RPGM - Completed - Petite Goddess Emily [1.1] [Shoku]

The game is overall good. Let me start with a personal thought. Although I usually don't like regular RPGM combat in adult games, the modified version in this one is a welcomed change. The combat is made easier and less grindy by allowing you to restart before the encounter, not having to save every few minutes just so you don't lose progress. The gameplay is a simple loop of "go somewhere, defeat enemies, get an ecchi scene and progress".

As for the content: There is certainly variety. Quite a lot of scenarios to explore, and the progression of the events feel natural. The animated CG is definitely not the best I've seen, but it's serviceable. That's the only "mediocre" thing about the game in my personal taste, hence the 4 stars. The story is somewhat generic, but that's not really the point of these games anyway, is it?

damn. didn't expect such a complete coherent game since i heard so many bad things about this dev.

but the game is a whole package. basically a forced corruption. you don't lose fights, you just get trapped/blackmailed into getting more and more corrupted.

but you can take revenge on everyone in the end, that's why i call it complete. even the story is surprisingly finding its way back to completeness but i can't say more without spoiling anything.

Most H-scenes are animated. many non-con scenarios. heroine is cute. although a loli. you have some outfits.

the game feels very bland and "unfinished" in beginning, especially since you can only "wash" yourself by buying water/wash at vendor... but then the game picks it up and soon you will realize it's not some low effort game. lots of sex scenes especially by the end.

i loved the corruption pacing. i think it was done perfectly. sometimes you got some taste early on about lewd stuff but it felt really natural to fall.

i think the negative reviews are only due to forced corruption. if you don't like that, avoid it because you won't have realistic option to avoid it.

there are no gameover scenes either, so you can focus on being strong and trying to win... balance is surprisingly fine, despite the unique element in xp. every fight you get skill points which you can "buy" a stat with. (agility/attack/defense/etc).

i thought in beginning that combat is gonna be garbage and unbalanced, but it's fine. (you are still very strong, but you should be since you are a goddess.)

This RPG has a somewhat strange leveling system. So you do get the more normal kind of levels by beating enough enemies. But that's not a viable way to beat the game without grinding for hours. Instead, as well as beating enemies you also need to farm special points, mostly by still beating enemies, which you invest in stat-ups (e.g., attack or luck up) or new abilities (e.g., heal, cure). Pro tip: spam attack up, otherwise the game gets too grindy. And even with min-maxing your stats, the game is still quite grindy. After one hour I still had not seen much worth all the time. In many ways this game feels like Jumble Strikers, except without a party, without the infestation/monsters affecting your body mechanic, and with less interesting porn. This is just sub-par.

Didn't feel like I actually had an impact in the game outside of poorly balanced battles.

• Corruption is forced by story progression as in unavoidable traps where you must go through, beating a later boss even REQUIRES you to be fallen.
• H-attacks have no visual, making it a downgrade from previous works.
• So many enemies, yet most of them don't have H-animations, so instead of it being consistent, you have to check.
• The battles aren't balanced enough, given dodge exists and becomes quite the norm and not ever being sure what does the LUCK stat do or why it's necessary.
• Raising stats requires doing it one interaction at a time. At a specific place you can buy Skill Points in thousands (well, up to a thousand per interaction), yet spending them (20/per a random roll of 1-5 stats ups) is a task.
  Since there is no limit and enemies don't have an interesting strength and weakness balance, most battles become battles of attrition.
• Going over half the game with a single outfit, when there's plenty more of them is a waste. Same with proper clothing damage, Your entire progress gets dictated by the game, this is mostly walkable novel at this point.
• Vendors get upgraded, but only some, some just appear and have to be found. That ends up with many vendors selling random things and having to go through most of them.

How pathetic it is to be forced to lose, when combat was never close to losing. Awful game I had some hope for and kept going until getting fed up.

Honestly there is a lot to like about this game. There are a lot of scenes and holy damn are they good. There is also a lot of variety of different types of kinks. The story is decent and you can even outfit your character and it will show it the way you outfit her.

