Shallow characters, nonsensical dialogs, that freaking screen transitions that really kills the mood, a story that is really, really hard to believe and feel immersed. Although the concept feels nice, the way it is presented is hideous.
And the way your agency (towards the MC choices) works feels waaaaaay off

This is a game that shouldn't work for me on paper. I don't normally VNs and I don't normally like this style of art and animation. However I was blown away by how good the writing is. All the characters feel like different people with strong personalities and motivations. The VN has some choices and mechanics that make it feel like you're making impactful decisions. I really love it and can't wait for the next update.

Cannot wait to see where the story for this game goes, each update just gets all the more intense and the art style is very uniquely done. Aside from 2 other HS games I'd say it's definitely up there with the best graphics and the effort shows in their animations. The story telling is at a great pace and each character leaves you wanting more of them.

Game take it's writing to heart, with good storylines being developed, characters that aren't just caricatures of porno tropes, the MC is also a normal human being and not some degenerate asshole which is a big win. Honestly the game is more like a visual novel with porn elements than a porn game with visual novel elements which is fine by me, always cared more about story tbh.

Game has a planned direction so one can expect a proper ending instead of it just being bloated with content. The character interactions between our MC and Killian is pretty well written too, and it almost makes me feel bad for going for Mina. Almost.

. The characters are interesting and the plot... perfect. Its so depraved but with a touch of realism unlike the usual everyone just fucking for no reason. Honestly one of the few game which I would follow the plot rather than just skipping. For the sex, the animation and character models are great as you can see from the screenshot and not the copy pasta anime model and the sex scenes are unique and really hot due to the setting.

Top quality, despite the heavy BDSM theme which made me feel weird some time.
Writing and English are top notch.
The music is awesome, well chosen and used (compared to supposedly "music related VNs" ) even more with some nice sound effects.
Animations are detailed, fluid, hot. Hot scenes go from expected to original.
And the scenario could go in many directions (where the fuck is Darius?). I'm sure this story could become kinda dramatic.

I m kinda afraid of how I will feel playing other games after playing this one

I have only gotten into VNs recently. Pale Carnations is the 5th and most recent one that I have played, and it's the best one I have played so far.

It's the first game where I had to leave a review for, and also the first VN to convince me to support the creators via Patreon.

I have gone back and supported the creators of the otherVNs I had played.
I guess playing Pale Carnations brought out the altruistic side of me.

Amazing ! Enjoyed the detail and immersion in this. Would love for it to be updated and extended continuously in the future! Hope the OP doesnt give up on this. Will add it to my watch list. Not often I review a game but this deserves it. My favorite game so far! It's smooth and enjoyable to play. Many choices even thou no free sandbox however it just feels right. I like the game just the way it is, hope for there to be even more even after the 4 weeks. Perhaps new girls? Looking forwaard to it already

When i have looked into this game i saw Chapter 3 and though: "oh that must be too early to play".

OMG i was so wrong!

This game is really great he has a lot of content, nice story, excellent characters and even the MC is well developed.

My only concern about this game is the main theme but that's okay the art is great and that's only a personal taste. There's a little too much degradations and heavy BDSM stuff for me.

The story is what makes this game great with the characters well written. The psy side of things makes the characters quite human.

The art is really fine, models are hot everywhere. A little disappointed by the animations but that's too much to ask i concede . And too much sperm... that's not my fetish to drown my partner in bed lol

Last thing to say, the main bosses of the club are too faded. I whish they were more important in the story but perhaps later they will?.

Top tier.

Every important(?) female character has its own unique characteristics that makes it attractive in its own ways. Characters are then cleverly used to provide different fetishes/preferred contents to the players. The players can easily associate said contents to the characters because the story progression is natural while the story connection is smooth. Although the game overall is focused on exploring hardcore material, you, the main character, can choose to respect or exploit your girls.

And that concludes the fanboy(me) impression of the game

Great art, good writing. It's clear that there's more than one person working on this project because the attention to detail in various areas of the game are apparent.

Personally not a very big fan of the 'hardcore' scenes that happen within the Club, but outside of it very much enjoying the H-scenes. I am very much enjoying the build-up of the relationships between MC & Hana and MC & Mina.

I'm happy to have found this game, I'm really looking forward to future updates.

Most impressive. The quality of characters and writing is among the best there is. The sex scenes are varied, well motivated, and hot. While the use of HS models puts a limit on the quality of the renders, they still serve very well. While this is certainly not a sunshine and puppies kind of a game, you have substantial latitude in the game as to how the MC deals with what is going on.

An easy 5 stars for one of the best games I've seen.

This is probably the First Review I have ever posted and I have been frequenting this site for years but boi I've gotta. This is hands down one of the best VNs I have ever played from this site. I have played easily hundreds of different VNs but something about this one just grabs me. Maybe it's the writing, the renders(except Veronica I know many of you love her personally I REALLLLLLY don't), or maybe it's just the overall depravity behind the theme. I'm not sure myself but, What I can say is don't skip this game do yourself a favor and play it. Also Rosalind numbah 1 that is all.

I was surprised to see this few patrons for this game, it's weird that it's not getting the recognition it deserves.
Out of the top games in F95 for me this is probably the best one. And I'm surprised to say this because I was a bit put off by the description and first impressions about it, thinking it's leaning too heavily on public degrading theme, but there is a lot more to it.
Story is great, character development is spot on - enough time to be invested but not too much time to start skipping through text. Technically it's on its own league and there are plenty of stories to go through with the characters.
Highly recommend it.

An excellent story coupled with great characters and awesome artwork make this game a must play.

There are some things to be aware of though. First there are a lot of pretty extreme scenes in this game. But for the most part it is easy to mostly just click through if you like me are not interested in it. Second you may be frustrated on how little agency you actually get in the game, but that is also the nature of the setting where you are just a pawn in other peoples scheme.

In my opinion, this VN has one of the best renders along with content and storyline among all the porn game. All the girls have their unique personality and traits. Moreover, the VN presents many fetishes in a very exiting way. Overall, the VN deserves more attention and support. I hope we will get more updates and quality contents like these.

There is only one word to describe this game: wow.

Every aspect of it is fucking amazing. Just stop reading this (or any) reviews, download and play it.

The writing in it is excellent, and imho the best feature of the game. It is guaranteed to have you playing till the end of the update. The characters are all well done and have tons of depth. Your decisions throughout the game also matter to some degree, for some characters more than the others.

The renders are on the same level as the writing. They are simply excellent. I especially liked that the expressions on the characters' faces follow the dialogues and events. Speaking of faces, the models in this game are also excellent.

Pro tip: there is a walkthough in the op. For the first couple of playthroughs, don't use it. Just play the game according to what you feel like doing, then use the walthrough to unlock all the scenes. I played without the wt at first and then I used it, and I feel that if I had started the game with it, it would have marred the experience a little.

If you've read so far, congratulations. You've wasted a minute. Just download the game and dive into it, it's more than worth it.

Pale Carnations is an AVN that takes you for a ride. As you progress through this AVN, you will find yourself in many situations that force you to subconsciously think about your own moral compass during some parts of the AVN. The MC is a seemingly normal guy with dreams and ambitions who was given an opportunity to better his financial situation. He's immediately set out on a journey as his job threatens to strip away his own morals and push him further and further down a path of depravity. It's your job as the player to determine how far down this path he goes and who he'll exit this journey with. That being said, you have my respect if you play and do not choose Veronica or Hana.

As a writer, there's really not much that can be said that hasn't been said already. The developers are quite talented and it will always boggle my mind that this AVN only has around 400 patrons.
