRA judge in the latest update to witness your performance on the stage. This just makes you feel harder in making decisions, especially when you want to decide a canon routine. Also, the music list is quite huge. It’s not a must, but it is definitely a plus for creating a better experience and atmosphere for the story. To conclude, definitely recommend this VN.

No wonder it's in the top 3 VN on this site (I think it's the second best one here, if that matters). This one really deserves it.
The characters are gorgeous, scenes, lighting and settings are perfectly executed. The writing is amazing, the story captivating. Combined with the soundtrack it just sucks you up, and makes you part of this twisted world.

Sex club might be one of the most unique setting for adult visual novels on F95 as it is a pretty unpopular choice for the demographics on this site. But the developers made it work perfectly.

Thanks to the unique setting, the story is very enjoyable. Each character has their own personality, goal and problem differently, which make me looking forward the next updates to understand these intriguing characters more and more.

The renders are just as good as the story, they are done beautifully, even though this game is made on old HS1 engine. The characters, even those side characters are just as charming as the main casts. The scenes are lively as well, the developers tried to make the surrounding environment look alive, not just focusing on the main characters.

The soundtracks, although not original, they are suited with the overall atmosphere of the game neatly, especially main menu theme really set the mood for playing the game.

My only issue for this game is that whenever character profile is updated, it overwrites the old description of that character. So it would be nice if the player can look back to the previous descriptions as well.

I also hoped that the developers continued exploring on depraving content that most developers are shy away from.

10/10, Solid 5 Stars.

Great story with great visuals. It's amazing how GIL manages to make the Honey Select rendered characters emote so much. TD does a brilliant job with the story as well.

Despite having the scenario set in such a depraved world as Pale Carnations, the player is made to feel for the characters - both the main ones and the side characters. The usage of Victoria as the moral compass was an excellent idea. Especially when her image pops up whenever the MC is having too much fun, we realize how much more depraved the MC is getting after each passing day. Hana has easily managed to become one of my favorite AVN girls and the Felicia isn't really far off.

Looking forward to the next update, as always.

This is an excellent game with great visuals, and a sexy escapist story that ticks off a lot of boxes for me. While I have some reservations in a couple of the scenes in the game, I find it acceptable within the premise of the story that gentlemen bastards can be sleazy without bounds when they entertain their naughty boy's club mentality.

The MC is faced with the choice of either developing to be one of these sleazy gentlemen bastards, or somehow navigating how to be a decent guy despite the circumstances in the game.

This is not to say that the story is a serious morality play -- it is still erotic fiction, but what I like about it is that it's smartly written and appeals between the ears as much as it does between the legs.

Kudos to the developers for making this game.

Really well done quality game. Everything about playing this game just feels like a dev who knows what they are doing and does it with amazing polish. Story flows really well and the writing seems really well done for all the girls so far. I am not always on board with the adult content in the game (dont think I am supposed to be either) but its been really good so far.

The girls in the game are unique and some amazing adult scenes with great buildup. Nothing feels rushed for the content for any of the girls so far.

Hope the updates continue at a good pace with the quality we have had because this game just oozes a creator who has mastered their craft.

Excellent game. Exceptional storytelling, characters, animations and lewd scenes. I think it's the best game on the site, quite comfortably

My only slight criticism would be the range/diversity of body types. Which while broad, there aren't any "thin" girls without large breasts. I think Harper might come the closest, and while that sort of body type isn't really what I prefer (I think Felicia has the best body in the game hands down), the variance would be fun to play around with. Same goes for "dark" characters. Dahlia is darker skinned, but I was hoping to find someone around the same complexion as Jacob

Still, while those things would certainly enhance the game experience, I can't say it's not deserving of 5 stars as it is.

Fantastic game.

What stands out is that it contains the best written sex scenes of any VN out there. You get the impression that they're done by a professional erotic literature writer. There's a clear focus on quality over quantity when it comes to the sex scenes which I think is absolutely the right way to go about it.

The writing in general is great, and it has a very mature approach to a rather dark story. There's lots of kinky stuff, blackmail, BDSM etc. Thankfully it's not only extreme fetishes; there are more wholesome interactions and relationships so that a person who has no interest in BDSM (like me) can still greatly enjoy the game.

The female cast is fantastic. It is pretty diverse (the cute model/"little sister"-type, the rocker chick, the amazonian, the trophy wife, the mommy, the dom type) and while I do not care about some of these, it also contains two of my absolute all-time favorite LIs.

There's also a moral conundrum component to the game which I enjoy. The MC is fundamentally a good person but depending on your choices you can indulge his more depraved side, or stay pure and good and try to help the other characters.

You owe it to yourself to try this one.

This game is incredibly amazing.
Im not gonna lie, at first, after seeing the few screenshots on this site, i wrote it off as just another random anime game but man, i could not have been more wrong. This game is an actual game. You can just feel it how much work and careful thought has been put into it, in the story, in the characters, situations, etc. There is nothing low effort in this, and you never feel like the devs are making it up as they go.
The characters are extremely well written, and all of them feel unique, including the player character. The girls arent there just to check a specific fetish, they are well realized characters with their own motivations, backstory and personality. I just loved every minute of interactions with all of them, though my all time favorites are Kathleen, Veronica and Rosalind.

What actually impressed me though was the artistry in the game. This game has the best character posing i have seen in any visual novel. The attention to detail in the body language for every character, not to mention the hand posing is nothing short of amazing. It elevates the game above many others. As someone who knows how hard it is to pose characters so they look natural, i was super impressed of what i have seen in the game. And of course the animations are great and just as impressive. Then there are the environments, that are, again, very well though out and most of them specifically created for the game. Great stuff.

Overall, this game is absolutely amazing, highly recommended, and i cant wait to see more. I wish the best for the devs and i hope they will continue to deliver this high quality content in the future.
