HTML - Patriarch [v0.16] [Oranos]

Not the most unusual kind of story but still unusually well written with a nice amount of depth. The images and gifs are a bit mixed some are nice others very generic. All in all the game is the most fun the first time you play it as it has very few points of decission and is generally just an interactive book with pictures and lacks any kind of gameplay loop.

- TLDR: you're stuck playing an asshat with a huge ego, who believes they have a license to treat everyone like trash because of who their father is (like a certain boy king from Game of Thrones). Unlike Game of Thrones, the writing is bad & doesn't make any sense. It's like you're playing a delusional character who expects people to respect them when all they do is abuse people and enslave them.

- Grindy game made even grindier after the newest "feature": Relationship regression. Not only are you limited to roughly 3-4 actions per day. You have to spend one of those actions with a girlfriend or wife as upkeep to prevent regression. That doesn't sound so bad, until you realize that you're going to have 10 girlfriends and wives (and counting) and each of them require you to spend time with them one on one. If you don't spend time with them, they'll get desperate and have a chance to force themselves on you, wasting one of your 3-4 daily actions. And no, their mood does not get sated when this happens. So you can effectively get soft-locked and get 0 actions a day if you ignore them. I did report this to the dev, but this won't get changed
- Plays like a kinetic novel with sandbox elements. There are no meaningful choices, just cosmetic ones
- No idea where the story going, if there is one at all
- No gallery
+ Some of the models are hot
+ The sandbox progression is decent and there's an in-game walkthrough. The walkthrough isn't perfect containing gaps

Adding Relationship regression takes a grindy game and adds more pointless grind. Without it, the game would be a 3/5 if I'm being generous. Now it's a 2/5

One of the better HTML games out there. The game plays like a better-polished version of EVIL 2. There's not a lot of nuance in terms of management, but cosmetic choices make up for a decent amount of what's lacking. In my opinion, these two aspects are what makes the game unique and should be expanded on.

Its ok, you got to install the fan patches to actually have images and such. Game is pretty grindy for a textbase game, more so then usual. The scenarios that the game creates are nice and it does go the extra mile to push for sexy bimbos/sluts.

It's a real porn HTML game - you know what to expect on the picture department: random gifs, inconsistent dimensions, bodies changing from one picture to the next.

The plot doesn't exist - you're the heir of some criminal. There are no choices other than picking where you go, as all scenes are pre-scripted and there is no control over the MC: you basically choose between a couple of different scenes with each girl, and all of them play the same.

The dialogue is plain terrible, and there's plenty of grammar and syntax mistakes.

A typical scene consists of the MC calling everybody a slut and referring to the blandest sex animations as "rape", while the girls themselves are all braindead sluts with no personality - I honestly can't remember the name of a single one, nor a single trait other than which ones have the best pictures.

Navigation is terrible: way too many links where a map is needed.
The game is absurdly grindy, as others of this kind, and there's no sense of development nor accomplishment: the "quests" come down to grinding random stats or buying random items, as opposed to developing the MC in any way: you'll have sex because your stats are high enough for it or because you bought a bottle of sun lotion.

I'm giving it 3 stars because it has more pictures than most other games of this type. Other than that, it's just the same as any other HTML real porn "game".

Ridiculous plot - you're the heir of a super mega god gangster who everyone knows and submits to. The game is relatively wide and relatively flat. Find a pretty girl, repeat actions with her until she strips for you, blows you, fucks you, gives up every aspiration in her life to be a gif gallery you sometimes click on. I couldn't tell you the name of a single character, they're all insignificant and pointless. Click click click ooo boobies click click click click click. There's so much to click on, tons of gifs and flat plot and repetitive dates and "have the sex" options. Who cares.

After a few years of lurking, I've finally decided to make a review for the game that has interested me the most - Patriarch.

The bread and butter of this game are its kinks, it has everything I like - from male domination to humiliation, and even more. As for the grind - it is not oppressive and the systems are designed well enough.

But what do we grind for you might ask? It's all for the porn, of course. And man it is good. Give this game a try.

This game puts a lot of effort where it matters and less effort where it doesn't. The choice of visuals is excellent. There are tons and tons of GIFs for each scene and tons of scenes. As a fellow Discerning Coomer who has previously seen many of the GIFs used by Oranos, I can say with some authority that he has good taste. So it's a 5 star no brainer.

There's an obvious lack of polish which detracts not at all from the fappability of the game. Can Oranos spell? No, no he cannot. But Oranos can and does WRITE, and actually made this effing game while I sit here on my ass jacking off to it.

Many people are complaining about navigability and that's just silly. The game can be played 1 handed so just shut up and click a whole 4 times to get to the next scene.

