Yeah my first thought when I saw "Paradise Heights" was the game from the 90's. Now i feel old..
I still remember hearing that thumping sound coming from upstairs and finding the girl tied up with a vibe.
Now I'm having flashbacks to like Nocturnal Illusion and timestripper, both of which I have a CD for somewhere.
What's the read on player transformation? M2F, futa, etc.
the tags here don't do a good job of differentiating between different types of content, so I'd like to have an idea of that.
Edit: Also of note, the sexual content seems to be a hard split between sub/dom content, there's no real middle of the road option. If that's your jam, that's great, but not really for me
Sofar its a nice game with a good story to start. Kinda reminds me of the one called "Devilish Business" (similar in terms of the literal devil granting you power to do stuff) but i guess with more of a transformation theme. I guess some people will be drawn away by the fact you get turned into a Futa/Herm at the conclusion of the intro, but sofar i like it.
Good luck on futher development, and look forward to see more.
So...femdom themes, are we looking at females dominating the MC and really doing it, or does the MC become futa/femaleish and is the dom or are we talking femdom happening to characters outside the MC?
To clarify for everyone asking: at the very start your are turned into a futa succubus, this is unavoidable and part of the game (well, I mean you could game over and live your life normally, but then you're not playing).
Every character who can be changed now (of which there are, I believe, 4 unless I missed someone in 1.2), has two possibilities of "transformation". These options, aside from the assistant, are based on where you talk to them and decide what path to pick for them. I haven't done half of them but the basics are as follows:
1. Assistant can either be a 'partner' (they will be a dominant type of futa succubus) or a sextoy bimbo (don't recall what happens to her here)
2. There is a boy who wants to bulk up and is insecure in his masculinity. You can either turn him into a bull-man (read as: he gets big and gets some horns, don't expect a minotaur or even an anthro), or I 'think' a sissy?
3. A pretty actress who either wants to be a better actress (turns her into a pornstar type) or you help ease her worries about her large breasts by turning her into a cow-girl (similar as the guy, this is mostly a hucow/"girl gets some horns and lactates", not anthro)
4. A reclusive nerd who you either turn into Cortana if she was freaky in bed, or into a goth who rebels against societal norms.
As of right now you do not change the genders of any other character aside from your assistant and yourself.
Along with all of this, you have an amulet that you can swap that will either make you a dominant or a submissive, which will also add a whole new set of scenes for every character when you lewd them (i.e. dominant and bullman causes you to tease him, submissive and bullman gets you pinned down, etc), along with just working in each location having a few different sexy scenes. This means that depending on the amulet settings, either you will dominate people or you will be dominated (so to answer your question Ravenleaf: Femdom is a thing)
That all said, I highly recommend playing the game if any of what's here sounds interesting. Each character has 3 talking points at each location they visit to find out what their concerns are (which leads to the options for them), it has potential for interesting resource management at some point, and it has a lot of nice scenes for what's already here. This is super early in development but there is definitely potential here. The latest update adds a few new scenes in the investment part with the bank and a few new lore bits, but where it can go from here can be great.
*I should also note that my preference was the bull-man/cow-girl and cortana transformation wise, hence why I don't know on some other things as well. Just adding that in because while each character visits two locations (guy visits gym/diner, actress visits diner/computer area, nerd visits gym/computer area), this means that it's possible to have two characters who are transformed together who are also working in the same spot. I haven't tested with the gym (sissy+goth) and I don't know how it works in the computer area (as the cortana transformation has them kinda be in the system rather than just the computer area), but this does mean that bull-man/cow-girl do have some scenes together.

Aside from the assistant (who is just a "one or the other"), if you use the cheatvision while looking at buildings to build you can see what kinds of transformations are associated with them, each building should have two and each transformation relates to two of the three characters, see previous post.
If you talk to the 4 armed demon about 'foci', he can give you two options to change a person but you can't choose until you meet a person 3 times (that's over three days) at a SPECIFIC location. Each time you talk to them, you'll learn more about their story and can make your own understanding of why they should be changed in what way. For example, the nerd girl is having issues in the computer lab because she's trying to make friends online and wants the freedom to be whoever she wants so the Cortana transformation (where she becomes a sentient computer program/character creator) will tie in to that. However, if you meet her at the gym, she will talk about her familial upbringing and how she felt restricted at home and wants to be a rebel, so the gym transformation will turn her into a goth who smokes.
Each day you have 3 time periods: morning, afternoon, evening. The 'optimal' way to play then is build a building and visit all of your buildings at every point in the day until you learn the character schedules (you don't have to work at a building and can just leave it without advancing time, I'm pretty sure the guy works out in the morning and gets lunch at diner before going home). This means when you find a character you want to transform in the location that will affect their transformation how you want it to be, you have to talk to them 3 times over 3 days, get enough information about a Foci to make, then go back to 4 arms and buy the foci for 1000 resources. Give it to them in the same place you've been talking to them (i.e. don't go to gym expecting to get the boy to turn into a bull, talk to him at diner), and they will join your staff.
