Hello everyone
I'm very new to designing games, so please be kind .
I am currenlty in the process of developing "Pleasure District", a solo-card-game that combines the familiar mechanics of deckbuilding with an adult theme. The game is set in a fantasy world where the player manages a Pleasure District, aiming to attract and satisfy a variety of suitors with a host of enchanting maidens working at their brothel.
Game Overview: At its heart, "Pleasure District" is a straightforward deckbuilder. It doesn't reinvent the wheel but adds its own flavor with mature content and a thematic focus on the pleasure district's ambiance. The game includes various card types:
- Maiden Cards: The cornerstone of your district, each maiden comes with unique attributes and the potential to sway the game in your favor.
- Action Cards: Use these to alter the game's dynamics, from enhancing maidens to changing suitor requirements.
- Building Cards: Develop your district's infrastructure, unlocking new opportunities and strategic advantages.
- Suitor Cards: Satisfy these clients by pairing them with the right maidens, earning rewards that contribute to your district's fame and fortune.
- Hazard Cards: Represent the challenges and obstacles you'll face, adding a layer of risk and unpredictability to your strategy. Failing to please suitors consecutively can introduce these cards into your deck, potentially derailing your plans.
Art and Theme: The game's art, created with AI, features an array of seductive and captivating illustrations that complement the adult theme. The aesthetic is designed to immerse players in the game's adult atmosphere. It is definitely NSFW.
Gameplay and Mechanics: Players will find the gameplay familiar if they've played deck-building games before. The objective is to strategically manage your cards to build an efficient engine, satisfying suitors and accumulating fame points. Some cards have requirements that must be met, while others can only interact with specific other cards. Hazard Cards introduce challenges and setbacks, adding an element of risk management to your strategy.
Play Options: "Pleasure District" is not (yet), technically speaking, a video game. It can be experienced in two main ways: on Tabletop Simulator for a digital experience or as a print-and-play game for those who prefer a physical setup.
Invitation to Playtest: I'm looking for playtesters. The game is far from finished, and is still very much in an alpha version. But if you're interested, let me know, and I can hook you up with the rules, components etc. Either for print and play or for Tabletop Simulator.
I'll keep this thread updated and hope that some of you might be interested.