This game has by far the best use of amateur real porn -- my favorite -- of any H game I've seen to date. It has tons of content despite being only 2 years old. We should be applauding that and not getting caught up in the weeds.

Everything about this is just so... lazy. The image and GIF sizes are all over the place. Navigation is horrendously bad, there are only basic text links, while some kind of map / hub screen would be necessary. The game also fails at communicating goals clearly, some parts of the progression are guesswork, especially the Amber arc is as obtuse as it gets. The phone messages are annoying as hell, because there's no way to know if you haven't already seen it before you click on it.

The premise is paper thin, you're the heir of a crime clan and your job is to reinstate the family name to former glory. You fuck a lot of girls and turn most of them into "slaves", which boils down to repeating events until the girl "submits" to you. You also can date multiple girls, which boils down to repeating events until the girl becomes your "girlfriend". There's also a side story with your sisters, which boils down to... you get the idea.

I do like some of the models chosen, especially the college girls are interesting, as they're not used that often in porn games. On the other hand, image consistency is a huge problem. For some girls, there are multiple models which ruins any semblance of immersion.

The most recent update introduced bimbofication and breeding, but as of now, there's not much to talk about. From what is there, it is to be assumed that the dev sticks to his guns, for the better or worse.

There are almost no choices in this game, your only goal is to hunt down all the triggers to fill your harem. If you're looking for something to fap to, this game might be something for you, because some images/gifs are quite hot. Stay away if you're looking for something with meaningful progression and choice driven narrative.

I'm biased, I HAVE to give this game 5 stars because it ticks all of my boxes. The premise alone zeroes in on pretty much all my key fetishes.

An adequate review though for those wanting to know if this game is worth playing:

I usually avoid HTML games and similar like the plague because of the clunky, overcomplicated interfaces and stats management, crude text delivery and stock photos as in-game images. But maybe I've been missing out, because the developer of this game has tweaked the aforementioned factors enough so that the rewards far outweigh the grind to get them.

The writing isn't perfect, but dialogue conveys exactly what I personally want to hear from a written sex scene, and the chosen images and gifs complement the writing surprisingly well. Character progression is layered enough that reading about growing relationships between you and the women is enjoyable - admittedly, some more than others. The writing is even broken up in to very fappable scenes - The delivery in the form of full pages of text rather than VN screen by screen passages is as of now my preferred means of reading/playing.

In terms of gripes:

• No sound to speak of - some stock music would be nice to better set the scene and convey tone. I usually have my own playing in a separate tab, so not a deal breaker
• Some characters feel more fleshed out than others - sad if your favourite character receives less story-time than your least favourite character
• The overall progression system is quite grindy, and tricky to wrap your head around for the uninitiated - that being said, if you're conservative enough with your tasks and choices, it's hard to fuck up any scene in particular (and the back button is helpful too).

I could probably provide more in the way of critique, and maybe I will at a later date when my head is clearer. For now, however, if you're a fan of maledom power fantasies involving bringing women to heel and dialogue heavy written smut - DON'T SLEEP ON THIS.

It's been a while since I've been made to genuinely look forward to the next installment - can't wait for the next update!

It takes a lot of time to progress, because you need to buy/interract with a lot of stuff, but have 5 energy and most of stuff can be done with the first 2 points of your energy.

First off the porn in this one is absolutely amazing an highly fappable imo so kudos for that.

Edit: I raised my rating by 1 star because I was thinking of the grind. There is grind, that's true, BUT 95% of the grind has new content, which I just haven't seen anywhere else before. And that 5% (I'm looking at you Gym) can be done in a few in-game days quite fast.

I would really like to rate this game higher because around release 0.5 I loved it, and it still has great content, but I think overall it's held back by the extremely painful navigation system, which doesn't just include the map navigation, but the different type of interactions you can do at home as well. Multiple levels deep, the links are not at the same places on the pages etc. I feel like one map page with all places at the same locations on the page would be a step in the right direction.

Disclaimer: It's time for me to mention that I mostly skimmed through the text so the next critique may be biased. The other factor holding this game back imo is the hint system which others have mentioned as well. Sometimes I felt like I was stuck and had to go all over the different options in different menus or travel through town in that convoluted navigation system just to progress something which I didn't even know needed progressing.

The achievement system is nice. At least it gives an indication where one's at in the overall progress.

One of the few text type games that I liked... but not the best.
I must say that its interface, its history, seem excellent to me and the fact that they do not use porn actresses for this type of game already makes it unique, that is, they use at least characters that do not belong to adult cinema.

The amount of things you can do and with whom to interact seems good to me, developing the opportunities is the best thing that can be in any type of +18 game. So if it is for content, this has enough and its lines of text are not meaningless things.

