From what I know about software versioning (which it's not much), if the first number of the release is "0", it's not finished or it's on beta (or even alpha) stage. Basically, this hack rom is still a work in progress.

First get a fresh emerald rom then use the patch on it you need a tool for that but you seem to have it you will get the patched rom at that point if you already have it and want to keep your save then save then rename the new rom using the name of the old one and then replace the old one with the new rom

Someone should probably put the explanation in the op instead of someone having to explain it three times every page
