alright, I see.
anyway, people often asked me if it was okay to take inspiration from my games, this is the first time someone did it without my consent and I dont know how to feel about it. I don't want to discourage you but I strongly advice you a couple of things, first of all try to ask before re-doing something you saw from another indie, secondly try to understand the limits of how to "take inspiration".
I played the demo and it's very cool so far, but I noticed many things that felt awkwardly familiar (resized tileset, love interest following you, corruption points, enemies harassing you in battle, even the villa kinda reminds me of Artificial Blood's villa)!
I think you got a good spirit and you have a potential to do a good game but try to have your own identity and talk and discuss with other creatives when you like their idea and I could become your biggest fan :3
hope I didn't seem harsh, I really want to encourage you doing your things in your way, and I also want to enjoy your works without feeling awkward (it was really weird)
As someone who loves NTR Bunnies and Artificial Blood, I've gotta say... resized tileset, love interest following you, corruption points, and enemies harassing you in battle is, like... almost all porn games, with the last one or two being more common in the NTR genre.
Your games are unique in their own ways, but not for any of the complaints/similarities you posted in your message.
IMO, as a fellow creative, "taking inspiration" isn't something you need permission for. People are constantly inspired by so many different people, genres, and styles that it'd be impossible to cite them all, let alone contact and verify "permission".
If this creator was ripping or tracing your tilesets that'd be one thing, but they're... just resizing the base assets kek. I haven't played this particular game, yet, so I can't comment on your remarks on the villa, but the OP posted a response to you already indicating that they haven't played the game you found the similarity to.
The Paranoid Pumpkin this game is on my todo list. I love NTR games and Zombie games, and there aren't nearly enough games that combine the two concepts. The art in the previews looks great as well. Keep it up!
EDIT: As a point of interest, I recently just finished
Mirage Defection, which has a detailed corruption system, enemies that harass your companions, has a love interest follow you for a short period, and all takes place in a castle. Just a game I was playing last night has 4 of the 5 similarities Hasselnut was worried about. They're not... unique or rare features.
