I didnt finished the game, the girls looks pretty good, the story is interesting.... But the MC, he is the worst part of the game, aside of the game engine.
He is dumb as fuck, he is a pussy, he is the worst kind of virgin that you can find. He ask stupid questions, make stupid commentary and decisions.

The first day, Rio tells you that you cant trust Masami, moments later you discover that it was true, days later, Masami wants to have a drink with the MC, he obviously accepts, Rio tells the MC that by that moment he should already understood that he cant trust her, and the MC, says that it will be fine, because it is just a drink.....
He is a pussy and that is clearly showed when Kimiko tell him that she would be a better master than him, because he ask instead of order something... And what its the MC response?? He ask her to show him how to be more assertive... Thats in another level of stupidity and more because when he tried to boss her around and she shows him the middle finger.
When Rio explain what it is "The Rising", and the girls ask him, if he knows how to kill demons, he starts to use the cheap and stupid resource of saying "Yeah, sure, sure, I know everything about how to kill demons.... I know all of it, yeah, yeah...... Of course..." That is used in a lot of games and is so overused and is so stupid that it is not funny.

The first day in tha mansion and the MC saw that magic was real, but when Rio mentions demons and that he should train the maids sexually, he got scared thinking that everyone was crazy and he runaway and almost got killed by a monster. The girls saved him but the script is so lenient that no one ask him why he left the mansion alone or didnt told something to anyone, no one ask him anything, like they never asked him why he was naked at the start of the game... well, they did asked him but at the same time the same girl that did the question gave him an excuse, a pretty poor excuse.
He is against to have sexual contact with any of the girls... A virgin boy, that it was desperated to have sex, is against that. And lets be clear, we arent talking about rape, Rio said many times that he should make them be confortable with it because they wont want to do anything more than kissing of masturbatin, but he still talks like he was somekind of rapist.
The worst part of this game by far is the MC.
Aside of that the story is pretty okay, not a fan of the gameplay and have to wander around from one room to another and then having to type in case i can find something, that makes the game extremely grindy.

Gameplay:
RPG, kinda sandbox, exploration, and harem.
The Gameplay consist of training stats (you and the girls) through repetitive actions. You also have to search a bit and test various commands as the engine is an adventure-text engine. So, prepare for some reading. The setup is a daily routine of 4 periods (morning-afternoon-evening-night), and some RPG-style combat. The game also is designed to be replayed (it's part of the story). The fun is really in trying to unlock stuff. The goal is to make all the girls yours.

Story:
You become master of a house with cute virgin maids, after waking up lost in a forest. The secretary tells you that you have to prepare and train the maids for an event called the Rising. So, a lot of mysterious things to unveil. It's quite silly, but the writing is very good actually.

Graphics/Animation:
It's CGI, a bit old as the game is old. But it is well made. There is not much animations. There is a lot of lewd content actually.

Sound/Music
There is voice-over and music. Again, well made.

Overall impression:
I forgot that I played this game a long time ago. And even when I realized I already played it, I was surprised again by the real ending. You have to put up a bit of work for this. But I was easily hooked to the game, and it was a pleasure to do it again. Also, the text-adventure gameplay (typing commands) is always a bit of fun IMHO, for immersion. So, great game.

So I've played the first few days and I like the game. But to me, I feel like there is something missing and it's hard to place a finger on what that may be. I'll edit my review later after I've finished the game but for now, this is what I know or have been told. The characters are sexy and fun. Each is different both physically and personality-wise. Sex scenes are pretty good for a text-based game so double props for that. The game even has some voice acting and animation which just blows my mind. Considering I'm used to getting just plain old dull text and maybe if I'm lucky a decent nude pick. Combat is fun, I love the added UNDO option that is given. Makes the game more manageable. NTR is optional thank god cause I hate NTR. Don't get NTR, never will. I've read a lot of the reviews and a lot of ppl who gave this game 5 stars were big into NTR. I think that says something about this game. Either 1. that ppl who like NTR are biased about its quality due to it having NTR, 2. the game actually may have good NTR, (again wouldn't know, hate NTR with a burning passion) or 3. it does a good job playing to no matter what you fancy. I think it's more of the latter, although the game is not without its faults.

