I just wanted to add, that I feel like your numbers of about 8000$ of earnings from the game are too high.

Is he selling the game on itch.io or somewhere else?
Cause I honestly don't know about that.

I also don't know about his subscribestar income, cause they are pretty secretive about that.

Just wanted to point out, that patreon is "only" about 2500$
(Which is, in my opinion, still about 2300$ more then what he deliveres)

I do not know which day he told us, but this i can remember, the dev told us how important it is that he gets his 8-9k every month. Something i think about his wife and children. So i know Jinsojun did not make it up. I believe, he read it a long time ago as wel.

You are absolutely right.

With a quick look back, the highest confirmed earnings number i can find here was 7300/month as checked by this gentleman and i should have used that number instead.

Do not bother too much. Abelius stopt one day beeing part of this forum and deleted al of his talks. So you can not find al of it. only if someone answered him and quoted his post as well.

Don't forget, Abelius has a very high desire for attention, so he absolutely may also have bloated his own numbers at some point, just to look more important.

i may be wrong, but it seems to me that you joined late to the party and now you kind of misjudge the situation. The root of people's complaints here is not game development itself with it's difficulties and challenges. The problem is that Abelius could be a good developer, but 2 very consistent faults stop him and this game from success.

The main problem is the dev's ego, plain and simple. He is grateful and gracious when it comes to accepting praise and donations, but he ignores suggestions and blocks or bans criticism. The other is his predictably misleading communication.

To not be a hater, here are some examples:

Ignoring suggestions on it's own is not a fault but as everything else it can be taken too far. A short while ago he ran a poll among his subscribes to ask whether they wanted new locations or to develop existing ones further. Since erotic progression basically starts over for each location, people voted for the development of existing ones.
But that's not what Abelius wanted so he promised that more than half of the new updates will be focused on existing locations, with the caveat that any freshly created area will be counted as "existing location" by the patch after their release. This gives him free reign to ignore the wish of his highest paying supporters that he directly asked for.

Even more recently he fired the artist that drew everything in this game. When pressed for an explanation he said that since he (Abelius) does everything alone he wanted to cut the artist's salary to match their percentage of work done. But Abelius is the boss, so he basically didn't give his employee anything to do and then used this to justify a pay cut. But he reassured his supporters that this game won't need new artwork for years.

His contempt for his community was shown a few years back when he set the hard cap of the in game stats. The conflict was caused by people who simply went into the files and edited the numbers to unlock clothes that are still unavailable to the best of my knowledge. The dev responded by creating a system that hard resets the stats regularly to make file editing useless.

Overall his popularity stared to fade when he went on long rants about how he deserves more money than the 8-9k / month he got, because of all the work he did alone. He then schemed for months to "free himself from the shackles" of the people who paid him said 8-9k. He wanted to find a way to get that money without the people having a chance to voice their opinion.


So when you see people flaming at the development of his game, just know that it didn't start out that way. For the first 2 years this community was extremely supportive and defensive, but they have been burned way to much to keep that up.

Wow, how great. But I don't mind if people develop games just as their hobby. They might spend hours making the game, because it's their hobby, right? We also spend hours playing it. Nobody pays us for it. (Though, some cases it might be accurate ) Whether they sell it or give it for free, I don't try to find out.

No, we (at least most of us) do not know Abelius personally.
I'm afraid, nobody here has been in the same room with him ever.

But he has his own Discord.
And he is posting there quite regularly.

And YES, people are able to judge somebody by the way he talks AND by the way he delviers AND EVEN MORE by the way he keeps promises AND AT THE VERY LAST by the way he communicates with others.

Judging by that:
Abelius is not a nice person

And people still having faith in him are either careless with their money, or at the age of twelve or plain stupid.

Feel free to defend him here, but be advised:
HE MADE HIMSELF A LOT OF ENEMIES
and yes, he did this ALL BY HIMSELF

so don't feel offended, if people start reacting aggressive towards you, too.

I am sorry for your loss.

And it is true, nobody here knows the guy personally, so we don't know everything behind the scenes. But the examples i gave you for why he fired the artist or how he wanted to free himself from his supporters tyranny or his clarifications on the location poll are all things he said himself. I can look for the screenshots in this thread if you want to see them.

What's more, his previous game collapsed for very similar reasons. The other devs in that team had their faults too, but Abelius refused to work with anyone, he tried to push people out of the project and afterwards he tried to cut them out of the money as well. Ironically this includes the artist who was the team leader there. And that thread had years of flamewar over this and every member of the dev team spoke up.

In the end i'm not trying to change your mind. I'm not saying that you shouldn't enjoy the game if you like it or that you shouldn't support a fellow developer if you want to.
All i'm saying is that almost everyone who is criticizing him now has started out by saying the exact same things you do now.

Did you just come into this thread to simp for Abelius? Because if so, you're doing a terrible job of it. You still never answered my question saying which part of this game is actually fun, so if your whole plan was to come here and say "This game is actually good you're all just too dumb to have fun!" then mission accomplished I guess.

1. I like the vibe of the story. He was inspired by a Jav series I enjoyed.
2. customization of the story. player choice is incredibly important.
3. the mc innocent personality is wonderful. There are too many games that are too vanilla.
4. the pizza shop gameplay is fun
5. They don't try to put an innocent women in a thong and say she's a virgin, it literally kills any immersion.

To live with Kayla & Mr. Humper, to work at the pizza place, to go to one certain massage parlor, to go to one certain clothes shop (after Kayla takes you there, not before), to let bus passenger grope you once you do have the arousal needed (you're not allowed to have the lewd or exhib by the dev, yet), to go to the beach... OR, to do absolutely nothing at all?

And what are your thoughts on Abelius losing his artist because he wanted to cut his pay?