For my part, I saw a detail that seemed very important and bad at the same time and several small details that could be improved. The first, the guidance system, if there is a hints section, but it is not enough, it simply tells you where an event can take place and to see it, a screen is loaded that can spoil a dialog scene that you are currently having. I feel like this could be improved to having it as a mini-window within the game or something.

on the other hand, when we have our "slaves" it already has 3 scenes programmed Bj Aj and SexJ. From here the only thing that bothers me is that if you have already interacted with the 3 scenes, the gifs of these are the same, I say that there should not be thousands for a single third character, but at least a minimum variety.

anyway the game is entertaining, its story is interesting. The personality of the protagonist is unique compared to other games that I have played, some details can be improved but it is a game that is enjoyable

(0.8) Of the genre of games with garbage-tier story, characterization, and dialogue and gets by with purely copious amounts of sex with a large number of characters, this one is one of the best.

Really like the choice of porn clips selected by the dev, they're top notch and there's a lot of them. This is the best part of the game and basically the reason for all the stars I'm giving this.

The storytelling and overall writing is really bad as said previously. Sex scenes are pretty hot if you're into basically the narrated versions "pornhub frontpage" clips.

The gameplay is tiresome and basically forces grind to see pics. There's no strategy, management, or simulation of anything interesting. This would've been much better off with fewer progress blockers like date/night cycle, energy, etc.

There's a large number of girls but most of them are forgettable, and all the sidegirls have pretty much identical story progression. It would be dull if they were lengthy but they're all pretty short so by the time you realize you've just met and coerced into sex the 10th girl the exact same way you did the previous 9 it's already over.

The lengthier main quest girls have pretty similar storylines to the sidegirls just with padded out content. It feels like the same thing but just with interruptions in between where you can't continue the story until the next meeting.

Regardless, if you like rapey abusive maledom, this game has it in spades and is one to check out.

You have no influence about the MC - he treats all women like trash.

You can just visit locations and stuff happens - and you can at best refuse to take in slaves or participate in events.

There is no real guideline what to do next. The navigation is unnecessary complicated and you will return 1-2 screens to far back after you performed an action in some locations.

And the game lacks any kind of relationship tracking. You just get the massage "xxx likes you more" after you interact with them (never saw a negativ one) - but there is no screen where you can easy keep track of all the (generic) girls to see how your standing is (and in the best case who they are - because you cant remember them that well ^^)

Its a linear game in the sense that you dont have an impact on the "story" - you can at best change the order some locations unlock. The rest is generic stat (stats/money) grind to unlock more pictures without any meaning.

I revisited 0.8 after my last try at 0.2 or so - I guess later on there is now more content, but it is as boring and confusing to start as in 0.2 - so its hard to motivate me to grind thru all that generic stuff where I have to degrade women. Dont get me wrong - I dont have a problem with that, but I prefer games where it is MY choice how I act with the women - some deserve it to be slaves ^^

But here every women is just a stupid fuckhole for the MC - even his female half-family.

The pics here and the story is very good. Not fking convoluted like the other HTML games which I have played. Short and sweet, same goes for the pictures and videos used in here. I just entered the late game scene with the capo, so who knows what would happen?

But for now, im giving it a 4/5, one more extra star if the creator would actually offer some tutorial or direction in the early path especially the money generation side.

This game has a pretty solid premise with lots of potential. The only real criticism is that I would prefer to not have the same “text messages” appear on my phone over and over again, especially from Audrey. Once I’ve seen the text, it’s no longer new. I’m hoping to see continued development on the existing characters' storylines as well as more development on the BDSM/slave market side. At the moment, it seems that it’s a matter of acquiring girls and then the story ends when you have them. I think there’s potential to build that out so there’s more to do with the girls once they are yours.

Boring game without any story.
You start the game and dont know what to do. Why you need money? Why you want to build a harem? Why are you so mean to the girls? All you can do is going for destination to another one and still dont know what to do. Meet girl? Okay, but why?

Without a story this here is just a collection of a few porn pics / vids.

ps.: The girls looks extremly hot but why WTH are they all just some living sluts?

This game has no soul.

There is no relationship building. There is no interaction. There is no emotion. There is no passion...

The people here are just pictures.

It's a really good example of the html-sandbox-realporn genre. It has inevitable grind, but it's quite mild. So if you into it, you should check this out.
Some notes:
The setting, while simple and laughable at first, is actually deep in some places, and overall provides nice immersion to the game. Better than average real-life or mystery themes.
The pics are astounding. Game uses a lot hot and gorgeous models or amateurs, and it's a pleasure to watch. The downside is that not many of models have a lot of sex scenes, so often it's inconsistent.
But overall I can recommend to play it/ It already has enough content to enjoy, and dev doesn't seem to stop at it