I had 2 problems with this game though which is why I am giving it a 4 star instead of 5 stars. The first problem is just something that I didn't like very much and its not the reason I nuked a star. I felt the way to get scenes was pretty repetitive and it was honestly boring since you always knew when and where the next scene was since they all happen almost the same way. (Basically you go through a dungeon and before the boss you get a scene) this is how almost all scenes are gotten. I think most people were okay with this and it didn't bother me to much but still felt like it hindered what could have been better.

Now the thing that made me knock off a star was something that I would consider game breaking. I mean it was game breaking right because it stops you from progressing and you have to start a new save. Basically after pregnation becomes a thing in this game if you don't buy the thing that allows you to give birth and you get pregnant again. It is basically game over you can not continue the game unless you start a new save.

I am unfortunately a victim of that and decided just to download a full save which was unfortunate since I was enjoying the game itself. I won't be starting over though since I feel like I pretty much did most things in the game and honestly getting to that point was a lot of work already.

I recommend giving it a try though great game.

When the choice is to watch the heroine become an utterly destroyed, barely able to think, disgusting wreck of a cum dumpster or get a game over, I chose game over. I really normally get into (and off on) the gradual corruption of the heroine in these sorts of games. In this one however, the only feeling I felt was pity for the young goddess who left her cushy spot in the heavens to try to help the humans. I found it uncomfortably cruel and not at all arousing. To each his/her own.

I really enjoyed it, even if you can't beat the game as a virgin still pretty good.

I also liked that you can check on you current qust at anytime and what you should do next, but sometimes they tell you to go to certen place but don't mention where is that place.
the grind was easy and if u find it hard you can check on the enemys weaknesses once you fought them.
the story wasn't that intresting it was average.

the most think i liked about this game is the level of the character corruption increasing as you keep progress, but u can use certain item to decrease it if u want.

I mean it was pretty solid corruption adventure about angel being used and eventually falling to the lust. Plenty of interesting kinks and quite harsh scenes for a character.

Used a save edit because I hate RPGM. So only reviewing content. Content is good, it's a weird ass hentai game. Good stuff. It makes you question yourself a little, like, "Why the hell do I like this?" Example... The worm. It reminds me of when I discovered tentacle hentai.

It's a decent game, albeit slow in the beginning. It builds up to the Goddess's corruption, which I assume is avoidable - I just never did.

The first half of the game is nothing but grinding. You'll trek through it because your penis commands you to. Once you finally get to the good shit, it'll be after the first "hard" boss fight you encounter. He was pretty tough, but with enough healing potions, decent weapons and a cheese strategy, you'll win.

Then, you'll get your H-Scenes. By now, if you haven't actively tried to get lewd points and haven't taken any of that anti-lewd medicine, you'll almost have 100. After completing this scene, there's no going back. You'll get a lot of lewd scenes and your descent into a Slut Goddess will start.

But ignoring that, the CGs are pretty decent. There are animations and I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's certainly a chore getting to this point though and the end game isn't very rewarding.

I still give it 5/5 for the journey. I assume there are alternate endings, I just got the one where Emily becomes a huge whore.

Game wasn't great.

The dress-up system, which also affects the CG's, was really well done. The number, and quality, of CG's, as well as the quality of the translation was also good.

Content was not super enjoyable, though. Big focus on water-sports and pregnancy, both of which I don't enjoy at all. The pacing of the content, and corruption of the protagonist, was also pretty poor. You spend the first 2/3rds of the game visiting locations and grinding through enemies, with very little H content. The final 1/3rd of the game, you stop grinding through enemies, and start grinding through gang-bangs - there's no satisfying progression of the corruption or loss of morals, which is a key part of these games, I think.

Overall, I spent 3.5 hours playing through this game, and when I encountered a crash right after a 1000 person gangbang, I stopped playing - I just wasn't interested in wading through several, tedious, un-skippable text, scenes again.
