To be fair, I think he does it partly because he has no idea how to make a good plot and fun events. It's also handy, in case someone asks what the hell he's doing, he can always say "I'm a perfectionist", deal with it. The only way to solve this is to get some help, but he doesn't want to.

I also wonder if he wants to start commissioning art now, like a SS with "wallpapers, please" tactics. It's kind of handy to show some art instead of the patch note and status update.

This game is underrated.

Abelius, if you're reading this, come back to this forum. Talk to the people here, hire some help, no one here wants to harm you. If you hire help, it will only benefit you, because many people just can't stand your endless lies and slow pace anymore. Showing art instead of status updates will only annoy people more. We both know the quality of your game is high. I see no reason for you to lower it by doing something you're not used to and probably don't even want to do, because that's exactly what you're doing right now.

Go to his discord and write the same. However, I don't think he is ever going to hire any help. He doesn't care about the project, just about his money and right now he is making enough. I would consider this game dead. After this update, which is taking half a year, he is going to rework existing logic so no content for the rest of the year, even though there is barely any new content this far.

He's a stubborn and greedy old man who is all about "ME ME ME"

He doesn't like to give any control to others, nor does he want to give them a share of the cake, which is why the development is so painstakingly slow. Even though monthly updates are impossible for him, and he knows every update takes 3+ months, he still wants to do everything by himself and doesn't even consider that he could use another pair of hands to speed up some of his easier and more basic work.

If he were a good artist himself, I can bet he would've kicked out his current artist so he wouldn't have to give him anything. Thankfully for him, the artist is paid on a job-to-job basis, so he isn't involved most of the year.

The reason for slow updates is that Pizza Hot is the dev's golden goose. There is no certainty that his next game will do as well as this one, which is why he is not motivated to complete the game. He says it himself; he will not abandon the game because it's his paycheck... Why would you complete your project when you can continue at a snail's pace over the years and continue to earn money the whole time?

Unlike working in a corporate job, where there are deadlines, accountability and one can get fired for poor performance, alongside showing up in an office 8 hours a day; absolutely nothing applies to these porn game devs.

And i get it, who in their right mind would say NO to money? But you gotta have some sort of discipline/principles to finish your work, which CLEARLY he lacks completely

thats why patreon honestly sucks, its good to give donation to youtuber, servers etc, but for proper project kickstarter is best.

not all adult devs with patreon are like this, but its a big risk to take. its not bad that he want to do everything by himself if he didnt took donations or anything, but now thats just bad managment etc lmao.