Now for the bad. The game is already pretty grindy. Thank god for the cheats, otherwise, I'd probably give up. Secondly, there is a plot hole that gets on my nerves. You are supposed to keep the maids virgins so they can help you defeat the big baddy. But Both Rio and Kim's mom are not virgins, and aren't helping fight the big baddy, but the game pretends like they are to basically cock block you from getting any vaginal sex in the game. Personally, I love vaginal, and I love pregnancy in games. This game only really offers anal because of some stupid rule about keeping virginities intact. I get it when it comes to the maids, but seriously, the mistress of the house has had a fucking kid, and ur trying to tell me having vaginal sex with her would forfeit my right to the house as master because I'd be taking her virginity. Seriously. In the Intro she tried to fuck you but is stopped by Rio because Rio knows she is trying to trick you into giving up the master position. When the game later explains why you were cock blocked at that moment, it does a piss poor job explaining why you can't have sex with her, She isn't a virgin damnit. Then you get the spell of cockblock cast on your nuts so No vaginal sex till the end game apparently. 3. Games MC is kind of annoying at times, let you figure out how on your own. 4. It kind of ties into number 1. to get the best endings you need to play the grindy game multiple times, or use a cheat i guess.

All in all the game is fun thus far though. And it is easy enough despite the grind and limited time to do things. So as of now the game is 4 out of 5 stars. I'll edit it once I've finished the game.

- ADRIFT engine. it is like RAGS but even more shitty because they added a (bad) text parser like this is a dos game from the 1980s and made most stuff go through it. Including things that should not like combat. Dev justifies it with "this is a text game"... except it is a hybrid game containing both a gui and a text parser. Engine was abandoned halfway through this projects development. So there are some serious bugs that cannot be fixed due to being engine bugs.
- unreasonable mechanics. lust > 10 you lose 5%p love with every love with each interaction instead of gaining it. Even if the woman is already fucking you she will be disgusted by your creepy stupidity and lose love. masturbating takes 1/4 of a day and lowers lust by 15. having sex raises lust instead of lowering it. The game actually lies to you early on about this and you need to find out later about this lie. You can use focus potions to lower lust instead.
- MC is an idiot. you can not choose to not act like a moron.

- game wants you to replay it multiple times to make it even more grindy. You need to get 9 different endings (you can save scum the ending choice after the final boss is beaten. so you can get the code in 2 playthroughs if you know what you are doing) to get a code (one letter per ending) to unlock the "True Harem Ending" in your next playthrough. So at a minimum 3 entire playthroughs on an already grindy game. I only got through a single playthrough. Note that the ending picker is bugged and that it will sometimes not display endings you unlocked. so when save scumming the choice of ending you should try all numbers from 1 to 13. (for endsing you have not seen yet)
- implications that MC is in a coma and imagining the whole thing. which utterly saps my enjoyment and immersion
- annoying NTR pushing. You are offered money to whore out your girls every day after a certain point. can say no... repeatedly, every day, losing 5 love with Rio every time you say no, but gaining 5 love with the 3 main girls. Still annoying since love can not go over 100. so if girls and ryo are all at 100% love then you gain nothing and only lose. if you actually agree to be a cuck the game punishes you even more harshly, you get some worthless money and gain 5 love with rio but lose love with the 3 main girls. Mechanically you are harmed no matter what you choose, but cucks get harmed much more

hints:
1. do not click on the minimap to travel. it causes bugs if you encounter events.
2. if the game seems to get stuck during an animated sex scene you need to start smashing keyboard buttons while rapidly left clicking back and forth between animation and text boxes as it slowly advances through it step by step.
3. game lies about sex reducing lust. it raises lust. game lies about >10 lust being a possible bad result, it is 100% bad result if you try to discipline, chat, or compliment (the 3 actions that raise love). Instead what you should be doing is buying focus potions which reduce the MC's lust.
4. combat does not take up time. always do it twice a day, morning and afternoon. do it first before a scene triggers that does waste time. In combat you want to use "iku scan" (repeat it until success if it failed) to find out what the enemy weakspot is. then order one of the girls to attack it. hitting weakspot causes massive damage and also stuns the enemy for 1 round.
5. game says master is recommended to focus on 2 skill trees. not over specialized and not over diversified.
This is incorrect. you should raise all of them to 4 in a balanced manner.
then raise mouth to 10, then hand to 10, then eye to 10. then continue raising them in a balanced manner.
You raise stats through combat. see point 4.

I said it 2 or 3 years ago and I'll say it again "this was the GREATEST Adult Game that I have ever played! And Hiroshi might've been my all-time favorite character period." Years later and nothing in that statements changed!

For a Game Developer that wasn't particularly fond of NTR, this game had some of the best true Netorare that I've ever encountered in a game. It almost felt like some of the NTR could've been loosely based on some real-life sexual situations, (straigt outta the Reddit/Confessions) the way it was so expertly written. Very erotic scenes.

The game is hours of sexy fun. I played it over and over, and have come back to it at least twice per year since, and it never gets old IMO.

It doesn't feel like it was made by some kid trying to pass for an adult, but whose only experience in life revolves around school, or incest, or did I mention school, or incest at school, or lusting after their Mommy or that consider their Mommy dating "other" men ntr. This was an adult game made by an adult, for adults, that held to adult themes, to be enjoyed by ADULTS. And I loved it!