During the times you work at a place you get more resources as well (and can see some nice scenes), and can even have 'work situations' with characters where their output is increased more each time (in my 1.2 run, I had over 500+ resources generating every day). If a character is working at a place, they will always be there from then on and you can go have sexy time whenever you want (aside from nerd girl turned into Cortana because she's actually in a separate area/new location because she's kinda everywhere).
And, if you can manage to get all 3 (and it doesn't matter what transformation you pick) before your new boss comes back, there's a whole selection of bonus scenes to pick from.

For anyone trying to do this, I decided to do it myself with some knowledge, so a few random 'quick tips' before going into what I did:
1. When working you have the option to either just work or get involved with whatever. If you 'just work' you will get a +2 bonus per day, which doesn't sound like much but it technically means that the work period would be better than the +15 you get from getting involved after 8 days. With the time limit crunch, it's best to do the 'just work' until like, day 6 or so. You can also upgrade buildings for 200 which generates +25 a day and would pay off in only 8 days as well, but because you're spending resources and want to get people as fast as possible this may not be that good for a speedrun (though obviously if/whenever the game gets longer this would be something you want to do asap), and it may still be worth doing at least the first upgrade or even two, just keep in mind the deadline.
2. You will have to spend bare minimum of 15 timeslots in order to get everything in order to get all 3 done (3 talking per character, foci craft, and the actual transformation scene). Of note, because foci crafting takes time and you get the most resources in the morning, my successful attempt only had one person in the morning. This also means that you may want to be careful about trying to transform people who may share the same time-slot (i.e. Actress is at the diner at night while nerd is at computer area at night, meaning if you want a cowgirl and cortana this will mess with times).
3. Once a character is transformed, if you go back to the location you transformed them at and they're working there when you are (i.e. you select "go to work" and a scene pops up with them in it), you can get more energy AND a permanent boost to daily (+30 now, +5 every day). It seems like this can only trigger once a day per person and I'm not sure if it works for Actress with mask (she gets knocked out rest of the day at least and I quit after seeing the scene because I did it the day before deadline).
That said, my guide is as follows:
1. Buy two buildings (and possibly one upgrade). In mine I went with computer+diner with the following transformations: Actress at computer lab->mask in morning, Guy at diner->Bull-man in afternoon, and Nerd at computer lab->Cortana in the evening.
2. First day or two just do the work and don't get involved, you can get a nice +6 a day which will be nice and should be better than the +45.
3. After a few days of getting your daily stuff up, start talking to everyone if possible. As I said in mine, I had a character to talk to in each time slot. This can also probably be done with other combinations (gym+diner can lead to sissy guy, goth girl, and cow-girl with similar time slots), but mess with that on your own and have fun, this is mostly just for getting to the one scene and saving before it.
4. Around day 8 or so you should be done talking to everyone, do as much of the "involved" work as possible and as soon as you hit 1k resources buy your first foci. Keep in mind that said foci crafting will take up a block of time, so if it's the first person and you hit 1k on the daily resources, I'd advise not getting the foci for anyone in the morning block (in my case, I went with bull-man).
5. Meet with the person you made the foci for, do the 'special choice' that involves giving them the object or bringing them aside, and transform them. Whenever you work, you want to focus on that store now as you can get the worker events with +30 and the daily boost, may want to do some "save scum" in order to get the event at least once a day (just hit the back arrow at the top of the game area)
6. From there, just build up to 1k again, buy another foci, then transform the second person (adding them as another possible +30 a day), then get the last person when you can. I was able to do it before she came back and got the scenes.
Again, buying the building upgrades for 200 may be worth it if you buy them in the first few days, but she returns on like day 17 or so which means anything later than the 8th is probably a loss of resources for this purpose.
Putting a spoiler here in case you don't want to know what the scenes are but did read a walkthrough of how to get to them.
Whether you get said "bonus" or not, the story will advance forward, you'll be told about your new goal, and bank+casino are added. Casino, as of right now, seems to just be a way to make the daily gains more varied, and the bank has some new scenes where when you do investments you can 'have fun' with the people you invested in before getting back more resources than you spent, which as of right now is the end of the game until further updates.
*Edit: I should also note that, according to the change log, if you fail to transform enough people you can get a game over where one of the people you transformed takes over in your place. I haven't actually messed around with that enough myself to find out 'who/what' transformation does it, but my guess would be your assistant takes over if you make them a partner (no idea if they'd take over as a bimbo sex pet). I can't make any claims on who does it and I have always been able to get two people transformed even without min-maxing so I haven't seen it yet.
