The novel begins in a spaceship, being you a volunteer soldier in an experiment of travel between worlds, to be able to pay the cost of your Father's treatment.
The experiment goes wrong and you end up in a medieval world, where you find: a purple ramister who is the creator of that world, a race of cat people that live to a specific age (I don't remember exactly, but I think it's up to 24.27 years) and a warrior princess.
Together you travel to the home of the cat people (I forgot to mention, the cat people treat the purple ramister like a god, and as only you can see him, they think you are his oracle)