And the additional content after the ending was like your favorite DLC/expansion pack and gave us a few more hours in Hiroshi's depraved world. And although Timelapse is great don't get me wrong, even technically better in many aspects, I just can't enjoy that game as much with Hirai; compared to my enjoyment of Legacy with Hiroshi.

I think I definitely prefer my ntr with much older, gross, or fat creeps, where it doesn't feel so much like a competition of who's the better guy or whose more attractive; because that feels too realistic for me to enjoy the fantasy of ntr. Young handsome guys hitting on your lady is a real-life stressor, but in games and porn the fantasy for me is better when it's no real competition and the choice is out of the good guy's control. And as a dirty old man, he was just FUN; from his pervy laugh and the SUPERB voice acting to his visual design to seeing Iku's lipstick and kisses all over his creepy, grinning face, to Everything about his character was imo EXEMPLARY and just really well done. PLUS he just always seemed to be having the time of his life...

Never any stress or tensing up when one of the girls went into the pool room with Hiroshi, just a sense of well "if" something happens it happens; but, I definitely want to watch through the peephole... I guess my point is where Hirai (our rival in Timelapse who's approx. the same age and similar in almost every other way) kept me uncomfortably on my toes, on guard, even lightweight tense hearing his name brought up, where I genuinely built up a well-earned dislike of him and "that bastard" even being in the game, it was exactly the opposite with Hiroshi and the only thing that was ever really stressful with our harem in Legacy was the monsters and preparing for the boss battle and end game. And that is why IMO among its MANY other merits, from the piano during the opening credits to the voice acting, to the beautiful renders and the graphics, etc ... Pervert Action Legacy is a MASTERPIECE in ADULT Gaming.

And Kudos to BBBen for all the little extra details like finding your girl's panties in Hiroshi's shack. That was Hot and I really appreciated all those little details.

Training Review 3/5: I honestly don't think I would of been able to beat the game the way it was ment to be beaten since I cheated with the stats however there really isn't enough time to actually train their stats Mouth/Eyes/Hands all together. I pretty much mained one of them for each stat which made them very glass cannon like and they still struggled fighting monsters because of it. Maybe it was my way of training or my gameplay style. It wasn't very good IMO.

Sex Scenes Review 4/5: Now there is 2 Parts to the inital "sex" when its really just Anal. First comes foreplay and then into sex. Which I don't mind however I did find myself stuck on what to do next. So I just constantly spam "Rub Pussy" "Rub Tits" "Kiss" and thats pretty much it until I got to part 2. However; There is alot of different scenes that amazed me because most eroge's don't have this much depth to it. so thats a HUGH PLUS for me.

Recommendation: If you like Training and Harem games with slight free will. You will enjoy this texted based game with its depth and story with the characters.

EDIT** Even with all my other rating it negative. It is a 5 solely based on the Characters and the sheer scenes in this game. It takes a little to get used to however it will be an experience.

This game is mostly focused on its non NTR content and that content is great. The NTR stuff is good and hits at what I like. The main problem is there is no NTR ending. They make it seem like there will be more NTR with the girls saying they will keep cheating on you but thats when it stops.

I can't believe I only found out about this game relatively recently. I don't review games often but this one, I'll have to make an exception for.
The plot is great, even though important pieces are only revealed after player reaches the "true" ending. The concept is both brilliant and unique. The girls have interesting personalities and I can't help but absolutely fall in love with Iku. And keep in mind that I rarely ever actually end up liking fictional characters.
One thing I should give extra credit for to BBBen is the sound design and I don't just mean the voice acting, which is great in itself (I swear I'll get the voice actress of Iku to play a character in my game eventually) but also the ambient sounds are very well done.

The only gripes I have is I wish there were more things to do in the main ending along with more options choose your own wife and the Adrift engine is sometimes a pain in the ass for all the freedom it grants the writers and the players.

Overall: 9.5/10 definitely worth checking out.

The bad: The control system. You type shit in a box to make shit happen. Its a tedious process.

How training affects combat is pretty poorly explained, which is annoying since the finale is a stat check. Tying their stats to how you train them also means if you just have a particular fetish and keep spamming that option, you could just lose the final result for being too much of a coomer for a hentai game.

MC is kind of a wet blanket; he just sort of feels like he's 'there', vaguely existing, but not really adding much beyond being the dude we type shit to make do shit

Final boss is lame. No real identiy, boring design, just lame.

The good:
The girls are cute. Have varying personalities, all of which are likeable. 4 of them are maids. Maids are cute.

