VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Pinnacle or Precipice [v0.8] [i11uminati Productions]

The overall premise and futuristic vibe is awesome and refreshing.

For those seeking anal gaping fetish, this is your game. Major focus on the wide rosebud here.

For me, being averse to seeing it nonstop, it's just gross. I'm not a fan of that, even though I know a ton of people love it.

The writing is fine. The story is mildly interesting... The renders and realistic (A-cup-to-C-cup average) body types of the women really rock, butt the strong focus on BDSM and Anal just makes me uninterested.

[PROS]

As a sci-fi fan (though not necessarily a Cyberpunk fan), this game has been very enjoyable to say the least. Variety of kinks are flying everywhere and the sex choreography is top-notch. In terms of render/model quality, a certain game of the same genre beats this by a long shot, but for a futuristic dystopian setting, the models in this game are more believable if I may say so. The characters also each have distinct and relatable personalities with each having a different set of sexual kinks.

[CONS]

The biggest knock to this game that I can think of is its lack of divergent paths. But considering this game isn't even a year old yet, that can easily be alleviated. There's also that rape scene towards the latter portion of the game that can be off-putting for most people, but as long as its avoidable, I have no qualms about it. Although I think the dev could've handled it differently, it's not a major cause of concern for me at least.

[OVERALL]

I initially wanted to rate this game 4/5 stars but decided to give it 5/5. The issues that I pointed out are not game-breaking and can easily be addressed as the dev gains more experience, he is a relatively new dev after all. Finally, enjoyment and immersion are the most important things when playing these games, and even though this game has its issues and still has a lot of content to flesh out, it's already easily in my top 5 of most enjoyable games on F95.

I felt like I just read through the dingiest, most cyberpunk novel I have ever seen.
It wasn't short by any means as there is more than enough story rushing at you with tits and ass galore.
Character models were a bit low end but they fit the art direction so nicely its actually a plus.
Played into the domination fetish while not neglecting the character development.
Better Renders and model upgrades this would be amazing.
Looking forward to the next updates.

v0.5: it's a prologue (out of the 4 in the banner, the rightmost short-black-haired one is the only one with substantial content). Cyberpunk means mafia with saturated colors.

Fully linear. The couple choices here disable part of a porn scene; the dialogue afterwards isn't proofread to match anything but the "do all sex" option.

Avoidable (piss, masochist, clown) content. Lots of anal.

Plot: The madam and the idol have some long-term connection with the MC. Yet, while the protagonist is a one-man security detail for the idol who's a bajillionnaire's daughter, he leaves at 5pm to film/fuck a camgirl he met yesterday.

Writing is okay, the renders have good quality, I do like me a Cyberpunk setting.

Is it just me though or are many of the characters a bit on the ugly side? Including the MC and several of the girls.
Not straight out ugly, more like their faces all look a little off and they have a bit of a pasty look to them.
Also, the skins are a bit too realistic for me. I mean fe. Raven you see so many blemishes and almost zits on her skin in close-ups, that's definitely TMI for me.

Don't want to badmouth the game, a few of the ladies, including Queenie look hot enough to eat.
As for the MC, right now he seems to be switching between being an asshole and a decent guy quite a bit, I hope in the future, once we have a few meaningful decisions, we can actually influence that a bit.

In general I'd rate this between a three and a four, I'm staying on a three because none of the girls playing an active part in the game so far are particularly likeable to me and I prefer to like at least some of the characters.

This is very early on in the game, if the storyline is good, some of the girls I find more attractive play a bigger part and I can actually like them characterwise as well, this can easily go to a four, with some more improvements to writing and characterization even a five.

All in all a good effort and I'm looking forward to more.
Please keep in mind that I rate the game as it is, not based on potential, of which it has a lot.
I will go back on this review a few updates in and then adjust accordingly, depending on how the game develops.

Finally, a gritty, hardcore cyberpunk game with an actual detective story lurking within. A first game from a new dev but you can clearly see the huge efforts being put in.
The writing style is still a bit all over the place but is improving every release and the potentially epic story is worth it.
Really looking forward to the next release to see what happens next.

Overall this isn't a bad VN. The dev is putting in a lot of work on creating a good story. It's pretty linear, and there haven't been many game changing choices. I recommending giving this VN a try.
