I get it, for some reason you don't know what a rip-off is. This game is a direct and blatant rip-off of Parasite Inside. Using different assets does not make it any less than a rip-off. Just because you don't seem to understand that, does not make it any less of a fact.
Before you go defending an uncreative scam artist, you should maybe learn a thing or two. Maybe finish primary school first.
I get where you are coming from, but I disagree.
So long as they are producing their own assets and not just copying the story and mechanics and whatnot from Parasite Inside, it falls into the category of "heavily inspired by" rather than "blatant rip-off." This isn't a bad thing in and of itself, although it could be.
Take Darksiders, for example. The first game plays like the lovechild of Zelda and, I don't know, probably God of War? It even has a bloody hookshot. It's still a good game, however, and stands on its own two feet.
Parasite Echo is, quite clearly, inspired by Parasite Inside. Hell, it's in the name. Parasite ECHO. Now whether or not this is a good thing or a bad thing, depends on whether or not they rely on Parasite Inside's well earned success to gain popularity.
If they just produce a crap shoot and/or lazy game, then yeah, sacrifice them to the volcano gods.
If they produce a solid game with an original story, mechanics, etc, then give respect where it's due. They are obviously giving respect to Parasite Inside with their name alone. It's meant to feel like the same genre, but give them a chance to show its a different game. Hell, Dark Souls/Demon Souls redefined a genre so much it produced the "souls-like" genre of games. Some of which are good, some are just lazy.
And don't say that a space rp with sex parasites is enough to call it a rip-off. First of all, that's a common enough genre in and of itself, and not an original idea by Parasite Inside. Secondly, don't insult Parasite Inside by saying that's all their plot and writing boils down to.
In conclusion, if you don't want to play Parasite Echo, cool, that's your choice. Before you decide to attack it though, give the producer a chance to prove themselves. Either good or bad.
Side note, just because someone disagrees with you, don't attack them or their intelligence. It makes you sound like a 12 year old, and 90% of the people on this site will simply ignore you and anything you have to say if that's how you present yourself.