A lot of neat bonus content post-game, which includes the giant horse dick oral worship scenes, the entire reason I keep this installed.

NTR is entirely optional, with it being a result of you not telling the obvious creep to fuck off or drugging the girls you claim to care about enough to be annoyed at NTR. Although I think the latter just led to one scene anyways.

Overall, like >50% of my love for this game is just the horse dick thing, which is a bunch of bonus scenes in the post-game area, but I still think its really fucking good otherwise. If only it controlled better. Probably my favorite 3D VN style game

I had very high expectations, the base game is not bad at all, however, after trying to play for more than 1 hour I came to the conclusion that this game is very bad.

I tried playing and it keeps crashing, you need to make 2 clicks per 10 seconds or it just instantly crashes, the game is poorly coded, because if you dont have it full screen it wont properly fit in the screen.

Moreover, its so annoying to go through the game with north south like wtf? just make it wasd or something easier, also the introduction to the game is SO slow even if you skip the tutorial, so boring.

I have never rated a game lower than 5 stars yet but this one really deserves a star until the devs start giving out content and fixing this broken game.

Just finished the game (fully). I really enjoy this game. Personally, i have never been a big fan of text based game. Actually, I always think that text based game is boring due to the lack of visual (CG) which can easily cause a drop in my interest with the game. I had my fair share of trying out text based games. However, I have only enjoy Strive for Power [Maverik] and this game. Additionally, I must admit that before playing this game, I did not expect much. However, I was surprised by the game mechanic; how interesting it was to move and interact with the surrounding. Also, the voice acting was pretty nice, I did not expect that at all. Overall, this game was indeed an eye opening, it's really change the way I perceive with text based game now.

p.s I honestly did not expect that there is this much CG for a Text Based game. Also, the final ending was such a nice turn of events. :heartcoveredeyes:

Some of the best writing I've come across in a Porn game ever. The 20 day time limit in no way detracts from the anything since you can sex up the girls whenever you want once you've "broken" them for lack of a better word. The engine format may put some potential players off, but it's very reminiscent of the earliest PC adult games I played in the 90's (Fuck Dodgers comes to mind) and forces the player to get creative.
Learning curve is a little steep, but with the hints and tips in this post alone, it's not too daunting a task.
And lastly, the replayability factor is definitely there. Multiple endings, easter eggs, diverse cast of honeys to seduce/bang, something for everyone or harem for greedy douchebags like myself. Oh & the schticky humor ... gotta love it. Iku's jokes from some lame 60's joke book are priceless. Thank you BBBen.

Totally amazing game, I really appreciate the autor the hard work he put into this. I've been plating it from time to time and I'll surely come back again! No idea why there is required more words. This game is simply amazing.

Played this game through twice and enjoyed it both times. First I did a normal run, then used the cheat to make it easier and faster. It's a pretty unique game, haven't seen any where you get to type your commands in like an old school text adventure ala Zork. On my second playthrough I got the 'true' ending and let me tell you, it won't disappoint. Let's just say that everything will make sense then. I highly recommend you play through the game at least once before using the cheat mode.

Pervert Action Legacy is the third in the Pervert Action series, by BBBen, though as each of the games is standalone, you will miss very little by jumping right in to the game. It was my introduction to the series, and it is one of the best adult games ever made.

The CG in the game is passable, the art style is a bit more cartoonish than the norm as it is going for a CG Anime look, though it is still far more attractive in my opinion than say the Honey Select models that are often used for the same, there is a good variety of body types, from flat chested, to huge knockers, tall short, and everything in between.

What sets PAL apart from other games is first that it has much, much better writing on average than 95% of the porn games out there. It shown in the sex scenes, it shows in transitions, it shows in the jokes, it's everywhere. The characters are all specific archetypes, but they are all enjoyable to talk to, and the interactions between characters make them, and the world they inhabit feel a lot more alive than most.

The game has simple RPG mechanics, and a rudimentary combat system, the maids that you control get better as the game progresses, and you will fight harder and harder monsters in order to increase the main character's stats. These stats are important outside of combat as they will help you find hidden stuff, and in sex scenes you will get better results if your stats are high.

The adult content in the game takes a little while to appear, but not so long as to leave a player blue-balled, though there is one early scene to whet the player's appetite.

Fair warning though, the game is text based, and you need to type in commands, which is damned old fashioned but it allows for a lot of different ways to mess around, and allows for a lot of different options in the sex scenes, all of which are hot as hell.

Definitely check out this game!

Very enjoyable.

-A bit grindy at the beginning.
-Requires multiple play-throughs to complete all paths (I think this is a good thing)
-Art is pretty good
-Interactive sex scenes are great
-Finding the right commands can be a bit challenging, but once you figure it out, the game goes pretty smoothly.
