Does Patreon have anyway to see completed projects by category or type?. Maybe it is just me but it seems to be getting more and more common for Patreon developers to start out with a fairly decent level of follow thru in terms of responding to the market and providing frequent updates or at least being honest upfront as to how often they will occur. They then seem to sort of just drift away and stop communicating with little to no updates and an endless stream of broken promises as to when the new update will come out. In other words Scammers disguised as Patreon game developers. I am not saying they are all doing this or that even most are doing it but it does seem to me that the number of them are increasing. I think we need something like Graphtreon but that focus on missed updates and the amount of money the so called developer received.

IDK the answer to that but judging by this , it's a pretty damn low percentage

Not that I know of. I agree it is probably low. But there is a difference between scammers and well meaning devs just in over their head, having health issues, life getting in the way and a myriad of other reasons people stop updating. I think for supporters the difference between the two is clear and feels differently even if the end result is the same (people have lost their money.)
Sure devs should maybe inform their supporters honestly and as best as possible but I also know it isn't always possible for one reason or another.

Seems being a VN developer on Patrion is one of the most fatal carriers out there, seems every week another poor person falls victim of some rare critical medical disorder or a fatal accident.

Not as much as being a protagonist in said VN.

I was thinking more broadly though. Having a kid, taking care of a family member, mental health issues, broken arm, vacation with your spouse, getting married etc. These are all things that can take quite a lot of energy out of you for a couple of weeks to months depending on the specifics. (e.g. having the flu can take you out for a couple of weeks easily with a couple of months total recovery time).

You can also think about a dev that is earning something like 500 - 1000 dollars a month. That is a lot of money but not enough to live off in many countries. Especially when you factor in any expenses made for the game. That means that they might still have a job next to the development of the game.
