Hi All

If posted in wrong Forum let me know or move it to correct one's (moderators)

Now if I want to have patreons on my page, is there a monthly payment i need to make to patreon to do so?
DO i just setup my pay pal and credit card info and off i go?
Then what are these different patreon price packages for? I mean what content do a $10 get over a 5$ patreon? Apart from earlier release ?

I am pretty new to creating VN and patreon.

I think yes patreon is a monthly subscription system so basically people will "donate" the prices each month and out of that some money will be taken by patreon as fee.

Well mostly Devs would give access to "benefits" to the payers for example at 5$ u can get them access to a private discord channel at 15$ u can make CG it wallpapers to give them or if higher money then u can ask for them to provide some kind of story or add them as a character in the game etc...really it depends on what u want to provide to the people that have put money into your project

hmm seems they take out twice (not as much as before) but they charge you for server fees and then money for themselves along with a strict ruling over your game content.

Thinks it's now that they charge for each payment the Devs get whereas before they just charged from the total after the month

Patreon takes a cut of all your patrons, you souldn't have to pay them. However, I wouldn't launch it till you have a game anyways. No point.

Yeah that is my intention. First chapter of game im not going to Patreon anyway, give it out for free...

Ive created the patreon page already and added some promo images of the models etc...

Ofc you'll want to demo the first release to garner patrons. But people will patron because of the demo, so just release it and link to the patreon and the people who are interested in more will donate.

I like your "Character depth matters" in your sig... If you eluding ot games then i'm with you, even for an Adult VN characters need to be more than just eye candy..

Yeah, it's my motto and my motivation. I'm working on my own game with the help of an artist and I just joined a team to work on a second project as the writer. In my opinion there's no point to an adult game without characters to be invested in. We aren't here because we have a fetish for the uncanny valley, we are here because these stories provide a better sexual experience than traditional porn.
