i feel like if i made the minotaur any slower it just wouldn't be any game at all

And it would be a problem later on. Every update, old saves no longer work. So you need a new save every time. And if it's your computer, what about something new that's similar? Gonna continue to have problems.

it's the live2d that causes it. there must be some kind of initialisation in the plugin that just loses it when new models are added

i really don't... this is my main project and i can't really afford to waste energy on other projects with my burnout already making things very difficult. though yesterday i needed a break so i rebuilt my rhythm game prototype in gms2

im still waiting to get into the right mood to finish the front facing live2d model (titwank and blowjob), patrons would get new versions as each level is completed, but i can't really say how quickly I can finish each level.


layout wise i have the 2nd mission half completed, but i still need to fill some of the empty rooms in the estate, the other half is what's underground.
also wondering if i should be making some trap based lewd minigames to progress like there was in kunoichi botan.

You need to put the 4 pieces into the painting to restore it.
IIRC you need 5 pieces and must flee from the Minotaur to escape the other world

it is 4 pieces

top of tower unlocked by stone tablet
bedroom at bottom of left half
coffin at bottom of right half
locked room that you need to go down the hole the minotaur fell down to drop down and open, then hook back up to drop the boulder down to put on a pressure plate.


then return to the painting once youve seen all 4 flashbacks and hes blocked the exit and the final chase occurs

If you are looking for suggestions about the third stage and the hypno cult, I have an idea that might be interesting to you. Try including Voyeur in the level by allowing them to be slowly hypnotized as well. Since Voyeur is a tech specialist, have her help Sylphy by hacking electronic devices. The more devices she hacks, the more hypnotized she becomes as her screen displays hypnotic spirals and subliminal messages. After a enough exposure to the hypnotic influence of the cult, she finds she is compelled to help the cult by secretly tricking Sylphy into also becoming further hypnotized as well. This would happen outside of the regular help she provides Sylphy. For example, as Slyphy is walking by a tv screen that is turned off, Voyeur is suddenly hypnotically compelled to turn on a hypno spiral without telling Sylphy. The only warning the player would get is Voyeur's internal dialogue saying that she must obey and activate the trap. Another possible example is to trick Sylphy into listening to a hypnotic chant by telling her to eavesdrop on a closed door. After Voyeur becomes further hypnotized she can outright just help the cult from time to time by letting them know Sylphy's location. The player will have to react quickly to ensure Sylphy hides and doesn't get caught.

This would force the player to choose between using Voyeur to help them quickly bypass puzzles, and actually taking the time and risk to solve the puzzles themselves; possibly exposing Sylphy to further hypnotic influence if they fail to find the correct solution.

it's a good idea but id rather be more subtle and not let you hear her inner thoughts... like if she started giving bad advice as it progressed, choice between 2 switches, she picks the wrong one... stuff like that

Good point, letting the user know that it might be a trick would be too obvious. I wonder though, would you still be open to the idea of letting the player see the cutscenes of Voyeur falling under the cult control? It would serve as a way of letting them know that they have just increased the potential difficulty of the rest of the map.

maybe a live2d model thats just her head on a screen... maybe i should have level 2 have you take a drone with you so voyeur can watch you getting fucked
edit- then again i havent even drawn anything with her yet... besides the sprite i dont actually have a design for her yet

I wish i could set it up so it had the same filter that i use for the cctv, but i couldnt make it flicker the same because that would require so many keyframes
