The beer-drinking scenes at the restaraunt are broken on fast machines. He's been planning on overhauling the entire restaraunt mini-game anyway, so no short-term fixes are planned. Or maybe you can emulate a slower machine or something; mine's a beast.

Mainly bug fixes. Some of which he claims lead to serious performance improvements. Here's what he said on Discord:

v0.16B.j (2026 Jan 17) Changed

• [Technical] Dramatic performance gains, after eliminating 'every frame' expensive logic. Lag spikes are gone in the restaurant, too.
• [Technical] Video debugging recorder changed to async, zero allocation logic for better performance.

Fixed

• Uniform box not showing after changing in the storeroom (soft locked).
• Front bus passenger not showing in 'remember' events.
• Incorrect layer sorting for bus passenger undressing actions.
• Flash/pixelation effect getting stuck on some occasions (e.g., last event of beach peeping tom).

This one took me longer. It'll probably be the last patch I do before v0.17. Some serious performance gains, but I'm not sure if I've broken anything in the process.

Theres probably something you can do to limit your framerate in drivers or with a utiility. I know there are some RPGM games where I've had to add an internal extension that caps the framerate cause it would fuck up QTEs.

Edit: Yes, I'm aware this is unity, before anyone says anything. Hence why I said with drivers or some kind of utility first. That was an example.

I remember Abelius saying, during the flame war in the LOK Remake thread, that this game would take him just a few months to complete, and yet here we are.

the game keeps stopping mid dialog and not doing anything, i had to skip the first week to get it to work right and now the character positioning is off to the point where im sitting on thin air and im standing on the sink, from what ive seen the writing and art are good but i keep running into bugs that i dont know how to fix or work around.

It's kind of adorable seeing new people coming in with comments like "X doesn't work. How to fix?" or "This game looks nice, waiting for next update" etc. while there is 5 year long debate going on between the dev, past subscribers that had enough and new naive ones. I checked out this game a good while back because I liked what LOK represented but dang I think the other people that delevoped that game weren't a problem kek. Anyway time to read the conversation of the circus owner explaining to his guests why the animals are dead, clowns can't perform a single trick and it's raining on them trough holes in the tent

So when the time comes and you actually have to provide some real content, something for people who haven't given up hope yet that have waited for several years now, what will you do without Naikal? Go the AI route? Try to hire another artist (lol good luck)? Call it quits and abandon the game?

So I just got to the beach, swam and had sunscreen applied. When I left I went to the huts and everyone I clicked on said I had to shower first. I did the reload thing and its still saying that. How the F do I leave and why is damn game so buggy?

Are their any actual H scenes in this game or is it just 5 years of the dude "updating" the game with only groping. Its like he and the guys making the Innocent Waitress game are competing on who can update their game the most without actually adding anything remotely interesting.

You can’t save during dialogues and in certain areas. Finish the dialogue first.
